Re:Correcting myself
That doesn't seem to hold up in court, though.
https://scholar.google.com/sch...
In that case, a woman completed a four year post-doctorate fellowship in psychology at Yale, had her Ph.D. for education published in a psychology journal, taught psychology at college, studied under psychologists, and was a member of the American Psychological Association for years. She did not, however, have a license to practice psychology in Texas. She would sometimes give psychological advice and, when she ran for a political position, she said she was an attorney and psychologist on her website. The Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists demanded she stop saying she was a psychologist because she wasn't licensed to be one in Texas.
The court basically said it was an infringement of her first amendment rights. She wasn't giving advice to a client. Her background suggests calling herself a psychologist is not misleading. In fact, the court said that commercial speech is speech that "proposes" a commercial transaction, not speech for profit. So even receiving compensation for speech isn't necessarily commercial in nature and can be protected.
So, at the end of it, he probably has a case that his speech is protected. There seems to be precedent.

Mayer's failure actually WASN'T a failure...
The implication of this article is that Mayer made out like a bandit while doing a bad job. But the numbers say that she didn't do a bad job. That surprised me, because my perception was the opposite, but the last time this came up, I did the numbers here.
Under Mayer's tenure, Yahoo! generated a 21% annual growth rate in market value, beating Apple, Microsoft, IBM and Oracle, as well as the NASDAQ, S&P 500 and Dow Jones. I should point out that those companies also pay dividends, but they're all in the 1-2% range, so the dividend payouts don't change the results.
Now, you can argue that some other CEO would have done better, or that the main reason for Yahoo!'s success under her tenure was the decision to invest in Alibaba, made by her predecessor, but speculation about what someone else might have done is unproductive, and she decided to stay with that investment. The bottom line is that CEOs are supposed to generate value for shareholders, and market-beating value was generated, from a company that was clearly moribund before she was hired.
You can also argue about whether any CEO is worth the millions they get, but if you judge against other CEOs she earned her money. -

Competition isn't any better
1. Your location is transmitted to Google, together with surrounding wifi settings. They do this with a popup that appears whenever you turn on GPS, it asks you if you want to improve location accuracy, in actuality it's tracking the surrounding wifi spots and matching them against the GPS location your phone records. The dialog is written so you think you need to say yes to get GPS to work, but you can say no and GPS still works.
You can thank Apple and the government for that. Apple did (does?) exactly this to develop their initial WiFi map data. They rolled out an update which collected location and nearby WiFi SSID data from people's iPhones and uploaded it to Apple, and buried the fact that they were doing it in the iTunes installation process. Once they got this data by using every iPhone owner as an unpaid hotspot locator, they dumped the Skyhook WiFi map they had been licensing.
Google developed their WiFi map by adding WiFi SSID sniffers to the cars they were driving around the world to take Street View pictures for Google Maps. Someone at the EU claimed they were recording more than just SSID. Google said that was ridiculous, self-audited their collection software, found a developer's setting hadn't been turned off and that they had beent collecting more than just SSID, and self-reported themselves to the EU. The EU and US governments promptly sued and fined them for it. Apple OTOH got off scott free. So Google stopped collecting the WiFi SSID location data collection themselves, and just copied what Apple was doing - lifting the data straight from people's phones.2. Google Play Store, if you try to disable or remove this, it will remove every app you installed from the playstore at the same time. Google play store provides Google with your credit card linkage, and real id, to the location and search surveillance it does.
So maybe they should be like Apple and make it impossible to remove the Play Store?
At least they give you the option to not use the Google Play Store if you don't want to use it. You can use an alternate store like Amazon. Or if you're really paranoid you can just sideload everything directly from your PC. Good luck doing that with the competitors.3. You cannot remove the required google account and keep the apps you installed.
Well duh. Without the Google account, the apps have no way of knowing if they were installed after being legitimately purchased, or if they were pirated. The Achilles heel of online software distribution is confirmation of licensing. Either Google does it, with the side-effect that removing the Google account disables the apps. Or every app developer out there including the one-person shops has to run, operate, and maintain their own licensing server 24/7/365.
4. Android now INSISTS on a telephone number for Android device registrations.
? My Android tablet didn't. You sure this isn't something the cellular carriers have added to Android phones?
6. Did you agree to backup the phone? That pester message that pops up regularly that you can't tell "no never' to? You just gave Google the password to every wifi network and business server you ever used. Compromising a lot of data.
Everyone does this. Google is the only one who lets you see what they've collected on you, and gives you the option to delete it if you wish.

Classic
I would give Tracey Kidder's Soul of a New Machine a heavy recommendation. Released in 1981, it recounts events at Data General in 1979-1980, where a small team of engineers rapidly developed a 32-bit minicomputer. The team was up against nearly impossible deadlines and breaking new ground to create a machine that paved new ground while maintaining backwards compatibility with 16-bit predecessors. Some of it is just narrative, but mostly it is a study of the players: their motivations, their backgrounds, and how they all operated as a team. If you enjoy the TV show Halt and Catch Fire, this book will be right up your alley.

