Re:Maybe Slashdot ran out of hot grits...
The problem is that you are implying I said or believed a lot of things I never did believe. I can only speak for myself, but I don't know a single person who ever read the Macedonian clickbait sites. They make money by being clicked on, not by being believed. Take this very Slashdot story for an example. I certainly clicked on it, but I find it a lot more likely that it's an Airbus 330 on a normal flight path than a UFO. So the only thing that might be proven is that they got a lot of clicks. And they did a shoddy job even of presenting that. Where are the Google trends showing the sites gaining in interest over the election? The Alexa rankings? You know, all the normal things that anyone who knows anything about SEO would even look at? Worse, all the news stories just cite other news stories saying things and add nothing new. Seems to me like they're worried about the Macedonians muscling in on their territory. Just cite this one story that uses the other dozen stories as evidence! Primary sources? Who the hell needs those when I can just link to someone who agrees with me?
Regarding PizzaGate, I mostly wrote about Podesta, not Alefantis and the worst I accused any of them was of having iffy taste in art. Every statement I made was an opinion based on fully disclosed facts.
See, I believe in primary sources, not this second hand media laundry crap. And there are poorly explained things in the Podesta emails--who here thinks that it's normal for handkercheifs to have pizza-related maps? Or to ask whether you'd play dominoes better on pizza or pasta? That kind of stuff made people think they were talking in code words, so they went to Urban Dictionary and similar sites and a number of the oddly used words lined up with pedo slang. That doesn't make anyone a pedo, mind you, but that's how that got started. Oh, it's also true that it was later found that Podesta did not attend that one particular spirit cooking event when another email about it was discovered. But that's Podesta. I haven't written much of anything about Alefantis at all, other than to say that the jimmycommet instagram (NSFW) had some strange pictures on it before it got removed.
However, I have never said anyone there was a pedophile, I disclosed and linked the relevant emails and other facts that formed my opinions, and I never encouraged or supported any kind of violence. And I do condemn every idiot with a gun. Whether it's the idiot who searches a pizza place with a gun, or the idiot who murders a Russian diplomat.
So in sum, I believe evidence, not "news" sources. Especially given what passes for an investigation these days. I can and will point you to the specific facts I used to form my opinions. If you want to change that, present new facts.
Look at primary sources, not media BS. Then see how many I have and how many you have. No, I do not believe things because some knob with a journalism degree spent 10 minutes summarizing something and found another journalist who agrees with him to link to.
So give me your facts, not your opinions, if you want me to believe you. You gave me articles that link to other articles that contain a scant few facts other than the names of a few clickbait sites and no method of corroborating any of them. I gave you the damn flight number and all the information about where this happened and a way to look up that particular flight's route.
See the difference here?

Re: All those movies suck.
Ghostbusters (2016) disproved this.
Well that's because the trump supporters, misogynists, racists, bigots, homophobes, sexists, gamergators, alt-right, nazi-kkkers were all raging against it don't ya know. Don't take my word for it, take it from the directors, actors and some more stuff and movie/review/news sites mouths--among others. That it's all their fault that it was a failure.
Or...it could be that it was just a shitty movie, and the entire marketing idea was to release shitty trailers, attack your audience, then double down. I'm sure that's a winning strategy, it worked against Trump, and for Brexit right? It sure looks like it's a winning strategy in the NL and DE elections coming up too.

Re:I don't think he understands trolling
Besta Pizza's logo was one well-known to the FBI as a pedo symbol. If it wasn't incriminating, then why did they change it when it was exposed? Here's the same symbol on the The Elpida part of the Ratcliffe Foundation's website: all the way at the bottom row, first photo, the wall mural. Archived here for when it gets deleted - and why would it ever get deleted if it's not incriminating? Clearly a pedo symbol, aka "BL" aka "Boy Lover" according to the FBI. The art in Podesta's house is super-creepy and definitely pedo. See that gold one of the man bent over backwards? That's a recreation of a photo that a serial killer took after he beheaded his victim. More importantly, powerful people are telling you not to pay any attention. What should you do when this happens?
The guy is screaming for the investigation to stop. This narrative is being forwarded by the same people who brought you the fake news about the election. Who do you trust? The gatekeepers that we know for a fact are corrupt, or a bunch of independent investigators? It's one thing if the investigation turns up nothing. But it is entirely another to shriek and demand that the investigation stop, and attack the investigators. It was the "crazies from the internet" who took down Michelle Fields and her lies. Nobody is telling you to believe a crazy conspiracy theory. Just read for yourself, make your own decisions, come to your own conclusions. Don't trust the gatekeepers, they don't deserve your trust. We're in a new era of real citizen journalism and the media is scared shitless.

I'm also guessing they won't explain why the anti-pedo sub
/r/pizzagate got moved to /v/pizzagate, but why they're happy to keep subs like /r/pedochat /r/pedofriends, etc. Just look at this image just shows a picture of Reddit's description of /r/Pedochat which is a private NSFW sub for "pedos and friends of pedos" for an example.I don't know, but considering the subject, I would guess pizzagate harassed people and pedochat did not. Which is by the way the explanation given by Reddit for closing down pizzagate. People send death threats to the pizzeria in question and pizzagate was involved or at least condoning it.
In short: Both are Subreddits by people I would not like to associate with, but only one did something ban worthy under the topic discussed here.
-
Re:Reddit is on the way out
Death threats? Can you substantiate that one? Preferably by pointing to police reports?
I don't see it mentioned here where it would've been relevant, it just says "outright threatened" and apparently some loser keyed his car, though it's not clear if that was just something random.

It's not rigged, you're just LOSING
> You really do just make shit up, don't you?
I just love these post-fact "refutations" where you don't actually bother to cite sources or anything, even though this information is stupidly easy to find online.
Let's look at the important factual claims here, shall we? There are basically two: that she raised more here than in her presidential campaign and that the vote totals were closer in other states that Hillary won and that she's challenging states that would help Hillary win. This leads people to form the opinion that it's Hillary & co. funding this because it benefits Hillary more than Jill Stein. If we just want more confidence in the final results, then all the close states should be recounted, not just those which benefit Hillary.
That said, feel free to suggest improvements to how we vote for the future. We really should prevent vote fraud of every kind. I still remember just a few months back when Tim Kaine was saying stuff like this:
That moment would not have been as big a moment last night had Donald Trump not spent the last few weeks going around saying that the election is rigged against him. And when Donald says that, he's basically, after a campaign of attacking virtually every group he can attack now, he's attacking a central pillar of our democracy — that we run fair elections, that we accept the outcome of elections and then that we have a peaceful transfer of power.
Claim 1 - Jill Stein got more money for a recount than her campaign:
Here's an image for easy comparison, but $5M > $3M. How do we know she got over $5M for this campaign?
"Green Party Candidate Jill Stein Files for Recount in Wisconsin, Raises More Than $5M for Recounts in Michigan and Pennsylvania"
http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/politics/Green-Party-Candidate-Jill-Stein-to-Seek-Recount-in-Battleground-States-402731286.htmlJill Stein, who ran for president as the Green Party candidate, has filed paperwork to request a recount of the votes in Wisconsin just under the deadline, and has raised more than $5 million to fund other recount efforts in the battleground states of Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Now, how much did her presidential campaign raise? The FEC has that info here:
http://www.fec.gov/fecviewer/CandidateCommitteeDetail.do?candidateCommitteeId=P20003984&tabIndex=1This currently gives us about $3 million dollars ('net contributions') as can be seen below:
Beginning Cash On Hand $73,681
Ending Cash On Hand $58,303
Net Contributions $3,013,441
Net Operating Expenditures $3,413,467
Debts/Loans Owed By $87,740
Debts/Loans Owed To $0Claim 2 - The challenges are in favor of Hillary
States where we need recounts: WI, MI, and PA - source was quoted above. States NOT on the recount list NV, CO, MN, or NH - I can find no reports of recount requests here. Feel free to give sources if someone is recounting any of those.
NV is closer than PA & WI. MN is closer than PA. NH was won by just 2,732 votes - far less than any state on this list. CO had a pretty small margin too, but it was slightly larger than the three recount states.
I will also leave this here, because of all the #fakenews about "hacking" the election... never mind that MI (one of the recount states!) uses only paper ballots:

