I remember an advert for an insecticide that 'kills cockroaches for up to 90 days'. I wouldn't look forward to that army of zombie cockroaches coming after me when they come back to life in three months...
I think that Larry Niven once suggested that money be made from uranium, so that anyone who gathered enough of it would risk it melting down/ blowing up. The idea was that radioactive money would circulate extremely rapidly.
As a Brit living in Aus it gets worse. In New South Wales you get schooners and middies, in other states you get pots, pints, 12, 16 ounces - I'm sure it goes on. And I'm not going to stop drinking until I work it out - nearly 9 years now and I still ask for a pint when I'm not concentrating!
There's a link to a 'printer friendly' version. If they'd just have a link to a 'printer evil' version it would be easy...
Would it be possible to find out the yellow colour of the dots and use this as a background for all of your documents? Sure, it would waste ink, but unless they XOR the code, it should work.
Yes, I'm off topic, but why do people think that multiple posts saying that its a dupe is any less annoying than a dupe in the first place? People who saw it before know its a dupe, people who didn't won't care. Neither of them benefit by being told its a dupe a hundred times.
Since this refers to the US, are there problems with doctors in effect ordering a patient's death - even if they expect to be able to revive them? Also, would a person's will come into effect when they die - is there a duration of death required for this to happen? Just a thought!
I thought so too (a long time ago). But then I saw some of his earlier, realistic stuff and realised that he painted abstract art because he wanted to, not because he had to. Look at this for an example.
Its a long time since I've done my physics (and I haven't read the article!), but metals are conductors, so surely (unless we are talking about a large volume of metal being circulated such as in the nuclear reactors mentioned in other posts) solid metal is conducting heat away anyway. Water (or air) are insulators, so they need to circulate to remove the heat, but I would have thought a solid metal heatsink (which is air or water cooled) would be just as good.
Isn't this how Jar Jar Binks says Google?
Hence why democracy has never been used for anything significant ...
Do know evil.

I'm sure the folks at Hallmark will stop them, think of all that lost revenue!
I predict that next year will be 2006.
Hey, hate is an emotion too! So that's what the BSD is for!

Funny, I always thought that 4 was 400% of 1.
... I find a sharp blow to the Solar Plexus will also produce a satisfying fold and drop.
So instead of free iPods, you get iPea freely?
If you lose a son you can always get another, but there's only one Millenium Falcon. -- Sidney Greenstreet, "The Maltese Falcon"

Oh, and better battery life - to avoid embarrassment!
eTattoos!
You read Slashdot, your boss sees a spreadsheet?
Or is that not who you mean by 'us'?
Now I can etch invitations to the time travellers convention and know that they'll last.
I still prefer Dali though ...
Padme: Is that a Lightsabre in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me
