I don't use ajax, but I'm guessing the logic goes somewhat along the lines of this:
A page refresh to update a single control might require 5 database queries in order to completely populate the page's controls, whilst an ajax request to update a single control requires 1.
Am I the only one that thinks it would be cooler to own the "around the world" mileage sign post used throughout the M*A*S*H television series than any of the Star Wars stuff?
Oh. I'm that uncool?
I call bullshit on you!. I have heard of no such survey where 94% of Iraqis feel they are better off now than under Saddam. In fact, I heard on NPR recently that dissatisfaction with the current situation is rife in many parts of Iraq.
Can you tell me where I can see the results of this survey?
I just did - it was great. There were laser pointers on the screen the whole way through and the last person to use my seat had kindly left a whole bunch of chocolate there that proceded to melt under my arse undetected. I came out of the theatre looking like I'd shat myself. Sorry, but that's the last straw for me.
"It will result in increased spending on movie tickets and refreshments, increased foreign and domestic tourism, and increased business in shops near the theaters,"
What's the justification for an increase in tourism?
As an Australian, let me explain my thoughts about the FTA and it's IP scariness into language you Americans might understand: "You can have my iPod when you pry it from my cold dead hands."
Every time I see Tom Baker on that Scottish show or hear his voice I think Dr Who. For a guy who hasn't been Dr Who in 30 years, I think he's typecast.
Did anybody else cut holes in the side of their 5 1/4 inch floppies for their 1541 drive to make them double-sided? It was amazing. From memory it turned 170 Kb of storage into a massive 340 KB OF STORAGE!!!
Did I get it right? Is that meme too old now?
comments on slashdot rarely make me laugh these days. Nice one.
I remember seeing these type of garages in Osaka in 2001 or 2002, if I'm not mistaken

No way! This is America. We rebuild with Christianity!
People in rural Japan look at me like I'm from Mars. I kind of enjoy it.
I've noticed that all the attacks on my boxes come from Korea also.

Where can I find some reliable information on what brands of DVDs are actually good? What ones would you recommend?

Thanks to you we can all watch it happen all over again!
It goes up. And out. It goes up and out.

To the contrary, U.S. courts are quite happy to enforce valid foreign judgments, and in fact do so by the dozens each day.
Only when it suits them. BTW what's up with this Bobby Fischer shit?
Many a time I have felt like committing suicide when looking in vain for information on the federal government's website.
Here in Australia there is a shortage of tradespeople. It's apparently easy to earn >$100k as a plumber (or so an abc news radio report I heard said).
