His post is based on twisted history and ignoring inconvenient facts. Fortunately there are still people who remember and are willing to set the record straight. You may as well start reading them since they won't go away, inconvenient facts seldom do. In fact you may want to start reading from those sites anyway. If you believe the nonsense in his post you don't have enough diversity in your reading material, so it will do you good.

Re:I still see a market ....
Both of the numbers we listed are correct: about half from membership dues, and 3.2% from corporate donations. The NRA also gets money from advertisements in its publications, payouts from its endowments, donations from members, donations from state-level gun-rights groups, etc. The point I'm trying to make is that there simply isn't a logical case to be made that gun companies control the NRA when they don't provide even close to half of its funding, while gun-owning members provide more than half.
Indeed, that would be inefficient when they can get members to do their dirty work for them.
You're literally saying that people acting in what they've each determined to be their own best interest, is in fact a giant behavioral control conspiracy. If the NRA's policies really were so out of line with the membership's desires, we wouldn't see the membership continue to increase. Your whole argument relies on the pretentious fallacy that people don't know what is best for themselves, but you do.
The judicious use of outright lies, such as the "they're coming to get your guns" narrative, also helps.
All but the last one of these is from THIS YEAR.

Politifact: Is the penalty less than the cost of insurance? TRUE
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2013/jan/24/ron-desantis/desantis-says-obamacare-tax-cheaper-insurance/CBO estimates that 6 million people will pay penalty rather than buy insurance in 2014; also, IRS says the cheapest insurance for a family under the ACA will be $20,000. (I think the CBO estimates will prove to be very low. $20K is more than the pre-ACA average cost of insurance for a family.)

Re:I would laugh...
You do realize that Bill Clinton initiated several wars that killed thousands of innocent Serbs - to deflect attention from his peccadillos. Even if you agree that NATO should have intervened in Bosnia then you need to consider Kosovo as a separate case. In Kosovo Bill Clinton effectively helped the Islamicist Albanians ethniclly cleanse Serbians from Serbian territory. Please go and do the research. You won't hear the facts from the mainstream media as they are lying to you. Which is why you think Bill and Hilliary Clinton are great - when in fact they are terrible once you get past their veil of lies. GW Bush may have had plenty of faults (eg. not bright) but he didn't lie like the Clinton's did - think about it, despite all the pressure to find WMDs in Iraq (which had been moved to Syria by that time) or fake their presence he had to concede they weren't there. Which meant he didn't lie when he said he thought they were there, and he didn't lie when they weren't found. All of Bill and Hilliary Clinton and Obama are pathological liars. The reason you can't see this is because the veil of lies that the mainstream media put up - they have you in the Matrix. It's up to discover the truth about the International Leftist agenda (eg. using Islamic immigration and the Muslim Brotherhood against its foes), if you want:

Re:Well, yeah.
Sigh, you use the label "paranoid nutjob" so you can dismiss what he is saying without actually thinking about it. The International Left has a Jedi Mind-Trick for weak willed people. Look up 'Cultural Marxism' on YouTube. Learn about the history of Cultural Marxism, and how your response is *exactly* how you've been conditioned to behave.
pecosdave's position is correct if you are believer in the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights (I am, despite not being a US citizen). The Obama campaign has been in overdrive and he points out how this was so, in his experience. Furthermore, it appears you are an Obama supporter. Have you noticed what the man you elected has been doing? He has been attempting to push laws to neuter aspects of the Constitution, and using Executive Orders to rule by dictate. Now, he is not the only politician to have done this (Clinton, GW Bush etc nearly as bad).
Either you agree with the Constitution (Libertarian) or you don't (Democrat or 'RINO' Republican - where your 'political tribe' feels it can dismantle the Constitution as an 'anachronism'). pecosdave does. I do. Perhaps you ought to consider your position on the issue before you start throwing around the 'nutjob' label. Have you ever considered that perhaps the reason you don't understand pecosdave's position is that he is possession of a substantial number of more facts than you are - which is why react the way you do (and the reason you know less than pecosdave is that the Cultural Marxists running the mainstream media are holding a lot of information back to protect their man, Obama, no matter how egregarious the actions of his regime become). Think about it, please.
http://www.breitbart.com/
Breitbart is not unbaised, for sure - but you will find many facts there that are *actively suppressed* by mainstream media (New York Times, LA Times, BBC, Washington Post, Huffington Post, the US TV networks etc). Get clued up, dude. -

