    Maybe it's just me but I think that all thta will happen is we get annoying adverts in our mags and papers much liek we do on some web pages these days.

    Thankfully I feel people will not put up with it like they do on the web, maybe then after seeing mags and papers lose sales though annoying people the web will follow suit and bocome a nicer place.

    XMBC is free.

    Yeah free and there is no need for and xbox, mod chip and wireless network adaptor. (cables look messy in your living room).

    Great so I'll just go to PC World and take home a free PC to run linux on then shall I?

    Phones over here certaibnly do get crippled sometimes, certainly in the UK at least.

    disabling ways to put your own wallpaper / ringtones on the phone is a common ones that all providers like to do, in order to sell you downloads.

    Also bluetooth was serverly restricted on early 3 handsets for simaler reasons. (ie to make you use premium services).

    That's for my next phone I will get a PDA that happen'd to have a phone built in, as opposed to thier phone with crippled functionality offerings!

    Which stone are you hiding under?

    Putting free stuff on gets them nothing, where as something people may pay for in the future will.

    The company will give them incentives, maybe pay them a small ammount to bunbdle, give them concessions on other software to budle etc.

    Furthermore, yes I use AVG free edition on my windows box's however I can see why it doesn'y get bundled.

    Indeed, but why bother to even install this software.

    I just recomend people use a card reader.

    That way you don't have to install useless software that sits in the system tray and triews to install loads of trial version of software you don't want or care about.

    Because that makes games better of come with a money back guarantee if it sucks?

    TBH I mostly play MMORPGs these days so copying aint possible.

    However I did copy the PC version of GTA:SA, why because I bought the ps2 version and it sucked, the ps2 just wasn't up to the task, I wasn't satisfiedand had no choice due to the sonys 6 month monopoly. Personally since I already bought the game I'm not going to buy it again but I want to be able to play what I bought.

    No let's actually be honest.

    The developers had an idea which they put in the game. The management said no that might upset some people. The developers said ok set a toggle and it's "out".

    Still you'd think with the DMCA that a toggle would be enough to restrict, isn't that the whole point?

    I love mac, mac is good.

    But your PC case is not everyones.

    Since PC hardware is diverse and uncontroled compared to apple's this brings about something.

    Some of it SUCKS.

    Some of it does not.

    Research your PC hardware, only buy those that do not suck! Pc hardware can be as nice as apple's.

    Only allow people to fly naked.

    Great, passing though airport secuirty and hand in all your clothes, get them back after the flight.

    Simplicity and should stop pretty much everything.

    Because the corporations that produce the games really aren't into re-writing a game for nothing to satisfy a few people who will use the backwards compatibility.

    You still want to run all xbox games? keep an xbox, hey they'll be going dirt cheap anyway soon. Much like ps1's are now, I found it cheaper to buy a ps1 second hand with 9 memory cards rather than buy a memory card to replay ff7.

    Nice counting ;-) What you mean is the original GTA is nearly 10 years old, and then only if you accept 5 months of 9 years old as nearly 10.

    They are refering to the 2 new BLUE LASER formats, they may be technically using incorrect terminology but I don't see how anyone who had actually read the article could come up with any other thought!

    I Quote "At the core of both formats are blue lasers", sounds pretty obvious to me, you are probably the only person who got the wrong end of the stick!
