Model rockets are awesome.  Just check your local laws to see if they're allowed.  I'm in Southern California and it's hard to launch them legally.  Although, if it's not legal and you still want to try, just be sure to find a safe place to launch.

Also, the parent mentioned keeping the engines until ready to use them.  I was into model rockets around that age and though I was tempted to launch one on the ground by itself, I wasn't stupid enough to try.  Hopefully your kid is mature enough to think the same.

I am comfortable with what Apple needs to do to maintain its relationship with AT&T wrt the iPhone. Without AT&T (and I'm not saying I like AT&T), there'd be no iPhone.

Actually, without AT&T there would be no reason to keep it locked. Anyone could use it on any GSM network. Sure, some of the extra features wouldn't work, but obviously a lot of people don't care since so many people are unlocking and switching carriers.

Here's what IMDB says about Tarantino and Sin City:

"Robert Rodriguez scored Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) for $1. Quentin Tarantino said he would repay him by directing a segment of this movie for $1. Tarantino, a vocal proponent of film-over-digital, has said that he was curious to get hands-on experience with the HD cameras which Rodriguez lauds. When asked about his experience, Tarantino merely replied, "Mission Accomplished.""

I've never set one of these up, but this got me interested so I started reading..

You can use a regular phone line.. If you do, you need a modem thingy like the $7 mentioned in the article (turn analog line to digital for asterisk). You can use a regular phone, but you need an ATA or FXS adaptor (turn analog phone into digital). You can set up Asterisk however you want with multiple extensions, voice mail, etc. Each additional phone would need its own ATA adaptor thingy, else you need VOIP phones.

Someone mentioned broadvoice.com which offers "Bring your own Device" for $6/mo. Hook up your Asterisk system and you can dump your regular phone line since you'd have VOIP.

Those are good points, but you missed an important one: things will HAVE to change. With Tivo and other methods of recording and skipping commercials, advertisers will realize that less and less people watch the commercials. -They- will eventually require something to change since your points will become less valid over time.

"when I reloaded the page later it would revert back to my prior high bid, which can be handy for disguising what your actual new cap is. I'm sure they know all about it and had fiddled with the way it works."

This is probably your browser caching the old page, which I've also had happen. It's not their fault you need to reload the page.
