Hasn't stopped the Burlington Northern from sending freight trains two blocks from my home at 3 crossings every 30-45 minutes a day 24 hours a day. The ones at night lay on the air horns solid from one end of town to the other. The dual mainline track was installed after I moved in to my home.Cheap chinese goods for all your big box store lovers How do I know it's all the stuff from china? The freight boxes are China express J B Hunt Maersk etc. I'm pretty sure the Oracle from Omaha Warren Buffet who owns a majority of the Burlington Northern has enough money that he does not hear train horns in his sleep all night long.
Seeing how they haven't solved front porch theft yet, what makes Amazon think that "Cletus" your next door neighbor in the flight path won't take his shotgun and drop the flying pinata for his own benefit? If your not around or Cletus lives 2 blocks away how will you know what happened to your delivery? It's manna from heaven right? Plus when the drone goes crazy on it's own will the customer be liable for property damage when it hits the neighbors new corvette? The drone has good uses but that normally fits into damage caused in a war zone.
If you are driving total electric car you aren't paying fuel/road tax. A gasoline vehicle has to pay every time it fills up for road repairs bridges etc. It comes out of the tax received from tax at the pump. If you never visit the pump how are you paying your share of the road tax? If you get your propane to run your car from the big storage tank out back of your house [using a wet leg device] you are paying no road tax. Ask the farmers caught at the local livestock auction caught by state revenue people for having the wrong color diesel in their truck. Off road diesel is colored differently than road taxed diesel.

When Godzilla arises from the nuclear sludge off the reactor meltdown in Japan, the monster will head for North Korea and pinch the head off of Kim Jong Un. OR we can get serious about developing cyber and physical weapons to deter this bad haircut clown. In fact if we were really talented we could manipulate the missile to turn around and land on top of him. Then blame him for the bad design.
Wasn't that a "fast food" concept from the fifties? You went to a wall put your money in a coin slot slid the door open and got your sammich. Aren't we going back to this concept? Is this progress? Maybe the best concept is to stay home shut off the tv, and cell phones and enjoy a meal with your family. The food will be healthier hopefully. You will actually live longer interacting with people and food not designed to shorten your life. Kids in the back room boiling your meal in a bag with no supervision or hygiene for that matter does not appeal to me all that much anymore.
The article said one group of scientist was using mirrors. Now all they have to introduce smoke to the equation Then it will prove my theorem that it is all done with smoke and mirrors. Somewhere down the road I'm sure there is a practical application for all this. I just hope it is not a fluid metal terminator..
Titanium dioxide was used to alloy aluminum extrusions in Aircraft. Perhaps he did not work for Boeing,he could have worked for Alcoa in Wenatchee. I'll bet he worked for aerospace and got caught in the downturn. Whether you worked for Alcoa or Boeing the financial downturn was real. I suspect Alcoa as he would be around the raw alloy ingredients to make Aluminum extrusions.
When I was in my 20's [a long time ago in a galaxy far far away] I worked construction on a coal fired power plant. It was a pretty good sized project with around 1500 people. If you had a beef with your coworkers it got settled out in the parking lot at the end of the day. I didn't believe this was possible. But I was proved wrong when I went to get in my car to go home and there were two people going at it in front of my car.It was a supervisor and a worker. Never found out what the beef was about, but had to wait until the fight was over to go home as they found the dirt most comfortable in front of my car and a crowd had gathered. Sometimes it gets down to this, but quit the job first before you clock the guy, as it looks better on your resume for the next job.
Then it's amazing to me they start whining when they do get caught that your being unfair to them. What you are saying in essence is everyone is a felony criminal everyday and this is being unfair to the one's who get caught. The reason they punish people is to be a deterrent to other people. In the end this fellow ruined his life, not society. You are always taking a risk of getting caught if you ignore the laws. If you don't feel you should be punished then don't do it. The big misconception with crime is that some people are better at not getting caught than others. But leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for them to find you or having your best friend turn you in for the reward money can shave points off that notion as well. You are playing a fools lottery if you think you can get away with it on a daily basis. Also in certain states [Oklahoma for one] they have sentencing guidelines that can be tough as well. A friend of mine who is a prison guard found a guy in Oklahoma prison who was serving a life sentence for selling methamphetamines and it was his first offense. The sentence guidelines stated that on a statistical basis formula that every so often a convicted criminal had to be given the maximum sentence. Nowhere in the guideline does it say first offense will be treated differently. Guess he won the lottery huh?
If the police would bait some fake packages with dye packs like the bank uses it might be a deterrent. Bait a porch in an area that has been having this problem. Use surveillance cameras and put a small gps tracker in there as well. With any luck you can see him drive 2 blocks and become a blue smurf. Kind of like bait car.
DON'T DO THE CRIME IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME. I don't feel sorry for this guy.He is twenty five years old. What do you want him to have? A participation certificate instead. The reason I shell out good money for malware and anti-virus every year, is to keep assholes like this from messing up my computer. Put him in jail with Rachel from cardholder services. I used to think used car salesman were the bottom feeders, but telemarketers and people that just want to ruin things like this guy are the new bottom feeders. The benefit of a good education isn't worth much if you make poor decisions like this. 10 years will give him time to learn how to be a janitor or fast food worker, because nobody is going to hire him for what education says he is. What a waste.
What amazes me is the hypocrisy of the Obama administration. They are mad that the Russians interfered with the US elections when the current administration actively campaigned against Netanyahu in the last Israeli election interfering with their sovereign state's internal workings. In fact Obama said he will take action against the Russians. He had better worry about the Mossad doing the same to him. Obama sent people on the ground in Israel to actively campaign and support Netanyahu's opponent. We need to clean up our own house first before we go taking action against anybody. How is our credibility doing these days? I don't understand the US military's vulnerability either. I understand the system hacked at the pentagon wasn't a highly secure part of the system, but cyber security ought to be better than that here. Pogo was right, "We have met the enemy and they are us!"

The facilities to carry out this work was provided by a Dr. Moreau...........
I bought a quad core Android tv box and Netflix won't work with it. Hulu works just fine with the box. How come they can't fix this?
Relax, It's just Dr. Evil's cost estimate.
I think the first one is called Hal

Are these the same glasses Roddy Piper wore? Are we going to find out who our overlords truly are?

Also this guy ends up in prison with hardened criminals he may find out there is an entirely new meaning to denial of service.
