Like some of the Neverwinter Nights expansion packs, which had you starting at level 15-20? I think it was Shadows of the Underdark or some such that had you starting at a high level.
"Ninja Swords" are actually called Ninjat, and they're straight, relatively short cheaply made blades, considering most ninjas were mountain-dwelling tribesmen. They tended to be used to stab, rather than slash, because most Ninja combat occurred indoors at close-quarters. Katanas and Wakizashi are the traditional swords used by the Samurai Warriors.
Maybe if the people going to US universities to shoot stuff up weren't able to buy a firearm from their equivalent of an S-mart (Shop smart!), there wouldn't have been as many lives lost.
I'm 18, and a life-long gamer. My Dad played Games before me. I work, I'm not a frat-boy. I own an Xbox 360 console. I don't think Halo is revolutionary. I know it isn't. However, it's the best co-op experience I've had since Doom 2 and has only been beaten by Gears of War. I'm mainly a PC gamer, but for co-op gaming, Halo is fantastic. Or do gaming moderates like myself not count? Not everyone is a fan-boy.
God is two of three things: Omnipotent, Omniscient and Kind. If a God is Omnipotent and Omniscient, it's aware of the suffering in the world, and can take action to prevent it but does not. If a God is Omnipotent and Kind, it is not aware of some of the suffering, and thus does little or nothing. Or, a God is Omniscient and Kind, aware of the evil in the world, but powerless to stop it.
I live in the UK, and I've never used Fahrenheit for temperatures. It's always in Celsius. Although in the UK, there is a mix between Imperial and Metric. Height is generally measured in Feet and Inches and weight in Stone, but for small measurements people tend to use Centimeters, and liquid is generally counted in liters as well.
Bwahaha. Funniest comment I've read in a while. But seriously. If you can mistake "WASD" for moving about, and Control for Crouching.. you have some weird connections there.
I thought EVERYONE runs through a list of anti-zombie precautions. Hell, I've got all my escape routes, checkpoints and a ZRP (My made-up term for Zombie Readiness Pack). Ever since I read Max Brooks "Zombie survival guide".
The Zombie Apocalypse is coming friends, be warned and be ready.
One mans trash, another mans treasure etc.
Some people found it fun. Get down from your high horse. I personally didn't like it, but that doesn't mean other people didn't.
It would totally cancel the Uwe effect out. What we'd see from the Uwe Boll version of Big Rigs is a cinematic heaven, with deeply detailed plot and ambitious action scenes, coated in the drama and moody settings that haven't been properly explored in film for a long time. Definitely a top 250 movie on IMDB.
Best website in my opinion for Game and Movie reviews has to be Metacritic
It takes reviews from loads of sites, offers links to the reviews, and gives you a standard score out of 100 for the game. It also has user comments, which can be useful.
Is it just me, or does it seem hypocritical that Arnold Schwarzenegger opposes this? He's been in some incredibly violent movies, after all.
Why do people see the two mediums as being so distant? What passes as an R for a movie, would be an AO for a game, like Manhunt.
I believe that people of earlier generations do not understand games - they see an interactive medium and believe that the interactivity somehow makes it more personal, or influencial. Yet I think any well adjusted person who plays video games know they're just that - games.
It seems to me that with 70 talent points available a lot of the uniqueness of character builds goes away. You're joking, right?
That's the one thing I hated the most, out of WoW. You have set classes, with set tree routes. You have to specialize in a certain way for each tree otherwise your character will be gimped.
I miss AC's skill based system, which had untrained, trained and specialized skills. Then you had stat points which determined the skills. For example, magic was based on Willpower + Focus / 2 or something like that. You could spend XP on your stats, or you could level up the skills specifically.
Also, about the grind, I find AC2 [Which is now Dead] had the best quest system. It was a pity the character development was more like WoW then the original AC.
I honestly think this has gone on long enough, with it being pushed back so far. I think the best think Spore can do is release a Beta of the *First* level, the Bacteria level. That'll whet the appetites of most people there, show it's not dead in the water.
It'll also show off the nice customization features, like being able to modify your bacteria and such.

And the inter-weaved Vorbisblades [I think thats what they were called] out of Knights of the Old Republic, that allow you to parry lightsabers.

I presume Operating temperature means the temperature range the camera can operate in.

I once had SecuRom AND StarForce, which opened up a portal to Oblivion, and Cthulhu came out.
I think he works in EA, now.

D&D 4.0 had a development codename, it was D&D: Vista
Knight takes Queen! Checkmate!
Too far, friend. When you've taken the Yorkshire man sketch to subatomic level, you've stooped to a new level of comedic desperation.

Could be wrong, but I always thought Kilo = 1000, but it's 1000 in Base 2, making it 1024.
It's the computer industry, information is measured in *Bytes, which is worked out in Base 2.

Mod parent up, for going through the trouble of creating a brand new account just for one post..
Thanks for this informative post, it will be my new chat-up line in future.

I'm not interested unless it can be used to blow stuff up. I demand my science volatile.

PS, AC = Asherons Call.

Can we wait for it to come out before we post judgments on it? Sure there's a lot of hype, but maybe it'll be *Really* good.