Dude... stop advertising your lack of experience.
And stop advertising your disregard for facts.
90% or more of active FOSS projects were founded before github ever existed - mostly decades before.
Oh look, another unsubstantiated claim from you. New projects are being created all the time. And even many old projects have moved to GitHub.
Github represents such a tiny sample size its ridiculous to extrapolate from it.
I didn't find the number of projects for either study, so this is another unsubstantiated claim on your part. However, I can substantiate a simple Google metric:
Search results for "github" "software": About 50,200,000 results
Search results for "black duck" "software": About 286,000 results
All the latesr sexy projects are there - but thats useless for this question.
Maybe you should stop living in the past and assuming nothing has changed significantly since then.
And we who have experience in FOSS have known black duck for decades
And more importantly, maybe you should look at the results from your own Black Duck link. Even that one agrees that, collectively, permissive licenses are winning out over GPL, and that's the trend.
But hey, maybe you think IE is still the number one browser, smart phones are a luxury that can be ignored as a niche product, and gosh darn it, Black Duck and GPL rule the roost of the open source world, because, decades!

Re: Release it with source code unde GPL
The very first link if you google it,
The first link I found when I googled it was the one I posted. It also contradicts your study.
is to the most comprehensive study that exists
By what metric? And I've never heard of "Black Duck", but everybody knows about GitHub.
and the most up to date data
The GitHub study was from March 2015, the Black Duck study from November 2014.
And it clearly shows that the GPL2 is still by far the most popular license with GPL3 in second place
But not in the GitHub study, and more importantly, there's a point of agreement that you brazenly try to spin in your favor:
combined they cover a full 37% of all projects by themselves -the remaining 63% divided among ALL OTHER licenses - including the other GNU copyleft licences like the AGPL
Yeah, that's your spin. The real story is that, collectively, the permissive licenses (BSD, Apache, and MIT) outnumber the GPL variants, and that's been the trend. From your own link:
"If we group both versions (2 and 3) of the GPL together, the GPL is in use within 37% of the Black Duck surveyed projects. The three primary permissive license choices (Apache/BSD/MIT), on the other hand, collectively are employed by 42%."

Rather than using electricity or natural gas to heat indoor air, pass it over the clothes, then dump it to the outside in a once-through cycle, a heat-pump dryer uses (as you can guess) a heat pump. The hot side of the heat pump creates warm air that passes over the clothes gathering moisture. The cold side condenses the moisture back out, before passing this de-humidifed air back to the hot side.
Advantages:- * Uses 1/2 the electricity of an ordinary dryer
- * It has no vent to the outdoors, so the whole home envelope can be that much tighter. (It does have a water drain for the condensate.)
- * The mechanism relies on warm, de-humidified air, rather than heavily heated air, so it is more gentle on clothes
- * They've been available as consumer products for a number of years now - it's not brand new technology
Yes, they are more expensive. That is to be expected, considering how dirt-simple the mechanisms of a traditional dryer are. However, depending on your local electricity rates and how much laundry you do, the breakeven should be well within the lifetime of the appliance. Maybe that's not enough to junk a perfectly good existing dryer, but should definitely be considered when purchasing a replacement.

Hosts add speed (via hardcodes/adblocks), security (vs. bad sites/malware/poisoned dns), reliability (vs. dns down), & anonymity (vs. dns requestlogs/trackers).
Less power/cpu/ram + IO use vs. DNS/routers/addons/antivirus + less security bugs/complexity & faster vs. addons/routers/remote dns!
Avoids DNSChangers in routers/IP settings & dns redirects (99.999% of ISP DNS != patched vs. it) + lightens DNS load & resolves faster from local system RAM!

One similar example is to google:
https://www.google.com/?q=my+ip+address+locationI'm pretty sure I'm not located in CA.
Google only shows the world from a google perspective.

Re:I don't need another search engines on my Andro
What I need is a search engine capable to search and find where I left my Android smartphone. I left it somewhere in my home a week ago, and it is still missing...
After a week I don't have anything to suggest. If you were looking for it earlier, before the battery died, then Android Device Manager might be able to help you. It can show a map with the location of your phone, which might help to localize which part of the house it's in, and it can remotely trigger your device to ring at full volume for five minutes, which usually makes it pretty easy to find.
I once used this to help my brother find his phone, when it had fallen out of his pocket and onto a mountain road, somewhere, in miles of driving. It just happened to be in an area with coverage (which are few and far between). He used my dad's phone to call me and gave me his Google password so I could log into Android Device Manager as him and locate it.
