I use the command line all the time, and light window managers...makes things run alot faster! And I often choose Lynx over Firefox/Swiftfox for browsing.
...most of the old skool jungle I mix was only released on vinyl anyway, the real underground stuff always is, so it's always gonna be vinyl. Don't understand people who use CD mixers, they're not real DJs.
I got my turntables last year & have been buying vinyl for a while...I mix old skool jungle mostly, but must say that vinyl is the s**t! You can definitely notice the quality there...
Forget CDs & MP3s - it's all about vinyl if you're serious about music. I've just started mixing jungle/hip hop/reggae & notice the quality difference already - the sample rate is much higher!
There are alot of punks still going strong today....despite what the media would have you think, they are in many ways akin to hippies (in their philosophy)..alot are peaceful, vegan folk who want nothing more than a free world & to see this capitalist western world fall.
Almost everyone here in the UK has a PS2, and everyone i've spoken to has no desire to purchase a Wii or Xbox 360 - it's all about the PS3 & it'll Cell Processor, and.......it even runs Linux!

Linux Mint is an Ubuntu-based distro with all the codecs & drivers you should need for desktop use, it's worth checking out!