Re:so what is porn?
Thank you very much for doing the research Bearhouse. Many simply assume they know what the teachings of Islam are (mistaking it for Judaism or Christianity - when it most certainly is very different) and demonize me. The more research you do, the worse Islam gets as you uncover layer upon layer of lies and deliberate 'taqiyya'.
Those would would defend our liberties against Big Government and Islamism are losing the 'information war' very badly. When even above average intelligence Slashdotters don't know the facts it is worrying. Thankfully you decided to 'check your facts'. If only our politicians, journalists and military would do this.
Here are some alternative news sources for you. I'm not suggesting they are entirely correct on everything, or without their own biases, but they do raise facts that are troubling and not presented by the mainstream media (which is why people are so in the dark as to what is really going on geopolitically):

I suggest reading them for a week to get a feel for whether they are worthwhile to follow or not (don't read them exclusively though - they need to be compared to other sources too).I also strongly suggest you check the lectures by Stephen Coughlin on Youtube, and also look up the allies of the Islamists with an excellent documentary on 'Cultural Marxism' and how it has permeated Western universities and general culture. You don't have to agree with me, but please do the research so you can see the Matrix that is constructed around us (prison bars only work when they are invisible).
Please note: "Muslims" (who are people) are not the enemies of liberty, it is "Islam" (a political ideology) that is. Just as Free People confronted and defeated National Socialism and Communist Socialism we will also have to defeat the political tyranny of religious socialism (Islam). The longer we leave it to 'get real' about Islam - which means strengthening our enforcement of 21st Century Law and Enlightenment values the harder it will get. I hope it does not come to War - but the Islamists already see the struggle between Enlightenment Civilization and Islamism in those terms.

Some are requesting their phone records as well
Here's a person allegedly conspiring with four other men to hijack armored trucks full of cash
who wants his phone records from NSA and his lawyer has a good case for it's request.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/06/13/Bank-robber-NSA-recordsFTA:
"The case, which is taking place in federal court, involves phone records – the FBI and prosecutors have been using cellphone records to
demonstrate the men’s locations near the robbery attempts. The prosecution said that it was unable to
get cellphone records from the time before September 2010 because the phone carrier had destroyed the records.""But Brown has new hope: his lawyer, Marshall Dore Louis, filed documents requesting NSA documents showing phone location records for Brown’s cellphones on the night of one of the robberies. “The president of the United States has recognized this program has been ongoing since 2006,” wrote Louis, “to gather the phone numbers [and related information] of everybody including my client in 2010.”"

Dude, consider that this guy has been described by Alan Dershowitz as "Off the charts smart" in comparison to his other Havard peers. Since Cruz is so smart, then how come he makes statements you find that make him sound like a "whack job"? think about it for a bit, please. It turns out that Cruz is telling the truth but the disinformation from the mainstream media is so pervasive that a normal individual like yourself is convinced that those who tell verifiable truth are insane. Rather than suck up more Cultural Marxism (look on YouTube for this term) from the mainstream media perhaps you could instead look at alternative sources like http://frontpagemag.com/ and http://www.breitbart.com/. Please read the articles there every day for a week (at first you'll think its all whacko, but after a few days you will see that they report the truth, admittedly with some right bias, but are far more truthful than the mainstream media). Then you will understand that Cruz is a truth-teller, it is just that you happen to be the Cultural Marxist "Matrix" - so can see the transparent prison walls that are caging your mind. Good luck finding the truth and dispensing with the lies that the Obama Regime and the complicit media are deceiving you with.

- Where the DOJ can seize the phone records of reporters without a warrant.
- Or where the DOJ illegally seizing the health records of 10 million Americans.

Re:Just remember white-heads in Florida ...