-
Re:So...
but I'm baffled where all the Trump supporters came from.
There are a few different groups. Lets get the KKK, Nationalists, etc out of the way. Yes they voted for him (Like they would have voted for Clinton) but their numbers are so small they're really not worth discussing on a national scale.
In the Midwest:
In large part it's blue collar salt of the earth people in the middle. Come out and visit 'us'. (I didn't vote trump but my state and county did). If you make a joke about flyover country you'll probably get punched the 10th time you say it. Most of the people out here are the nicest people you'll meet. If you ever needed anything (Flat tire, etc) they'll be the first to stop and lend a hand. Everyone has had a job that was affected by NAFTA. (Real or perceived, most people think they were affected by NAFTA)
50% of household earning less than $35k don't have Internet. Some townships are on Dialup alone. [Despite having our tax money go to help fix that]. Our infastructure is literally falling apart around us. We don't have enough population in any single county to warrant people paying attention to us. When it comes to 'social' issues most of us are "I don't see it I don't care". When asked where a transgendered person pees it's probably in the woods like everyone else. But we really, really hate being dictated to about 'how it is' from the coasts.
Some of us tried the high road, my county went very Bernie in the primaries. Polls had both WI and MI completely wrong. We saw Bernie as the democratic way to 'make america great again' and were told, literally, "You aren't needed in November" despite filling stadiums and waiting in lines to see Sanders.
Republican votes per county have held flat 2008-2012-2016. Jill stein saw a 'huge' jump between 2012-2016. And Democratic voters more or less just stayed home.
The second group is a bit more entertaining to watch:
It's
/r/The_Donald. It's the angry, contrarian young male vote. It seems to be a melting pot of RedPill, 4Chan, and a bunch of other places that demographic hangs out, online equivalent of a bag of cats.Milo Yiannopoulos seemed to gain a lot of traction and followers out of the GamerGate. They have less in common other than they really really hate the "SJW" type and saw trump as the anti PC candidate. I'm fascinated by people watching so I've dug through some profiles. Most are just 18-25 year old males that feel something about Obama or Clinton gave them the short end of the stick.
The recruiting techniques are pretty much follow gang recruiting techniques that have been used for centuries and are used now to radicalize people for ISIS. "Did those people wrong you? It's this persons fault. Join us and we'll "fix" it".
Beyond that there's really nothing that binds them. (Other than some don't know how to create new Reddit Profiles).
For example one user is a ~20 year old 2nd generation Muslim Indian immigrant. Follows soccer and Cricket, loves cats, smokes cannabis lives in NY, drives around a BMW 435i and used to drive an Audi S5. And is all on the trump train
... because. -
Re:Don't think it'll happen
Anything posted in the immediate aftermath of the election is part of coping, so I take this sort of thing with a great heaping helping of salt. The right wing did it when Obama was elected
Yes to the coping mechanism theory, no to the idea that this is some sort of left-right symmetry. There were no riots in dumbfuckistan in 2008.
The poor will get poorer, the rich will get richer
Now I think you are just trolling. This is clearly a progressive/democrat ideal, sometimes shared with a small (and soon to be defunct) part of the Republican party, not a conservative ideal. Haven't you been paying attention to the last 8 (or 28) years?
If you and your family are starving, you'll do pretty much anything to get food,
Just stop. No one is starving here, and no one is going to start starving in the next 8 years.
If he starts taking a pickaxe to things that have been part of America for the last sixty or seventy, all bets are off.
I'm pretty sure that one particular 51 year old law is on the chopping block.

Re:not in N.C.
Your links are all innuendo and speculation. Not one links to an actual investigation showing proof that even a single citizen was unable to vote because of voter ID laws.
And just yesterday, two guys decided to announce their own personal voter fraud to the world.
How many times do you think this is repeated across the country by people who do NOT invite the full autism of
/pol/ to their public records history?Brace yourself for voter ID laws in all 50 states. It is coming, and all your whining can't stop it. Something like 80% of citizens want it, and the Supreme Court is about to take a big turn towards law and order.

