And I wasn't aware that the US let their movies get shown in Canada for free either. The US hates being told what to do, and they ignore it every chance they get, for example, look at the US / Canada softwood lumber dispute. Each time, one of the governing bodies over the NAFTA agreement says the US has overstepped it's bounds on the tariffs being charged, they simply ignore the ruling and find a different body to say that the tariffs are perfectly fine. Yet, at the same time, they want to dictate how every other country around them runs things. Did the US consult with Mexico or Canada when they decided to change how daylight savings time works? Nope, not at all, they just said screw it and just did it. I'm not saying that the change is a bad thing, but the US is like the big kid on the block, do it my way or fcuk you. This DMCA crap is no different, and given the current quality of American movie productions, I'm perfectly fine if they decide to not show them in Canada, most of them suck anyway, especially given the cost of a ticket these days. Put out a sucky movie, charge a lower price for it, then maybe people will start going back to the theatres, but $10 per adult ticket + $10 for popcorn and a drink = WAY TO EXPENSIVE, especially when someone can wait 3 months, rent it for $5 and buy a 2L of Coke for about a $1.50
the 10kg needed for critical mass might be too much for a pigeon, but I'm fairly sure that there are bigger birds out there that wouldn't have a problem with it. I'm also fairly sure that most birds have a very similar brain structure so adapting the technology to effect something such as a Steller's Sea Eagle probably wouldn't be an enormous challenge. Now, please give me my tinfoil hat, the radio waves hurt.
Please, in the future, get your facts straight. We want nothing to do with the scientologists and would love to crate them all up and ship them back to hippie land, aka California.
The question is, did it not generate enough interest because people didn't 'get it' or was it because Fox in their infinite wisdom kept bouncing it around the schedule so nobody knew when it was on and showed the episodes out of order?
How does passively resisting arrest warrant being tasered multiple times? Logging protestors passively resist arrest all the time in BC, I don't recall any of them getting tasered for it. The police come in, put the cuffs on and drag/carry them to the wagon, no violence, just a little bit of physical exertion by the RCMP.
Uhm, yopu may want to rethink that statement, there is a huge barrier to pc development, it's called, NO TWO SYSTEMS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. Hundreds of different models of video cards alone mean you have to do some serious juggling in the code. consoles on the other hand are, in terms of internal hardware, 100% identical. Every PS3 has the same video, same ram, same processor. This makes development for them, much simpler. As far as the sony/ms/etc tax goes, well, that can just be passed right on to the consumer, we know they'll pay out the ass for something shiny.
> Well, you're forcing me to use Windows. You're forcing me to get all new hardware, > not just the new drive mind you, but the whole shebang. New monitor, new video card, > new OS in addition to the new drive. That is lunacy, pure and simple.
Personally, my main concern would be the $1000 (approx) that you need to put out for the damn drive, before you even take the other upgrades into consideration.
Heh, fixing your typos, I have similar, an A64 3200+, 1GB of Ram, and a base 6800, and it seems to work ok for me, granted I've only been playing in it for about a day and haven't tried to seriously stress it yet. I have had one app crash rather consistently, but what I have run has run fine and smoothly except that one instance. I haven't used it enough to say whether or not it's good, my main goal is to test my companies software package to make sure any potential issues are known in advance and well, so far, so good in that regard.

Heh, I'm even luckier, I live between 4 Fry's Dallas, Plano, Arlington and Irving. To bad I'm moving back to Canada in a few weeks :(

uhmm, two words
Shadow + Run
Because the US was originally populated by the Puritans, a group of people so anal that even the British couldn't stand them.
>America: Finds it difficult to apologize, especially to China.
;)
>Canada: Apologizes as a form of introduction.
Yep, we're always going around saying sorry for the crap the Americans have pulled
Vancouver no, but Kelowna sure is ;)
> 48. Allotment plots come in the standard measure of 10 poles
Good, I much prefer my land measured in poles than russians
*queue loss of karma*
ba dump bump!
yes, but the guy next to you also has hairy nipples, I'm certain Halle Barry waxes ;)

I think someone beat them to it with 'Slither'
I'm sorry, but I'd like to be able to actually use my machine while it imports the clients crap data and converts it into a better format.
What we need is some lowbrow reality show, we could call it, "Hack the Vote!"
I'm ok with a T4 movie, so long as takes place during the war and ends with Arnie going back in time to the first movie.

Sure, and have an update process just like WoW ;)
I don't mind the insertion of facts, but using Foxnews as the basis is just low.

Funny, Guild Wars is Windows only and doesn't seem to have any problems because of it.
I'll let you know when I get my Phantom Gaming Console, or whatever they decide to make the new service.
Along with gamefaqs, there's also wikis, such as gamewikis.org which covers guildwars, oblivion and neverwinter nights 2 (currently)
But it doesn't stop at hate
Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to anger. Anger leads to the Dark Side