Re:Regardless of your political background
The problem with your post is that you are in a fantasy land.
When any Republican steps slightly out of line, all the newspapers and all the TV networks (except maybe Fox) all jump all over the Republican. When any Democrat does anything even slightly bad, the media circle the wagons.
When Obama's Attorney General dismissed a cut and dry case of voter intimidation (just because the perps were black) there was no media outcry. Imagine if Bush's AG had dismissed a case just because the perps were white, or rich, or you name it.
Look at Benghazi. The whistleblowers have given testimony that the Administration knew all along that it was a terrorist attack and that the YouTube video had nothing to do with it. They also testified that the order to "stand down" the rescue efforts could only have come from the very top of the command chain, i.e. the President. Look how the LA Times covered this major story: "Partisan Politics Dominates House Benghazi Hearing" http://www.breitbart.com/InstaBlog/2013/05/08/Here-s-How-the-LATimes-Covered-Today-s-Explosive-Benghazi-Hearings
In comparison, think back to when Bush was President, and how the media attacked him. For a short time after 9-11 the media left Bush alone, but after that, it was a dogpile. The media created a story that Bush played too much golf, created a story when every 1000th soldier was killed in Iraq, etc.
When a Republican asshole sent sexts to interns, the media had a field day and the guy had to resign in disgrace. When Anthony Weiner sent dick pics to college age girls, the media tried to back up his ludicrous claim that he was "#hacked" until it became impossible (because conservative bloggers did the detective work the media refused to do).
The Democrats in Congress pulled outrageous stunts on Bush's nominees for Supreme Court and other appointed positions, which would have cause a fire storm had any Republican tried it.
So far as I can tell the Demcrats already pull any stunt they want and the media is fine with it, but when the Republicans do anything the media sniffs it out and shouts to heavens about it.
So the Democrats play all sort of dirty tricks and you just never hear about it. The D's are not as pure as the driven snow.
Chicago is legendary for vote fraud and corruption and hardball politics ("The Chicago Way"). It's a Democrat strong hold. Name for me any place in the USA that is legendary for fraud and corruption and is a Republican strong hold.

"Hey taxpayers, you know how we promised you 'transparency'? Sure, you can haz. Here's a bill for a few million."

Re:tell me again
The following is already in action. All materials associating "islam" and "terrorism" in the same breath have been purged from the US Government. The DoD, CIA and FBI cannot call jihadi terrorism for what it is. The Fort Hood shootings are thus swept under the carpet as "workplace violence" with an unknown cause - despite Major Nidal Hussein's business card describing him as "Soldier of Allah" and the fact as he was murdering he went around screaming "Allahu Akhbar". It is *you* that is living under a delusion as to what is happening and how the Obama Administration and media are suppressing what is going on (no surprise, the Admistration is thoroughly penetrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, the MB say so themselves: http://www.investigativeproject.org/3869/egyptian-magazine-muslim-brotherhood-infiltrates).
d) To undertake a strong effort to counter religious profiling, which is understood to be the invidious use of religion as a criterion in conducting questionings, searches and other law enforcement investigative procedures;
Do you understand that the intent of 16/18 restrict Free Speech of all UN member countries? what constitutes intolerance? under Sharia "slander" is anything a Muslim doesn't want you to hear - no matter how truthful it is. Therefore any member of the 57 nation OIC can claim intolerance for speaking the (awful) truth about Islam. That is why the US opposed the draft resolutions - it was only incompetent Hiliary Clinton who let this through (no wonder, her chief assistant is the Muslim Brotherhood affiliated Huma Abedin: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/08/12/Huma-Abedin-s-Ties-to-Muslim-Brotherhood-May-Be-Even-Deeper-Than-Rep-Bachmann-Suspected et al.)
Let's also not forget the fact that at its heart 16/18 is against the US First Amendment.
You are delusional.
False. You are in denial. You have zero facts and don't understand the subtleties and intent of documents unless they are written at a childish level for you. Be coddled in your delusion - hopefully the Islamicists won't place a pressure cooker IED next to where you are standing while you defend their immoral and barbaric actions - you idiot.

The Democrats are part of the disease that needs to be pushed back against, and the ACLU is doing that as much as it can. That is not however evidence that Democrats are pushing back against their own policies, which were the same policies (or even worse than) of GWB.

Re:now they can concentrate on ignoring mentally i
Murders are committed about twice as often by unarmed people (e.g. strangulation, kicking, punching) as they are with rifles. Murders are committed with blunt objects (hammers, clubs) about 20% more than they are with rifles. Automobile fatalities occur at a rate of three times that of firearms homicides.
Clearly gun control will solve this problem, right?
The "you're more likely to kill x with a gun" arguments always fall on their face when you take a closer look.
For example, a woman using her weapon against an abusive boyfriend is far more likely to happen than her using it against a robber, mainly because a robber is less likely to attack her than her boyfriend (the robber prefers to wait until nobody is home.) There, she used it against somebody she knew. But is there anything wrong with it? Absolutely not, that scenario goes in FAVOR of owning firearms, but the gun control lobby instead lumps it into a statistic going against owning them.
This would also apply to e.g. a relative or neighbor attempting to abduct one of your kids. Your neighbor is somebody you know. Women and kids are far more likely to be sexually assaulted by somebody they know than a complete stranger. Your house is far more likely to be burglarized by somebody you know than a complete stranger.
Have you ever wondered why that statistic you throw around doesn't say anything about justifiable homicide? It's because the gun control lobby wants people to blindly follow them. Take ALL statistics with a grain of salt because they almost never tell the entire story, they're often thrown out with the sole purpose of persuasion, and therefore are inherently biased.
Even the above statistics I threw up above are biased, because they only include rifles (but to be fair, rifles are what the politicians are trying to ban.)
-
Re:Unbelievable...
Even better, there are more people killed with hammers and clubs than with firearms:
Not quite--the statistic refers to rifles, not all firearms.

