  1. Blue Brain Project on Artificial Intelligence at Human Level by 2029? · · Score: 2, Interesting

The blue brain project is already simulating a cluster of 10,000 neurons known as a neucortical column. Althought quite good already (in terms of biological realism), their simulation model is still incomplete with a few more years work to get the neurons working like in real life. With more computational power to increase neuron count and better models they will be able to one day simulate an entire mammalian brain.

Silverlight is malware? Does that accusation come with some kind of proof? Nope, sorry, I was just trolling because Microsoft was made me install Silverlight under false pretences, ie, before listing the terms and conditions of the application that required Silverlight. In all fairness, I had a quick look at Silverlight 2.0, looks good, includes the CLR and .NET framework 3.0 etc.

Nope, the villains will be open-source using anarchists who use open source software to spread viruses. The heroes will only use properly licensed proprietary software, will say negative things about free software and reverse engineering, and will pay homage in a ritualized way to Microsoft 5 times a day. Finally a comic where the main heroes/protagonists will be ridiculed, and the villians will triumph in the hearts of readers. It is like making a "The Matrix" story where the Smiths are the heroes and the hackers are the villians.
