A Coral mirror of the site that first published these. Couldn't get the article link to load on coral anymore, but this is where they got it.

Re:On P2P linking...
The amusing thing is that the cached site is down but the original site is still up
:) -
Re:Its it just not working for me or...Here's the link using Coral.
The editors should really start using Coral when linking. This applies especially to small personal sites, but also to the larger ones which probably don't much appreciate the spike in their bill.
The one bad thing about Coral is that it would tend to mislead Google--but certainly Google is smart enough to know how to interpret Coralised URLs.

Oh, yes indeed, it does!

Re:On P2P linking...
Screw it, it's all messed up.
I made a page which has the link on it:
Coral-linked, of course.
;) -
I like it :)
Apart from "very nice" I can't think of much to say, so I'll just make a convenient nyud link - The guy's used up his month's traffic in one weekend, so he'd probably appreciate some mirroring
:) -
Coral P2P distributed Mirror
Here's the Coral P2P Webcache of the Main page and a example recipe
Note: Cache includes images (vs google link posted above).
PS: somebody wrote a javascript bookmarklet that'll take you to the coral cache of the page you are on. There's also a offical Coralize plugin for Mozilla -

Re:(Partial) mirrorGood call. I believe that you are right.
When you check out this photo you can see a kite in the sky, with something dangeling underneath it.
It looks like they are also taking the photos of the sky at roughly the same time so that the colour/images line up somewhat.
Regardless they have done some very stunning work.

Re:Coral P2P Cache
Actually, we'd welcome the opportunity to help Slashdot and other portals out in such a capacity. That's what Coral was designed for. So, it would go over well...
Coral is certainly designed as a scalable system to handle high traffic loads, and we've managed to weather recent slashdotting fairly well. Coral is currently running on 80-100 well-distributed servers. Expect around 300 servers within the next couple months. For deployment pictures, see here.
In the next couple weeks and months, we should be rolling out some technological changes to improve response time and cache utilization. An active client and server-operator community for the project is certainly welcome. -
(Partial) mirrorHere are 4 of the kite panoramas I managed to see before the site died. The names are different from the site's because I just took them from my cache.

Slashdotted already
Now wouldn't it be great if everyone used a Coraled URL to access the site? It's no help right now since the site is already down, but if it does come up, this would help preserve its bandwidth.

I see a use for... http://www.thehaefners.com.nyud.net:8090/gallery/

This has been written about!
The article is awful! Professor David Grohl writes a thesis on the very nature of supply, demand and the growth of an Asian country being limited by over-reliance on American corporation, and comes to the conclusion that it is negligable due to the "consume and replace" theory which dictates that as consumers develop and grow through American corporation, they are able to eventually move on to home grown resources through investment and support.
You can read more about it here

Why not link to it using the Coral caching system?
Use this link instead: Mozilla.org.nyud.net:8090 -

So much for the cache...I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try out the Coral P2P cache system that was mentioned here the other day...
Doesn't seems to work on the Slashdotted TheTechZone site, unforunately.
:/Here, try for yourselves:
