Penny-Arcade tried to run its own online store, but every time it went live the server or software was almost instantly wanged by the traffic. So now they sell all their stuff through ThinkGeek. They were big well before ThinkGeek was associated with them.
What is the process the dev team goes through for balancing character classes, items, NPCs, etc.? Seemingly minor changes can have a huge effect on gameplay, how do you avoid unwanted negative effects on the overall gameplay experience with each content patch? Also, How much of an effect does feedback from the community have on this process?
My guess is that some black hats have known about this for a while. However anyone who knew about it before it was patched would be ostracized from the community if they let it out into the wild. But when the hole was made public, they were free to release the exploit.
What? Most universities here in the States have shorter semesters than that. They typically run from mid-august to mid-december, with exams being the second or third week in December.
They made the bots "dumber" by making their aim less accurate.
A bot that gets 100% headshots all the time is nothing special. That's easy to do. A bot whose accuracy is realistically affected by how well you move in the game is another matter entirely.
The adult swim show block on Cartoon Network is doing great by offering this "niche" content. They run Futurama and Family Guy reruns every night in addition to anime and some of their own original shows.
If you get the chance, walk down the hallway of a college dorm building a little after 11:00 PM EST. Nearly every room with a TV in it will have Adult Swim on.
Yup, this controller looks exactly like some of the 3rd party ones i've seen for sale. Every single one of those was a huge pain in the ass (hands?) to hold.
Funny, XPlay is one of the few shows that survived that horrible merger rather unscathed. The changes involved in going from from Extended Play to X Play were improvements, IMO, and G4 has (for the most part) left this show alone.
I've found two things that help with getting to sleep at night.
1) Exercise. I've noticed that unless I'm in the gym 3 or more times a week my sleep schedule suffers horribly. I think i'd go insane without my gym membership.
2) ZMA. It's a Zinc and Magnesium supplement popular among athletes (especially bodybuilders). Regular exercise depletes the zinc in your body, which this helps to counteract. In addition, taking it 30-60 minutes before you plan to fall asleep almost always assures you a very deep, restful sleep. I always feel better the next morning if i pop a few ZMA pills.
Be forewarned that some people get REALLY weird dreams when taking ZMA. Don't get the ZMA with calcium supplements; calcium and zinc compete for absorbsion by your body, there's no reason to take them together.
I have a Shuttle SN95G5, it's actually smaller than the P series Shuttles.
While it isn't the easiest thing to work inside of it's certainly not hard. Shuttle has done an amazing job designing their SFF boxes. Just about anything requires the removal of the video card, but that's easy to do.
Anyone can use the resources Thottbot provides. Just go to the website. The add-on is only if you want to help them collect data.
Companies like this can wreck a game's economy. By farming gold they cause inflation (there isn't a limited supply of money in this game). Suddenly everyone who's been obeying the game rules can't afford anything and will have to grind for hours at a time just to buy decent items. Or buy what they need on ebay, thus creating a viscous cycle.
Normal players don't farm 24/7/365 because it isn't fun. This combined with money sinks keep inflation down. But when a company comes in and only plays the game to gather gold the gameplay mechanics get thrown all out of whack and shit gets ugly quick.
Ask a long-time Lineage 2 player about how ebay and farming have affected that game's economy.
I've done most of my wardriving in Oakland County. It's hard to go anywhere and not pick up signal from an access point. And any cluster of housing (subdivision, apartment complex, etc.) is just loaded with APs - most of them unsecure.
That's not what he's saying, or at least not how i look at it. It's not "The ends justify the means." It's more of a "we can't undo it, might as well make the best of the situation" attitude. Or "life gives you lemons, so make lemonade!"
Graduate security courses? I read and understood (well, probably 90% understood) STS in highschool. And i'm far from being a genius. It's great, but not graduate-level complex.

Link? Details? Anything?

Probably because the Iraqi soldier was shooting at them moments before.
I've seen some. Not that it helps any because i don't have links to them - i thought they were just reallly good photoshops - but they're out there.
Exactly. This is nothing new or special.
Oddly enough, the same could probably be said for this very post.

Perhaps killing it immediately is more humane than ensuring it a "good" life?
THANK YOU!

So they teach them how to stop an extremely obvious brute force attack?
I really hope there's more to the program than that.
That's what 90% of the internet has been since the early 90s. The only difference now is that we have a very weird word to refer to that 90%.
You mean there's more to Novi than a mall, a convention center, and Hooters?
News to me.

I thought i was the only one that noticed this. P.S. Crystal Quest was an AWESOME game. I wonder if anyone has ported or cloned it for OS X...
I make my code easy to read for my own sanity. I've lived out this bash.org quote way too many times.
