  1. not new on How Video Games Reflect Ideology · · Score: 1

are current games using network technology to push new value ?

or do they use network technology to push old value ?

    when internet was non existent,
games were obviously oriented to the gamer,
not to relations with other players.

still look at first network games
in 93 I played Doom and we played more coop than PVP.
And i played it not over Internet but in LAN.

therefore games are more coop nowadays
because coop is much easier with Internet.

By the way Cryptic developped and delivered City of Heroes to NCSoft a few years ago, then sold it to NCSoft.
    Then Cryptic went on Champions.

Is it intriguing that NCSoft starts its new MMO at same time as Champions the competitor of its product CoH ?

If this is just calculated, then it may proove Aion is too young and not complete at launch time.

    Look at Microsoft.

They went after servers only ~10 years after desktop was launched.
Now they are in office, cloud computing, search, even gaming and a lot more.

Look at Oracle. They develop not only database but also application.

Look at IBM. They went for service years ago.

Look a Dell. They are going for service for a few years now.

Look at Apple. They are selling mp3 and service around it.

Nah, it's just like viewing one screen with one eye, and another screen with the other eye. So you could say it's 2048x1080x2
