"injuries" during ladder climbing or taking a bath... Are they head injuries? I think there's a reason why helmets are required for cyclists. Of course I had two head injuries from cycling as a child without a helmet so maybe I don't think as good as I think.
I always use 14 people (until later when I get an avenger). When you're clearing out a terror site or capturing an alien battleship, you need the raw numbers to sweep the area. One or two guys get stuck with "motion sensor" duty, and the rookies are useful for opening suspect doors (where you know 2-3 aliens are lurking inside). Also, if the soldiers are tougher and the terror sites are smaller, there's little chance for fear. Also, I was wrong; it's a 4 soldier limit that can be expanded to 6 with add-ons.
Is it still planned to have small terror sites and only six squaddies per mission? If the sizes are increased to be much bigger, I might buy it (depending on DRM).
Is it just the timing of when gentoo and ubuntu were first released (flavor of the month), or were people getting sick of gentoo's peculiarities and just wanting a Linux that worked immediately after install?
If the make fails, a non-advanced linux guy will freak out, call an advanced linux guy who will promptly ask why they absolutely must have feature $foo in the latest version of $app instead of using the stable version in the distro's repo. If the answer is good, advanced linux guy will install the missing headers (or correct some broken C code). Otherwise, the stable app will be installed via apt or yum.
No, Google Maps for iOS 5 and earlier does not have turn by turn directions. Not even mute ones. It has routes between two points, drawn on a north upward 2D map. There's no indicator saying what direction you need to take at the next junction.
Yes, it does. I use it whenever I take a trip. You have to tell it when you've turned, but it shows you a new map up to the next turn. If you can't understand a north-upward 2D map, then you've got problems.
Glad I'm not the only one who imagined Steve Jobs' corpse tied to a string and being dragged along the sidewalk in front of Google's headquarters.
"Oh, hey, Look! A Steve Jobs free for the taking!"
Mr. Fantastic, actually. Unstable Molecules.
I guess cancer is kind of like a super power.
What a twist!
But is there ape life?
I thought that was leprechauns. You get their chamber pot of gold if you catch them.

An eve online dude can work for the CIA too.
When a society is successful, it finally has the luxury of protecting its weakest members. You may have your cause and effect reversed.
In America, first you get the sugar then you get the couch, then you get the diabetes.

Maybe Apple bought bargain basement 5 year old data?
Pile on!
My bet is on "jerk-faced" being unrelated, stemming instead from "[beef] jerky" as a way to insult a leathery skinned person.
This story is actually important. Maybe not for /. users, but I have friends who are still spreading the PM FUD on FB.

Incorrect. I also listen to Rush Limbaugh. This was brand new to me.
I for one have never heard of this. I'm betting a lot of people haven't.

/bin/sh ./configure
/usr//bin/make
/usr/bin/make install

i rather drink water than american beer lol
That's like saying you'd rather eat bacon instead of something that came from a pig.
Unless they're battery replacement stations, but those won't fly until there are a whole lot of them (in case you get swapped a dud).

A simple lawyer's letter to the violator might be enough too. Consult a lawyer.
