I ran across the BrewBit. By the looks of the blog, it's pretty far along (photos of the circuit board) but I have no idea what it's going to sell for.
Model rockets are awesome. Just check your local laws to see if they're allowed. I'm in Southern California and it's hard to launch them legally. Although, if it's not legal and you still want to try, just be sure to find a safe place to launch.
Also, the parent mentioned keeping the engines until ready to use them. I was into model rockets around that age and though I was tempted to launch one on the ground by itself, I wasn't stupid enough to try. Hopefully your kid is mature enough to think the same.
So how do the presidential candidates themselves run? They're getting paid their Senate salary while they travel around the country campaigning, aren't they?
Does adblock actually download the image, but just not display it? It wouldn't show up in their stats if adblock never downloaded the image to begin with.
I doubt he'd be for increasing NASA's budget, a federal agency. That would contradict what he's been saying all along in terms of reducing the size of our federal government.
I am comfortable with what Apple needs to do to maintain its relationship with AT&T wrt the iPhone. Without AT&T (and I'm not saying I like AT&T), there'd be no iPhone.
Actually, without AT&T there would be no reason to keep it locked. Anyone could use it on any GSM network. Sure, some of the extra features wouldn't work, but obviously a lot of people don't care since so many people are unlocking and switching carriers.
From what I've read in the past, they would only allow most employees to work just under the "full time" minimum hours so they wouldn't qualify for benefits. Again, this was from an article (probably on slashdot) from long ago, so who knows if it's true or not.

Any suggestions of where to buy one that you mention? I want one now. =P
You think those are all "produced or manufactured" in the US? For example, Intel's fabs are in Costa Rica, the Philippines among other places. Sure those are all based in the US, but the products aren't made here.
Here's what IMDB says about Tarantino and Sin City:
"Robert Rodriguez scored Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004) for $1. Quentin Tarantino said he would repay him by directing a segment of this movie for $1. Tarantino, a vocal proponent of film-over-digital, has said that he was curious to get hands-on experience with the HD cameras which Rodriguez lauds. When asked about his experience, Tarantino merely replied, "Mission Accomplished.""
I've never set one of these up, but this got me interested so I started reading..
You can use a regular phone line.. If you do, you need a modem thingy like the $7 mentioned in the article (turn analog line to digital for asterisk). You can use a regular phone, but you need an ATA or FXS adaptor (turn analog phone into digital). You can set up Asterisk however you want with multiple extensions, voice mail, etc. Each additional phone would need its own ATA adaptor thingy, else you need VOIP phones.
Someone mentioned broadvoice.com which offers "Bring your own Device" for $6/mo. Hook up your Asterisk system and you can dump your regular phone line since you'd have VOIP.
Those are good points, but you missed an important one: things will HAVE to change. With Tivo and other methods of recording and skipping commercials, advertisers will realize that less and less people watch the commercials. -They- will eventually require something to change since your points will become less valid over time.
"I see that they have homed in and I raise my cap to 125.00, suddenly my high bid is 102.50 rather than 100.01."
I've noticed this as well.. but . ..
"when I reloaded the page later it would revert back to my prior high bid, which can be handy for disguising what your actual new cap is. I'm sure they know all about it and had fiddled with the way it works."
This is probably your browser caching the old page, which I've also had happen. It's not their fault you need to reload the page.

None of this was mentioned on employment offer letter?

.. but you buy the games if they're available on Steam, right? Since that covers your only complaint.

What about absentee voting? That way you can take care of it at your leasure and mail it in.
"Everything is changing and the industry is petrified"
That just about sums it up.

Just like spammers!
Well, obviously the only reason he answered so many questions was that the editors originally sent him 42 to answer..
At times this is a big issue in math classes. It's a lot easier to teach kids to use a calculator than it is to teach math.

Also true considering he is co-directing it as well.

Why not print all that stuff on campus? Surely they give you free pages each quarter/semester.

Well, they would still have to pay the registry $6 per domain like everyone else.