Unbelievable...
The anti-firearms hysteria needs to stop. This reminds me of when Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray, so a bunch of dead stingrays started showing up everywhere because people suddenly thought of them as being too dangerous to have around. Yeah, firearms can kill people. So can a bunch of other things.
There are three times as many automobile related fatalities each year as firearms related fatalities:
Even better, there are more people killed with hammers and clubs than with firearms:
So why the fuck are we going after people who own firearms?
First they came for the NRA,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an NRA member.(Yeah, I invoked Godwin's Law, so what.)
Also, in Afghanistan it is not unheard of for "enemy combatants" (we can't call them terrorists anymore) to carry kids while they are on the battlefield, either for the purpose of preventing themselves from being shot at, or propaganda ("Look at these baby killers! They must die in the name of allah!") That goes to show you what people are capable of. If firearms were disabled in a similar manner in domestic situations, only it happened automatically, I imagine that would come home as well.

If firearms were disabled in a similar manner in domestic situations, only it happened automatically, I imagine that would come home as well.

Watch those hammers!
"According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle."

Re:Gun owners and terrorists
...if I flash my sidearm...
You realize that brandishing a weapon is a crime in and of itself in many states? Here's an ironic twist - A DC-based reporter was investigated for allegedly 'brandishing' an illegal high capacity magazine while taping an episode of 'Meet The Press'.

Re:Unions protect jobs just fine
Do you really think old-school strong arm tactics would work in today's globally connected world, with a cell phone camera in every pocket and 24/7 shock and awe news? Not a chance
These days, a union is a vestigial lump that drags down the workers. Don't get me wrong, they were great 100 years ago, and I thank them for dialing in the 40 hour work week. Good job on that one. Now go away, you're not needed anymore.
What good have the unions done in preventing jobs from being shipped overseas?
What have the unions done to slow the encroaching robots, per TFA
Have the unions done anything to keep American jobs out of illegal hands?
Unions haven't even been able to keep pay rates increasing to match inflation. That should be an easy sell. What good are unions doing today, other than keeping the spectre of the old boogey man from breaking your legs if you misbehave? You think the rich and powerful are destroying the unions, but you're missing the fact that the rich and powerful *ARE* the unions. Union bosses are getting paid well into the 6-figures for NOT doing anything.
Here are a few links, cuz I didn't feel like littering my paragraphs with [source website] every 3rd word.
Eight of the union bosses on the taxpayer payroll at the Department of Transportation make more than $170,000
labor unions have in recent years become “increasingly dependent” on public sector unionization because private sector unions’ membership levels have plummetedOf the more than 7,700 words written by Feaver in the past couple years, he mentions kids, students or children a collective 16 times. The word training appears twice, but only once in reference to teachers honing their skills. Feaver mentioned retirement 44 times in the compiled writings.... Talk of pay earns another 40 mentions
... Health insurance also earned high mentions from the union president, grabbing 21 references. The union leader has earned well over $200,000 every year since he was promoted to Secretary Treasurer in 2003.
The president is also onboard with Trumka’s message. Obama’s union connections are well documented: White House visitor rolls show the godfather of organized labor [Trumka] making some 70 visits to Obama’s White House.
...a major contributor to Democrats during election years, spending almost $1 million on the 2010 midterm elections, 93 percent of those donations going to Democratic candidates. In 2008, over a million dollars, a full 91 percent of the $1.3 million the union donated to congressional campaigns, went to filling Capitol Hill with Democrats. -

Re:a sad field
Apparently the Romney ape beat his chest harder than the Obama ape, and that is enough for the rest of the tribe to decide that Romney is alpha and Obama the beta.
That's funny, according to this poll, Romney lost the overall chest beating contest, but was winning on issues:
Post-Debate CNN Poll: Romney Buries Obama On Economy
Like the CBS poll, Obama won the overall debate, 46-39%, but Romney beat him senseless on all the important individual issues like the economy, health care, deficit, and taxes. . .
- Economy: Romney wins 58-40%
- Health care: Romney wins 49-46%
- Taxes: Romney wins 51-44%.
- Deficit: Romney wins 49-36%.
- Strong leader: Romney wins 49-46%.Apparently ideas matter in some respect.

