I heard that there's some kind of new computer being developed that might do just that - I thnk it's called an Amiga? Or is it a Macintosh..I don't know, all this new technology is too hard to keep up with.
Stories like this always just astonish me. Surely companies like this would realise by now, that by pulling this kind of stunt, they are essentially slashing their own wrists. Bullying their way into a legitimate discussion about their product by making questionable demands that screencaps be taken down just a) raises suspicion about the quality of their product, b) generates a lot of negative publicity and c) turns the very people that their product is targeted at against them!
Striesand effect FTW
What was going to be Generals 2 anyway, has been cancelled and re-made into an 'online Command and Conquer experience' 'set in the Generals universe' or some such nonsense. I hope it fails, and hard, I was actually quite looking forward to Generals 2, not some always online crap
Ah memories..I used to have to compile my own kernel, on Slack, to get the driver for my parallel port Zip100 drive to work. When I had a smokin' P90 and 1Gb drive.
I'm not sure it will make a lot of difference to be honest. The Wii-U has the touchscreen controller, shipped with every Wii-U. It is a consistent, core component that publishers know will be present and can reliably build functionality for, whereas this is a kind of add-on that publishers can't count on being present, or even consistent. Different screen resolutions, depends on network availability, which may or may ot introduce some lag or delay. I can't really see it being anything more than a short lived novelty
It's possible, but I think in this case, it was probably because Stratasys became AWARE of this. I believe that it was a purely arse-covering move on Stratasys' part. If they allowed it to continue, being fully aware of what their equipment was being used for, and someone out there decided it would be ultra cool to take these plans and continue on their merry way, made a full plastic gun, and it exploded and took off their fingers - well, I'm sure that Stratasys would have some kind of legal case thrown at them. This way, they have been seen to be taking action. I don't necessarily agree with their actions, but I can understand their viewpoint too.
While in a hospital waiting room a few weeks back, I found a range of National Geographics, Dating from 1969 to 1972. They were actually interesting to read, moreso just to look at the ads for the latest and greatest from Datsun.
I loved D2, and still play it occasionally with my sons (who, incidently was 1 when it was released and the other wasn't even born - I feel so old), so I really was looking forward until D3 until I found out about the always online thing, and that was the deal breaker for me. Trading house, DRM, whatever the reason, always online is just not practical nor even possible, I spend a lot of time on trains (3 hrs + per day) travelling through regional areas with spotty coverage at best. I picked up TL 1 and enjoyed it, so I'll pick up TL2 for the multiplayer goodness and replace D2.
Maybe we should give him an aimbot, to blast people hiding behind the wall off his lawn

I've heard there's good money for their pelts

It's April 2nd here. Does that mean I get to punch the editors in the balls?
Mines 26, and I'm 41 - do I win? :D
No choice - he should be given a copy of SimCity as his payout.

Ah the old 'its fully supported and works great!' cry. Having been on the receiving end of that one as well, I sympathise. Thanks
Just curious - what eventually swayed your decision to go the Windows path?
I would have thought that the now-removed robosparrow head's last words would be "I'll be back", as it's one glowing red eye faded out..
Tyrion Lannister, is that you?

I'm going to try that! I put a playing card on with a clothes peg to make motorbike sounds as I rode..but a kickstand! Genius!
Unicorns too? Except the North Korean ones, of course
Well a bigger problem than oxygen, is getting the 18th century orphans with cockney accents there to mine it.
Maybe he's very model of a modern Major-General?
Way too much Oo-mox
Weren't there reports of offers of sex for gas on craigslist too?
*sigh*..I second that. I saw it only a few weeks back, too.
