  1. ...And Facebook Keeps Wondering..... on Ads Are Coming To Facebook Stories (techcrunch.com) · · Score: 1

Facebook keeps wondering why they continually lose users month after month. It is because of this kind of shit. I have seen these commercials in the middle of videos from famous people and I have stopped following them because of it. Many times I really like the videos they post and I tried to deal with it. But watching 1/4 of the video and then a commercial, then a 1/4 more of the video and a commercial then 1/4 of the video and a commercial and then you get the last 1/4 of the video is BEYOND annoying. I ignore the commercials anyway or mute my phone waiting for them to finish. Facebook loses because I just stopped following the people and they now lose everything. Over the last 4 years I have seen 75% of my friends close their Facebook accounts, the ads and the commercials being the biggest reason. The second reason the huge depression you get from Facebook. Seeing everyone getting new cars, new houses, and all those 40K vacations is extremely depressing when you cannot do any of them. Well thank you Facebook, now I am closing my account.

I did not flame anyone I was just saying it was dead and now we find that the biggest radio company is bankrupt. I can't stand the commercials now, 80% of them are for something I don't want and 15% are for something I don't need and the leftover, well maybe. 2) I agree with the other comments isn't this a driving distraction? We have cell phone laws that prohibit looking at the screen, but now it is OK to look at my screen because it is built into the car?? 3) Does everyone remember when Samsung did this to their TVs??? It was about 4 years ago all their smart TVs started displaying text based commercials with no way to turn them off. There was such a public outrage that 3 months later there was a hidden way to turn them off if you call support. Then 6 months later there was an option to turn it off and now the options does not exist (or at least on my TVs the option is completely gone). These text commercials were extremely annoying and always popping up at the most annoying times. Worst 3 months of watching TV!

The phone manufactures can entice us buy a new phone every 1 or 2 years if they will offer them to Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T at a huge discount. Then the phone company gives us the $199 upgrade again. I did that in the past and if I had to sign a 1 or 2 year contact so be it, it was worth it to get a new phone every 24 months, and not pay $600 to $1000 for a phone. Now-a-days they charge you the full retail price, no contract and divide up the cost over 24 months. There is absolutely no discount you pay full retail, so there is no incentive to get a new phone and why I still have my Samsung S5 that works perfectly.

Yes they do control what you buy. If I can ONLY buy something with a credit card and they deny it, even if I have the credit then that is control. I don't carry credit card balances so it is only their money for the transaction and the amount of time they wait until I pay them. I would not have credit cards but they control so many things that you cannot do everything without one. Ever tried to rent a car without a credit card, you can't. How do you buy Bitcoin without a Credit Card? Please tell me. And for the flamers: I am not saying I support Bitcoin or do I love or hate CC companies. I am talking about how they control what you buy.

  13. The Very Reason Bitcoin Was Invented on Five Major Credit Cards Are Now Blocking Cryptocurrency Purchases (cnbc.com) · · Score: 1

This is the very reason Bitcoin was invented. One of the main things people don't like is how banks and credit card companies can CONTROL what we buy. If I want to buy Bitcoin I should be allowed it is my money (or borrowed money to spend as I like). If I lose my money that is my fault and my problem. The credit card companies are freaking out because they are loosing control of people and the money, and the trillions of dollars they make each year. If Bitcoin or another currency takes over they loose control and all their earnings. So stopping people from buying it is how they can continue to control us! All this does is make us want to get away from them soooooo much faster.

My S7 is a great phone but when it locks up or has some major issue I have to wait until the battery dies on it's own which could be up to 2 days in my case. One day it locked up so bad that I could not power it off and I had just charged it. The phone was locked and I could not do anything it was frozen. I had to wait 2 days until the battery died! Stupid design not to be able to remove the battery. On top of that the battery is not really dead so I have to keep turning it on over and over and over until it really kills the battery. Then I leave it for few hours and try turning it on over an over. Once it is truly dead, I then charge it all the way and the phone works perfectly for a long time. Just rebooting it never fixes it and trying to power it off and on never fixes it because the phone NEVER really powers completely off. Removing the battery is essential.

We are down to about 3 FM stations and they are always saying on TV support us, support us, support us, we cannot pay the bills and will be off the air soon. So how is turning on FM going to work in areas where FM is fading FAST! Is NextRadio installing FM sites or taking over these stations that are closing. I have watched contractors take the towers down or sell them to the cell companies which strip them so there is no much to buy. So how is this going to work in rural areas, where I am sure FM is going away even faster???

This is like buying a car and the dealership says they are not going to fix your engine under warranty because you are using the car to transport cocaine. It is not the dealerships responsibility to enforce laws. It is not the ISP's responsibility to enforce laws. The other take I see here is they are threating their customers a good lawyer could sue them and win for threating to kill them. Just saying!

  25. I have owned 2 and here are the problems. Not in color, or it is sort of color just certain parts are. Will not track all the information you want, if you want it all you have to buy 3 different watches and wear them all, dumb just build it all into one. No way to write your own custom exercise item, (i.e. Fitbit you can only pick from 10 options, but I play many other sports and you cannot program them in) Charging make it wireless and able to charge while asleep and track your sleep (Hate taking it off once a week to charge it and lose all my sleep data for that night). Make it interface will all apps out there not just brands or a few others, all of them. Make them durable, wristband breaks, and face cracks, come on these things are 300US, make them last. Adjustable brightness, adjustable fonts, even if you don't think it needs to be that bright or that big, some people need it and they will sacrifice battery to have it. Another charging option make it charge with your motion, I play a lot of sports I would probably never have to charge it just because I move so much. Better Bluetooth interface, more options to store and play back music. Much better interface to your phone. That is just the top few, but you get the idea. I was hopeful after 3 years (then I bought my first one) they would advance greatly in that time, but to this day they just don't work very well. -WS
