I think the point is that "version" of the game is abandoned. You had to buy the game before you had the opportunity to pay monthly to actually play it. Shouldn't people be able to set up their own servers if they want as they have already bought the game?

I don't know why people keep spouting the lie that the OLED problem has been solved. My 2016 Moto Z already has noticeable burn-in after only a year of use. Problem has not been solved and anyone spouting this lie is blindly believing what the manufacturers are telling them. I can't wait to start hearing of all the burn-in/yellowing of the insanely expensive OLED TVs everyone bought in a couple of years.

What happened to actually reporting on specs and features? I want to know if I can replace the battery, insert an SD card, or wirelessly charge it. I couldn't care less how thin a phone with a 5.5+ size screen is. And yet, that's all they talk about.

    1) There are not any killer new features, and in most cases of the 2016 flagship phones, features have been removed (wireless charging, replaceable battery, sd card slot). Why would I upgrade my phone for a slightly faster processor and more ram, while losing all these features of my past phone? I just replaced the battery in my Note 2 and now it will last all day on one charge again, instead of 45 minutes on the original battery. 2) Carriers have stopped "subsidizing" phones (this is a good thing). While they really didn't subsidize them before, the price was hidden in the service cost. Now they list the full price and clearly state the extra amount you will have to pay each month to pay the phone off. Why renew my contract and be locked in to paying full price for a new phone for two years when I can just continue using the one I have? Not to mention I can just wait a little for the price to drom and then buy the phone outright at a discount.

  11. Re:Samsung vs Nexus on Samsung Unveils Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Gear 360 VR Camera (hothardware.com) · · Score: 1

If you want a phone you actually own and one that will last a long time, don't buy any recent Samsung. -While you may be able to root it, because of an extremely anti-ownership feature Samsung calls Knox, it will void your warranty and likely prevent some features of the phone from working.
-Longevity is severely reduced by the non-removable battery. (in my personal experience, I still use a Note 2. I just replaced the battery on it and am back to a whole day of usage from the 45 minutes I was getting on the original battery.)
-All Samsung devices use their AMOLED technology. While these screens look amazing, they have a very short life. My Note 2 has severe burn-in that you can easily see on any screen (except black). I will never buy an AMOLED device again. The high prices they are charging for their OLED TVs are laughable. Why pay more for something you will need to replace shortly down the line?

Samsung designs their phones to only last 1-2 years at best. They plan for them to need replacing. They expect you to buy a new one every year along with all the custom accessories that only work with that phone - Gear 360 for example.

In short, if you buy a new phone every year or less, then get a Samsung.
If you like to actually own your device and have the freedom to root and replace short-life parts, get a phone such as the LG G5.

As far as I am concerned there are NO valid 3D movies available, even Avatar. They all have 3D scenes with part of it out of focus. Look at the very first scene in Avatar when Jake wakes up with the water droplet as an example. If it is in 3D EVERYTHING needs to be in focus because my eyes are expecting to be doing the focusing. That I think is what gives everyone headaches. Your eyes keep trying to focus on things that are unfocusable for 2 to 3 hours. If you can't film a movie with everything in focus at the same time then don't make it 3D.

Games on the other hand should work well because they can be rendered in 3D with no out of focus issues. I look forward to the day I can play my games in true 3D. But I am not spending this amount of money on just a gaming TV.

Well your lucky then. I upgraded to thunderbird 3 half a year ago and had to downgrade back to thunderbird 2. The reasons were exactly the same as the article, all around poor performance, many crashes and problems. I tried some fixes such as disabling indexing, but they only made it bearable. Thunderbird 2 however is rock solid on my quad core machine.

Do you use both imap and pop? Are you on linux instead of windows? There is probably some way you are using the program that does not reflect the majority. I have heard many reports of people with problems with thunderbird 3 performance. Simply take a look at their forums to get a good sampling.

I have three gmail accounts (imap) and one pop in Thunderbird. I had this issue that the article talks about when Thunderbird 2 was upgraded to 3. It would get to the point that closing Thunderbird would not work. I would have to kill -9 the process to get rid of it and the total use of one of my processors. The sollution in my case was to delete all my account folders and settings and recreate them from scratch. Since they are imap it was no big deal.

Is it possible something from version 2 to 3 is the cause? Does a fresh setup of 3 with email accounts produce the same problem?