Re:Not charged
OK, not sure what an obscure ruling from a court in India, of all places, has to do with anything, but let me restate my point: Fuck the 1%. Fuck the sons of wealthy rich politician pricks, beat the shit out of them. Fuck the 1%. The rule of law in itself is inherently racist and exists only to serve the 1%.

Re:Don't watch it
I sense you are being sarcastic. Fox gets stories horribly wrong all the time, and never has any consequences... so yeah, there really are none for them.
The mitigating factor was that there were simultaneous riots in Egypt that WERE a result of the film, and had nothing to do with 9/11.
Fox claimed that was terrorism as well, and they were wrong on that.. and what were the consequences?
Want to know how far out on a limb Fox was? Check out this article on Breitbart.com. Breitbart is widely considered to be one of the most conservative sites on the internet.
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/09/11/American-Killed-on-911-In-Libyan-Consulate-Attack
They say:
"It is so far the only death from mob attacks in Libya and Egypt over Islamist anger at an alleged film in production by Coptic Christians focusing on Islam"
So even Breitbart was calling Libya reaction to the film.... so please, don't act like this was a known fact.

About the liberals ...
... ain't we have seen enough of complains from them liberals ?
I mean, while the rest of the human race are busying building human civilization them liberals are getting free pass on everything, plus they complain when they are not getting the priority treatment
We pay taxes, and we work hard to bring bacon and bread to our family
Them liberals? Many of them liberals don't pay no taxes and still they complain about the "1%" or so they claim
We do not expect anybody else to help us but ourselves. We toil every single day to see to that our families get feed and sheltered. We may not be wealthy but we do not depend on social welfare. We believe in human dignity to life, to liberty, to freedom of speech, to freedom of expression
...And them?
They do not believe in human dignity to life. They support abortion even to the 3rd trimester - the "Partial Birth Abortion"
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/23/President-Infanticide-Dem-Plank-Partial-Birth
That internet movie that had been called "anti-Islamic" has shown us one thing - them liberals do not believe in the freedom of expression.
However bad or hideous that movie might be, freedom of expression states that we can not force anyone to shut up just because we do not like what he or she says.
But apparently them Liberals don't understand the basic tenet of freedom of speech / freedom of expression.
Their only "contribution" to this world is their excessive complaints.
They complain of everything, and I mean, every-single-thing !!

