    he calls it "bad guys"

    (he'll ask, "can I bad guys")

    I know I'll burn in bad parent hell, but he can type iddqd and idkfa by rote, and has a jolly good time.
    he launches it, randomly selects a level, and starts it from the windows wrapper..

    his favorite really is the chainsaw, he laughs and laughs..

    I don't intend to set limits, but his only computer where he plays is two feet to the right of my main computer & rig

    I watch what he does, and he watches what I do- and he hates to play deathmatch mode with me.... he dies a lot...

    he can finish the first three levels all on his own..

    the little bugger is three... so- my tolerance is probabbly too high, and not at all helpful...

    and if it does die in the field, you know what I do?

    pop in another 4 pack of AA batteries..

    seriously though..

    XX years ago, you paid 2k for a computer, end of line..
    mebber another 500-100 for a printer (anyone remember the printers that used the same balls as selectric typewriters?)

    now you pay 1k for the computer, and a few hundred for all your usb gadgetry, broadband connection (didja have broadband with your PC? no? is it costing you $500 per year?) and other add-ons that your 2k PC just didn't have as an option

    $300 SPEAKERS? on a PC-AT? riiiight.....

    I can use windows sndrec32 to capture anything played over my computer to MP3's..

    create a blank.wav as long as your 'capture'
    i.e. record 4 seconds of nuthin-- decrease speed (doubles time) a few times.
    record OVER your blank.wav
    hit 'properties' choose the lame mp3 codec & bitrate
    save, !important!, type in the mp3 extension.

    I use ivr systems all the time, I almost NEVER have them misunderstand me.

    ennunciation at times helps.. pausing between #'s helps.

    I know a lotta eastern europeans, they all scream bloody murder when they try...

    I think they should have to cough it up, if they want to do business in brazil.

    in the US, a us branch of a large company gets slammed with multiple subpeonas and searches and requests for eveything the DA can arrange to harrass the US branch (and ultimately the parent company) of a multinational when they want data held outside the country.. and in some cases, it's justified and the only leverage for a necassary investigation.
