    I've been looking at building a new system and I have to agree with you about the AMD 3000. A good price for some good performance. I might go more expensive when I build my computer, depends on how much i have left over after big screen tv and furniture and such.

    Im running 1.07 with adblock and fliterset.g installed. I dont get any popups. However, the status bar at the bottom does say "waiting for www.activewin.com..." so it may be hung up on trying to load the popup.

    You're right. I want to buy CD's, specifically I recently wanted to buy the latest Foo Fighters CD, In Your Honor. But I noticed that it was Copy Protected. The amazon reviews talked about this in detail. I decided I simply wouldnt buy a "CD" if it wasnt guarenteed to even play in my car CD player much less be able to rip to my MP3 player and install who knows what on my PC.

    what about when the law breaks the constitution? Article 35 of the Chinese constitution states:
    Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and of demonstration.

    and then theres article 41:
    (1) Citizens of the People's Republic of China have the right to criticize and make suggestions to any state organ or functionary. Citizens have the right to make to relevant state organs complaints and charges against, or exposures of, any state organ or functionary for violation of the law or dereliction of duty; but fabrication or distortion of facts for the purpose of libel or frame-up is prohibited. (2) The state organ concerned must deal with complaints, charges or exposures made by citizens in a responsible manner after ascertaining the facts. No one may suppress such complaints, charges and exposure, or retaliate against the citizens making them. (3) Citizens who have suffered losses through infringement of their civic rights by any state organ or functionary have the right to compensation in accordance with the law.

    But with this talk of LCD tvs and CRT's, I'm wondering if there is a comparison out there, or if anyone has any advice for what I should buy for a HD big screen tv for my new apt. How do LCD's compare to DLP's as far as cost, quality of picture, and size go?

    does anyone else find it ironic that the grand-parent poster seems to be advocating stricter gun control in an /. article talking about govt abusing its power? The right to bear arms should be a universal human right. No armed populous has ever been the victim of genocide. No armed american people will be the subjects of tyranny.

    yeah i know, i was just trying to make a joke about how gas isnt that expensive compared to some stuff we buy. Of course, you know some rich girl (or a guy i guess) would use avion sparkling spring water or some such, you know, the same ones that pour $3 a bottle water into their dogs water bowl.

    Still, this would be great if its not vaporware.

    or it could be because their controllers are horrible and no one would buy them. Your reason is probably most right though. What I would really like is ps2 controller working for xbox, that would be awesome. no more worrying about how to contort my hand to push the white button, or whether its actually the white button im hitting and not the black button.
