    ie. Tiger Woods PGA.

Wii sports is simplistic in more ways than just its graphics (of course, that's part of what makes it great)

yeah one problem I had with Grandia 2 was it was too easy. Even without using cheap hacks like the fire thing, it really was simple except for a couple of bosses (don't get me started on the final boss, what a rip-off)

One thing I found I could do was put all my defensive bonuses on one person and then give them the skill that makes every enemy attack them. They take no damage while everyone else runs around and kills all the bad guys, using no SP or MP and losing no health. This doesn't really work against bosses though.

it wouldn't help Wii sales if those games were released NOW, since they're still selling almost every unit they produce.

I think Nintendo knows exactly what they're doing, those games weren't pushed back because they weren't ready, they were pushed back because it doesn't make sense to release them yet, since it won't increase the sales of the Wii, and they would be much better served releasing them before Christmas (guarunteeing a sell-out Christmas this year)

I wouldn't say the PS3 is "slaughtering" the xbox in japan. while it's sold a lot more units, the PS3 is actually really struggling, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it. Interestingly enough, the PS3 only just overtook the X360 in terms of software sales.

When you consider that the Wii is outselling the PS3 at a generally higher ration than the PS3 is outselling the X360 (which is a dismal failure in Japan) then it looks bad.

Basically, everything rests on the shoulders of Final Fantasy XIII. If Square-Enix doesn't deliver, I think Japan is lost for Sony.

in fact, after playing grandia II (which, apart from the really corny dialogue and voice acting, was a fantastic and underrated game) I tried playing other JRPG's and was astounded at how boring and simple their battle systems were.

I don't get why more JRPG's don't use it as it's a fantastic system. Also, whatever happened to grandia III?

this appears to be a common misconception about the way WiiConnect24 works. WiiConnect24 is just the name of the service, like WiFi Connection was the name of the DS Internet Service.

If you don't want your Wii connected to the internet when it's off, it's simple enough, turn WiiConnect24 ON and turn Standby Connection OFF. Your Wii will be connected to the Internet only when it is on, it will update itself when it is on, and it will disconnect from the Internet when it is off, saving your precious $10/year.

I thought this was pretty self-explanatory but most people get it wrong.
