    I feel that anylasis of the study would reveal the varying applicability of aforementioned study in different situations based on the application of the method to said situations.

    The Middle East has been a region of conflict since the dawn of time. The most recent bout started in the 1910s as the Ottoman Empire imploded, and basically has continued through the present day. And it was hardly peaceful before.

  6. I think another consolidation wave is upon us as relics of the internet get swallowed up. The startup business has slowed for now.

  7. That they were affiliated with Hanjin Shipping, which went bankrupt a week ago and as far as I know their ships are still stuck off of the Pacific coast. If they didn't keep a large inventory missing a shipment could have just done them in. A line of speculation, but plausible at least.

    Tesla has about 2 fatalities per 100 million miles. South Carolina, the worst state in the US for accidents, has 1.65 accidents/100M. Massachusetts has .57. Clearly, self driving cars have a long way to go.

    They are willing to replace the jack with a USB C connector. As long as somebody makes USB C headphones I'm fine with that.

  17. Seem to be in a repeat of the industrial revolution, going on now. We are seeing more machinery and jobs shifting from blue to white collar (last time it was agricultural to blue collar.). Increased immigration. There will be many effects in the end, but those unemployed workers won't stay that way forever because them newfangled machines put them out of work.

    Is probably the least evil group that could be running the internet. The UN and ICANN are both corrupt and could easily be dominated by small despotic nations. In fact the UN is dominated by small despotic nations now. The US government, at least, is generally pro free speech to a fault and is merely content to watch, as opposed to making people disappear.

  20. The way to fix this is to make importing sugar easier. Poor Caribbean farmers get more money, consumers get cheaper goods, the sugar lobby goes away. Everybody wins!

    Alright, I see your point then. I just find it annoying. I think we only have second best but we have a massive land area. If there's anything we need to do it's to just ban data caps everywhere. Data costs virtually nothing to any ISP, it's coverage that costs money.

    Personally, I always thought that the US should use the standard international bands. It makes buying foreign phones a huge pain.
