    I know that in off-kilter SUV to Econo-vehicles, a collision with an SUV would probably absolutly demolish the Cooper, while the SUV would drive away unhindered and safely cacooned in their 2 tons of metal.

    Actually, ironically, most SUV owners do not know even how to properly drive their own vehicles. So chances are, they would roll over before even touching your vehicle. :)

    Isn't EQ a big game, relative to anyone that would be playing Duke Nukem, even if it had come out?

    Why release a new one when there's more than enough suckers that pay for the current one?

    Kind of the same reason it will take a while for a new Sims engine to come out.

    You know, I try to think positively when a complete a$$hole gets elected and runs the world into the ground. For instance:

    France fully admits that they don't like the US being the only superpower left and they'll do anything within reason to run them down out of that status.

    Bill Clinton was a great politican, probably one of the best you'll ever see, but a horrible president. He figured out every area he had controll over and manipulated to his and his parties gain. Democrats hate Bush's fundraising now, but Bush learned how to do it from Clinton.

    Sometimes, you need major shifts in policy, if only to keep society from going astray. As much as we loved the dot-com bubble, we all knew it was only a matter of time that it would burst. The same can be said for social and foreign policy. We can only ignore it for so long before it hits us hard and we _have_ to react.

    These statements naturally assume that Norht American and European coders are smarter, but for those coming out of college now, this is not the case.

    Example, I remember at one CS program, the OS class was 9 weeks of learning how to _use_ Microsoft Windows.

    Alas... the iMac was created only out of desperation.

    Case mods were done before then by hobbiests. Jobs only gave Mac owners an excuse (and later, a demand) to upgrade.

    The iMac also didn't help the wish of Mac owners to have PC owners take them seriously...

    This text has some flaws... Nvidia didn't buy 3dfx nor its assets. It won them in a lawsuit with 3dfx.