Re:Wait a minute...I glanced through the article in question and I must admit to being a bit puzzled. For an article about the "truth", it seems to have missed a few facts.
One of those facts is that two thousand firearms were smuggled into Mexico as a result of the program. Read through the article, you will see no mention of the number of firearms smuggled under the program. Another is that as of June 2010, a large number of those weapons had already turned up at crime scenes. Yet the program continued for another six months.Last June, about nine months into the ATF operation known as "Fast and Furious," suspects had "purchased 1,608 firearms for over $1 million in cash transactions at various Phoenix-area gun shops," according to internal documents obtained by CBS News. The documents indicate ATF already knew that 179 of those very weapons had turned up at crime scenes in Mexico, and 130 in the U.S.
Another fact they missed is that the firearms had neither a means for being tracked (a previous program had RFID chips planted in the firearms). And they never informed the Mexican authorities. So the claim
Quite simply, there's a fundamental misconception at the heart of the Fast and Furious scandal. Nobody disputes that suspected straw purchasers under surveillance by the ATF repeatedly bought guns that eventually fell into criminal hands. Issa and others charge that the ATF intentionally allowed guns to walk as an operational tactic. But five law-enforcement agents directly involved in Fast and Furious tell Fortune that the ATF had no such tactic. They insist they never purposefully allowed guns to be illegally trafficked. Just the opposite: They say they seized weapons whenever they could but were hamstrung by prosecutors and weak laws, which stymied them at every turn.
sounds like bullshit to me. The evidence that came out in June 2010 pretty much indicates that these weapons were directly arming criminals in Mexico and the US. A fifth of their "walked guns" quickly showed up at crime scenes.
And it looks like I'm not alone.Surveillance video in the interview shows straw purchasers leaving gun shops with boxes of weapons. Documents showed these guns were showing up at crime scenes in Mexico and ATF supervisors actually keeping track of this information. Agent Dodson and other senior agents confronted their supervisors over and over about this horrible operation.
Their answer? "If you're going to make an omlette, you've got to break some eggs."
Ms. Eban tries to downplay an email, now known as the "schism" email, sent by Mr. Voth to the team. While many say the email was about gunwalking Ms. Eban insists it was about everything but that. I'd like Mr. Voth to explain these parts (emphasis mine):
"Whether you care or not people of rank and authority at HQ are paying close attention to this case and they also believe we [Phoenix Group VII] are doing what they envisioned the Southwest Border Groups doing."
"We need to resolve our issues at this meeting. I will be damned if this case is going to suffer due to petty arguing, rumors, or other adolescent behavior."
"I don't know what all the issues are but we are all adults, we are all professionals, and we have a (sp) exciting opportunity to use the biggest tool in our law enforcement tool box. If you don't think this is fun you're in the wrong line of work -- period!"
Mr. Voth also needs to explain why they let go of their top suspect when they had him in custody. This is the man who purchased the guns found at Agent Terry's death scene. The guns that have been recovered have been ones found at crime scenes. 1,400 guns are still missing. Mr. Voth and the ATF never made an effort to interdict the weapons. None. The t -
Re:Hey!
It's worth recalling here that Obama used to be a birther himself and claimed he was born in Kenya for the purpose of selling some of his books (at least one of which he backed out of).
Wrong. Obama didn't claim he was born in Kenya. The brochure you and Breitbart are talking about was created by Obama's literary agent with bios of several of its clients. The "born in Kenya" part was a fact-checking error by Miriam Goderich, then an assistant at the agency. Goderich herself admits to the error.

Re:Hey!It's worth recalling here that Obama used to be a birther himself and claimed he was born in Kenya for the purpose of selling some of his books (at least one of which he backed out of).
So not only did we have the possibility of Obama being born in Kenya, but he made that claim himself at times. So why again, was it a bad idea to demand his birth certificate?
The thing I find remarkable about Obama is how, even by the already lofty standards of politicians, pathological and self-centered he appears throughout his adult life.Bush didn't have a senate whose Democratic members filibustered more (by a huge factor) than any other senate in history.
Fortunately, Obama and the leadership of congress were incompetent enough that not much crap got passed. It's just not that hard to override a filibuster when all you need is one or two votes (which was most of the situation theoretically during that period). But they needed a lot more than one vote as it turned out, since they couldn't get their own party on board for many of these attempts without huge concessions.
I find it interesting how many people on Slashdot continue to blame Republicans and a successful and warranted use of the Senate filibuster for what really was a Democrat problem. -
Re:this is new how?
They were not doing much about it before this. I live in Prince William Country in Northern VA. My county passed laws similar to what AZ did even before AZ, in fact AZ used some of our laws as a guide. A while ago, an illegal immigrant ran through a red light and killed a nun. He was charged with a DUI. The county had already turned over this illegal immigrant to ICE to be deported a year earlier because of a another DUI and he had been arrested several other times. ICE apparently did nothing and released him and he came right back. My county filed a FOIA request to find out what happened and why he was not deported. Finally months after the legal response time for a FOIA expired, the US Justice department finally responded to the county that they could not release any information about the case or the illegal immigrant "due to national security".

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2011/03/16/DHS-Releases-Report-on-Illegal-Alien-Charged-With-Killing-Virginia-Nun-in-August-2010-Drunk-Driving-IncidentNot only did this person NOT get punished for the first DUI like an American citizen would, he returned and did it again. He had no license, no insurance, and obviously no responsibility to the society or community he was living in. Say want you want about being racist.. People that are here illegally have incentive to be careless. If they fk up, worst thing that happens is they have to go back to their home country (either forcefully or "hide" there voluntarily and start over. An American citizen does not have that option, he/she must pay for their crimes and be responsible for their actions. DUI, bankruptcies, taxes etc.. Illegal immigrants know the papers system backwards, frontwards, and sideways. They can get paperwork for anything and know how to game the system. Cousins and friends coming in as relatives or sons and daughters, passing around the same paperwork among many people, the list goes on. It will be interesting to see how many of them will be able to prove they came to the US as a child, graduated HS, and do not have a criminal record to meet Obamas new amnesty plan. My guess is just about every single one of them that can "pass" as those ages will be able to prove they meet those guidelines.
