Google and Facebook are crocks with socks. ISPs are Hitler.

With a title like that, you know the article is going to be good for a laugh. Sort of like people who say "physics says..." who wouldn't even recognize the formulae that apply to the problem in question if you wrote them out in front of them.
1) Passengers in the Roadster noted how high its floor is. Aka: it's a double-high pack. Tesla already makes 100kWh packs for the S and X that are single-high. They may need to extend a bit further forward and back because the Roadster is a bit smaller of a footprint (on S and X they only slightly overlap the wheelbase, and on Model 3 they're inside the wheelbase entirely), but there's nothing at all implausible about 200kWh in such a form factor.
2) The megacharger charge port has been filmed by KMan. It has 8 giant pins in what appear to be a 2x4 arrangement, with ground and control pins likely clustered in a side slot on the right. These pins are much larger than those on the supercharger port, and there's a lot more of them. Also note the 2x4 arrangement: there appear to be four separate battery packs, and there 4 separate drive units. It appears that bloody everything on this vehicle is redundant (one assumes that there's at least a charge balancing system between the packs).
3) The means to provide the power to the megachargers is very, very simple: they're battery buffered. Tesla has always been clear on this; they're not drawing that power straight from the grid. More to the point, Semi uses the same battery chemistry as Tesla's grid-battery buffers (NMC). It's an extremely durable chemistry.
4) The article is very reasonable in its assessment of the battery capacity on the 500mi semi - they say 600-1000kWh (I've been working on the assumption of 900kWh, but it could be a bit less). Their estimate on the price, however, assumes that batteries cost $100-$170/kWh retail. Yet the raw material costs for said cells is only about $50/kWh - and that's currently at "spiked" prices which can be expected to drop as the mining industry readjusts to the new demand curve (historic prices would be more like $35/kWh). The whole point of the Gigafactory was to make li-ion batteries - finally - get closer to the cost of the raw materials that go into them. These numbers simply suggest that the Gigafactory has done exactly what it was designed to do.
5) Their estimate of the weight of the battery pack is probably correct (around 5 tonnes). However, in addition to the weight savings from using electric drive units vs. a big diesel / transmission / pollution controls / etc, Tesla always builds light. Don't expect the primary structure to be made of mild steel on this one; expect UHS steel, with 4-5 times the tensile strength, for example. Guillen stated in Europe that it has the same payload capacity as a diesel semi (aka, the tractor is no heavier), and that's probably correct.
Or, to put it another way: none of the "experts" expected the Model 3 SR to come in at almost exactly the same weight as the BMW 330i, with the same performance, more standard features, and a cheaper price. It did. And the LR isn't much heavier than a 330i, and well faster (can't wait to see the specs on the performance package!)
6) Charge rates of 7 cents per kWh: First off, their estimate that charging should cost 40 cents per kWh is just absurd. Pure nonsense. Even Tesla's current generation of superchargers is half that ($0,20/kWh), and they have to pay demand charges. That said, 7 cents per kWh comes across as extremely ambitious... until you start looking into it. And then you realize how much of a game changer it is that Tesla is doing here.

If you watch Batman vs Superman and come up with conspiracy theories about people holding it down, look, I'm not saying you should change your opinion of movies, just stop thinking you can understand what other people like!
I've spent a fair amount of time trying to figure why I do or don't like something, and I think I've been able to distill it down to a simple way to describe it:
Conflict in a drama is annoying, whereas conflict in a comedy is funny.
All of the "dark and gritty" reboots and spinoffs tend to have conflict between characters that are unlikeable and lack good chemistry. The most recent egregious examples are the aforementioned Batman vs Superman, Star Trek Discovery, Marvel's Inhumans, Stargate Universe, et al. I don't want to watch what is basically an abusive work environment.
I saw BvS in the theater and didn't like it. When I watched the extended version of it, it made more sense. But, it still just wasn't good. Incidentally, the How It Should Have Ended YouTube channel has an excellent analysis of how both BvS and Justice League could have been "fixed".
Hopefully the directors and screenwriters will learn from their mistakes and make better films.

Think about it for just a minute. Everything you live in and on and eat is sprinkled with Russian isotopes. Like radioactive cesium. Like radioactive IODINE. Public image
Images of tweenies in see-through clothing have been on the internet for a while. But now they're in a place where they're easy to find and dumb people can brag that fully-grown nipples are titillating. If they want to perv on real children they can watch this, with only 30,000 views.
Adults are sexual beings but that doesn't happen because a teenager has some magic birthday and can now do 'adult' activities. It happens over a long period of time, which is precisely why children need protection. But businesses like Youtube can't always compensate for childish ignorance or stupidity. Yes, we need to discourage children from sexting but I don't see a shortage of teenagers proclaiming "look at me". Yes, we need sites like Youtube to discourage objectification of children. But most of all, we need to punish people who publicly objectify others. Notice I didn't say "children", I said "others". Modern society publicly objectifies a lot of people, so this isn't a "think of the children" issue. If we want the public image of a child to be respected, we need to start with the public image of an adult.

They were actually a bit hard for me to get into the first time I saw them. They seemed to be very.....disjointed and rambling on pointless jams and I say this as a huge Grateful Dead fan. Sometimes they just seemed silly. Their drummer often wore a dress (or a mumu?) and sometimes they'd jump up and down on small trampolines while playing their guitars and basses.
Nonetheless I came to appreciate them a bit. I was never a die-hard Phish head but they were good. Maybe they still are - I haven't seen or even heard them in years. I heard Trey Anastasio had to get sober. They often did covers like that one I linked to from Grand Funk Railroad, but they also had a lot of original stuff too.
It was actually a Dead Head who dragged me to that first Phish show. A lot of my other Dead Head friends didn't care for them at all but I recommend checking them out - I also recommend you smoke a huge joint while you do so.
Few bands can stretch a 3 minute song out for nearly half an hour to the point where you forget what song they're actually playing. Phish is one of them.

BTW, what does an American Band look like? Like Grand Funk? LIke Phish? The Allman Brothers? The Rolling Stones (just kidding, I know they're British) but how could you tell from looking at them?
They're from Vermont, which is practically Canada to those of us in the Southwest.

The difference with guns - especially the assault types obtainable in the US - is that they have no legitimate use. You would have to define killing other people as legitimate for you to be able to use that argument with guns.

Upload weird paedobait and nothing happens. Until the advertisers start pulling ads - I bet that will make Google do something. StyxHexenHammer666's channel is back up, but I bet that's only because other Youtubers like The Thinkery made videos asking why his channel had been pulled. If he was less well known, his channel would probably have disappeared.
