Jobs isn't really that old, couldn't he potentially work at the company another 20 years? It's almost like articles like this are put in place to try to convince him to leave the company.
I've always wanted cable companies to allow users to pick and choose what channels they want. Like most people I could do without 70 of the 90 channels I get.
Oh I also forgot, if you have a static URL that your form posts to, it is a good idea to rename that page every now and then, especially if it is getting a tremendous amount of spam. Also you can do a check to see if the referring URL is on your own domain as a lot of spammers are posting from a copied version of your form.
I almost never text anybody from my phone. I'm on my computer so much that I just pull up my email and email a friends cellphone as a text message. It costs me nothing.
I never found anything wrong with Windows ME other than it didn't offer anything different that 98 didn't already have. In all reality Windows ME was nothing more than 98 SP4. I think it got a bad rap to be honest. Windows XP was a great leap forward from 98 & ME though. We should give MS some credit here that they realized Vista wasn't going to be successful, and quickly moved on to the next project.
I'm pretty sure you can get an internet package through Charter without having to get tv with it. You will still get hit with extra fees like you would with any company.
That's a pretty specific scenario. I've never seen anybody use position top, bottom, left right all at the same on a live website. You gotta admit that even with that problem, the rendering engine is years ahead of the IE trident engine.
Now if we can just build some sort of contraption from the movie Total Recall and give Mars an atmosphere. (I realize the movie is fiction and it probably doesn't work that way in real life)
...Most likely because it's back-end appears to be running on a MS Access database.
Perhaps I'm the 'minority' on slashdot but I think Google would be better off sticking to search engines and the web than getting into politics.
One thing I haven't seen anywhere is who will be taking over Steve's responsibility for the next 5-6 months that he is out.
Perhaps John Sculley will be getting a call...not!
Lol I checked that band out, pretty funny stuff, you might have just made a sale today by posting their lyrics on here...I'm such a nerd.
I find this story confusing as it contradicts another study that the best time to post a new blog post is Thursday - http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/new_study_shows_best_and_worst.php
While the worst time is on the weekends.

Doesn't look like it supports Classic ASP. That's sort of a show stopper for me.

I have a series of 4 tests to block spam on my website. So far it has stopped over 30,000 attempts in the last year.
Test one is, does the last name = the first name. For some reason almost all spammers do this.
Second, do they use a keyword from a list of about 15 words.
Third, do they fill out a hidden inputbox? This is sort of the reverse captcha.
Finally do they use more than 4 "http" in a post. Almost all comment spam is an SEO effort to increase their pagerank.

while we're on the topic, I can't stand the new user pages. The font size is set to something near 9px.

After all he is the the weird pro-child pornography worker at Wikipedia - http://valleywag.com/387735/wikipedia-leader-erik-mller-children-are-pornography

i agree, the media does appear to be setting up a self fulfilling prophecy here (more or less this summer before the markets crashed)
at least it's the same DRM rather than another one I have to deal wi th.
Reminds me of the movie The Abyss. Cool!

I'm not sure if they currently have this mission planned but why not go to Europa? It seems to be one of the best possible places for life.
thats since been deprecated.
eom
The 5 people on Slashdot who actually bothered to buy SPORE and play it will get this joke. The rest of you wont.
You're right, until OEMs get paid by browser companies to place their icon on the desktop.
