    btw that game's been out for the PS2 for a while.

    I was just watching a friend of mine play Eternal Darkness on her GameCube. The graphics were nice but, the detail just wasn't there, it can't hang with RtCW & my GeForce4. I agree with you about the config problems, but I've yet to see a console/game combo that can beat a fast PC with a good video card. Even on HDTV (a friend of mine has a PlayStation2, an HDTV & is using s-video from one to the other.) it still can't beat my PC in graphic quality.

    Exactly, I don't see them putting a game like BG2 or Arcanum on a console anytime soon. Even if they did, the console versions would lose a major part of what adds to their replayability. You can't Mod a console game.

    Yeah, thank God I can still play Master of Magic on Win2k. I haven't tried DosEMU under linux yet, does anyone know if it works?

    p.s. I'm not bitching, it's almost as fun to figure this shit out (Linux) as it is to play the games.

    Mandrake Linux 8.1 has a rez switcher in Mandrake Control Center. No I haven't been using Linux very long.

    Hell, I just got an Athlon 700Mhz, a Cooler Fan & a Motherboard for less than $70 shipped. Add 256Mb RAM (like what $35 @ the most?) and I guarrantee the resulting PC will run WinXp & Office XP.

    The first time I had Red Bull I was probably 16, and that was 8 years ago. Of course it was at a little hole in the wall Chinese restraunt. Red Bull's been availible for a while, you just had to know where to look.

    That's pretty damn smart if you ask me. If he receives a patent on it, I wonder if he'll either: a.) not allow M$ to use his patented ideas at all, or b.) charge M$ (or other DRM fiends) so much money to use it (pay per use), that it becomes useless to use DRM on Pallidium.

    Either way it would be great fun to watch.
