I sort of agree with the AC - everything can backfire in some disastrous way. My daughter's piano teacher fell down some steps and bruised her arm. I got a splinter in my finger putting logs into the woodburner. Question is, is the risk worth it?
Your shop. Don't buy it. Blizzard can (and probably will) ignore every other comment than the almighty $. Come to think of it after the tons of moola they made from WarCraft they can probably ignore the piddling $$ they're missing from disgruntled potential SC][ and D3 buyers.
The brits are forever preaching to the US about how this type of mob violence, and how it never happens in Britain (ignoring history) and how British police are for the most part unarmed.
Citation needed. The Brits (I'm an ex) will have problems saying it never happens in Britain after Northern Ireland, the riots in the late 70s, etc. I can't believe they can say that those never happened when they can so easily be caught out.
I've found that everytime I come across a CIO (or whatever title of the month the IT manager has) who's worked in Microsoft, they convert the whole set-up to Microsoft. Whether that's a good idea or not. Sometimes they don't even go through the motions of going to tender, and just start buying the licences.
Replace the '70s mantra "no-one ever got fired for buying IBM" with "no-one ever got criticised for recommending Microsoft".
Not sure if this is an issue in other countries, but here (NZ) we have nasty-looking, tattooed individuals who squirt your screen with guff and then wipe it off as soon as you get to the lights. I usually get my wipers going to discourage this sort of thing (once they lose a finger, they soon learn). But imagine the damage to a huge HUD display/touchscreen in the roadster....
If you really want to BUILD the house instead of just assembling it, first you must create a universe. Anything less and you are just assembling a kit..
If I remember Carl right, it was an apple pie and not a house. But, your point still stands. And you can't live in an apple pie. Nor can you eat a house.
But how is success defined? Is it just money, or is there also success also come from the praise of your peers, a lasting legacy, an enduring body of art?
Well said. Think about Van Gogh. When alive, he was dirt poor and ridiculed as a waste of space. Roll on a century and a bit, and he's said to be the best artist around. His work is priceless. Ok, he died dirt poor and is still dead - but looking back from where we are now, he added a lot to civilization. The collective value of the race (ok, high faluting' stuff. Sorry).
Good point. Between contracts once in Ireland I helped sort out the PCs at my daughter's primary school. Trashed the virus stuff, installed a AV, fixed up hardware errors, reinstalled whatever where necessary. But Ireland's not as political as the States.
The school principal gave me a cut-glass decanter which I still have (somewhere).
Ten years means he will probably enjoy the fruits of his labor at 35, when he retires with some of that 36 million (or the other multi-millions the feds never found) that he squirreled away off shore.
Don't drop the soap in the shower in the meantime.
You jest, but daughter has found that playing a real guitar (she does) is actually easier than playing GH. Maybe the fault with the game is that it was more complex than the real thing, and the skills weren't transferable...
I think it's news when Attachmate do the right thing. I use some of their stuff here at work, and they always strike me as being in it for the bucks (yeah, we all are - but most of us pretend) and employing staff that appear to be me as being, well, a little back from the forefront of the industry.
Just wait for the next headline... this is reminiscent of Cheney warning of Bird Flu pandemic... and everyone stocking up on vaccines, boosting the profits for Cheney-controlled companies.
IMHO, yes.
So would Sulu. Oh, wait ....
Depends on the titles: "Looting for Dummies" is a case in point. They know that already (but then if they did, why would they loot it?)

... I can't let you overtake that car.
No, Klingon.

>>My My, you're just full of excuses today.
Hey, don't blame me if someone checks your numbers.
It'd also be fair to mention that between 10%-30% of the US prison population aren't actually from the US.
Other countries are offshoring their prisons to the US? Excellent...
Leading to the oblig. 'Bloom County' http://www.gocomics.com/bloomcounty/1988/07/07/
What happens after the 'Bubble' bubble?
Tut. Toil and trouble, obviously.
Perhaps, a car analogy will help.
Always.

Money isn't everything.
Always use a pay phone.
If there's someone with "nothing +10 years xp" I'll take that guy instead.
I am that guy. My Resume is in the post. :)

I just hope they get it on video for the Smithsonian. I cried last night at the last defecation.
Why, what had you been eating? Oh, theirs
I saw a guy txting while standing at the urinal. He was using both hands to txt. I didn't stand next to him to do my business, btw.

Ok, it's a conspiracy. Good one, though, huh?
If you care to learn more, you'll have to devote more than 60 seconds to research, sorry.
Oh come on now - this is Slashdot ... no-one spends 60 seconds research. Calvin's law applies (ignorance is instantaneous).