Re:It was a guy with a sign ...Excerpt from a first hand account
I'm a bit shaken still, but I wanted to get this out there: the crazy guy had a REPUBLICANS AGAINST TRUMP sign. He started shoving his way towards the front of the crowd. I was 3 people back from the front row and about 6 feet from this guy. He started to jump up and down and almost acting like a mosh pit.
He was pushing and shoving people. He knocked people over, including elderly. Children were right there, too. You see trump shade his eyes twice as he watches what is happening and doesn't acknowledge it until the guy gets so violent that some men tackle him.
This is when Trump made the comment about him being paid and to get him out. Many people fell over in the process. About 6 or more men restrained him, and in the process, one of those men got up and yelled that he had a gun. It took about 5 or 6 shouts before secret service heard and reacted.
...
For those of you making light of the fact there was no gun -- hindsight is 20/20, but I[n] that insane moment things went in slow motion and dozens if not hundreds of us were in fear. -

Re:Some more nominations
There's actually a much less thoroughly linked or explained version of the story that beat mine. I wonder which one they'll post, if any? I guess I should've quoted the full story, though so it doesn't get burred.
Democrat Operatives Caused Violence at Trump Rallies, Framed Sanders Supporters
A new video has come out detailing how Democratic operatives created violence at Trump rallies. You may remember that they then framed Sanders supporters for those protests. This video is notable because one of the operatives, Zulema Rodriguez, can be identified in videos of the Arizona protests at 17:35 in this independent video as well as at 10:30 in the first video link. Furthermore, you look at the FEC records of disbursements to her and see that she was paid by MoveOn.org. Finally, this again can be corroborated with the Wikileaks dump, specifically this email. For those too lazy to browse all the links, you can see Zulema's appearance in both videos in this image and note that it's the same person down to the tiny mole on her chest.

I think wikileaks doesn't like Killary because she tried to murder Assange to stop him from revealing her dirty secrets, they also don't like that she murdered their other informants.
The unDemocrat party knows that the info Assange has is undeniably true and will hurt them when it matters the most, that's why they use their propaganda machine to preemptively accuse wikileaks of being russian propaganda, to do damage control. It's something that was totally expected.
Here's a brief overview of the misinformation machine, no wonder there is a systemic bias against Trump in the media.

Re:FBI f to the b to the i FBI FBI can I get a wha
You would be the person, I presume, to explain how the moon landings were faked and how the Earth is not quite the shape that we've all been led to believe it is?
Not them, but I can oblige. Here is clear and recent poof of NASA faking space images of Jupiter, taken from NASA's own website site. Here is evidence NASA fakes space walks -- Protip, "Space" doesn't have bubbles, but the "training" pool with full scale mockups in Houston's Johnson Space Center does. There are no whole pictures of the earth. They are all stitched together composites applied to a 3D globe model. My guess is the images are from weather balloons and aerial photos.
Here is how the imagery of earth was faked during the Appollo missions -- from a reel of Appollo footage. They turned out the lights in the low earth orbiting capsule, aimed a camera at a round window which showed PART of the earth, and placed a card along its side act as "shadow". Near the end of the film the lights are brought up and an astronaut is seen in the cabin near the window -- The "official" story is that the shot was taken with the camera against the window, but it was clearly not.
The "Hubble Telescope" is really on an airplane. There isn't enough curvature over water to claim the earth is 25,000 miles in circumference. Even Steven Hawking has been used to promote the lie of curvature that is 8iches per mile squared (~6ft over 3miles, in the experiment done at hawking's suggestion, while multiple independent experiments have shown no visible curvature at that distance).
I've actually investigated the claims. It's clear you haven't. Why not? What are you afraid to find out? Come on and let's get some debunking going on up in this bitch if you're a real rational thinking individual.

Muslims are responsible
Posting anon for obvious reasons though I will check back for replies. I went out of my way to create a chart of the least to most backward Islamic people in each country. The data was sourced from the very resectable PewForum. It turns out Afghanistan is the worst with Pakistan trailing closely behind. Countries where Muslims fare more reasonably include Kazakstan and Russia generally.
Some of the figures are really shocking such as 86% of Muslims in Pakistan favour stoning for adultery, and 88% of Egyptian Muslims believe in the death penalty for leaving Islam.

Yeah because you conveniently choose to interpret it as such.
Simple outright racism or other bigotry never gets a ban.
Sure it does... whether it is or not, as long as the user is a white/male criticizing someone who's not.

Of course when someone like Jones makes racist statements about whites, it's ignored. She was part of a movie that was deliberately designed to be sexist towards men as part of its comedic artistry (sexism is apparently ok as long as the targets are men). The movie turned out to be shit on multiple fronts, and when she played victim for the flack she got for it online, she got more of it. No shock there. If twitter wants to take sides and become the social media DailyKos that's up to them. They should just make it clear in their TOS. I would prefer they stayed neutral, but if not, at least be up front and honest about their expectations.
