I believe in Quebec contests have to have equal chances of everyone winning, with no purchase required. So, you cannot give a prize to whoever actually wins the contest.

Factoring is another NP problem.
I'm surprised that Simson made this elementary mistake.
Factoring has *not* been proved to belong to either P or NP. It's an "open problem".
Exactly. RSA will not die...factoring still will take a long period of time, with larger keys.
you would have to signup for this free stuff...it is actually quite simple to make wireless internet account based, with download limits, etc. my school already does this...we use our normal network passwords and have the same bandwidth limits as if we were physically connected to the network
Every college/university I have ever gone to the campus of has a FREE gym for its students. I would strongly recommend going because it: relieves stress, provides you with more energy, makes you more appealing to those girls, doesnt cost you anything, and keeps you healthier all round.
It is advice I would give people at any age, but especially when it is free and within a 2 second walk of your room (so no excuses!). Try it out for a month. I guarentee it gets easier and more rewarding. Try going with some new jock guy that lives on your floor, he will show you some tricks.
You're right! I retract my post. Let the clicking continue unabated!
I have a QA on the other side of my cubicle, and I am impressed with their mouse's endurance. Click click click click...all day. (We also do automated testing, but the QA ppl still check specific problems)
Btw...I have checked out some of your coding stuff, and I like what I see. The SQL wrapper is something I actually had to do something similar for in PHP because of the annoying syntax.
The latter meaning of unit test provides a way to do "rigorous inspections" over and over - because a computer is doing the work. Good times.
You CANNOT do unit testing. Think of the poor QA's who rely on our incompetence to feed their families.
Fact 37: Rigorous inspections [code reviews]

What I question more than the meaning of "test case" what does "rigorous inspections[code reviews]" consist of? If it involves a senior developer going line by line over all of the code, this will both be time consuming and anger the senior developer with the repetitive code correction. In all seriousness, I would STRONGLY suggest unit testing. It helps reduce help from senior employees, reduces errors, reduces QA time, and is just good practice all round.

Understandably you are a bit confused. Human sexuality is a tough concept to grasp, as is your gender identity.
Good luck sorting that out
I agree. That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.
The only thing making a larger/higher qual format would result in is me considering storing movies which it will look good in (action movies) in that format, on a few dvds. Frankly, my svcd rips of comedies are all the quality they require, with my current display.
I think the best way to thwart piracy is to make all dvd blanks pink with purple polka dots, so that they dont look very cool and people buy the original movie to avoid the embarassment of having pink and purple movies.
Looking at each of your issues seperately:
1. 99 of people wont care.
2. New filters cannot be applied retroactively : This is the first legitimate problem I have found with Gmail. You can do a sample search of your new filter, and then select those email, and then apply label to them (but if you have 100's it is not practical)
3. You can import a variety of existing address books.
4. There's many more problems, including their stupid lack of a plain HTML version I do not agree that their lack of a "plain HTML version" is a problem, gmail functions perfectly in IE and firefox, so I dont see the need for a plain text version. With the natural growth of technology, you have to leave some things behind, and I dont see a need for any plain HTML sites now. As a developer myself, I have not worked with "plain HTML" for 5+ years.
PROFITS are near ZERO?! This is starting to sound like Communism.
Economics 101 called and said you failed.
Profits approaching zero is a result of an open marketplace with perfect competition. Profits going to the state would be communism, because the company would be owned by the state...
But keep checking your CIA fact sheet, and making sure China is "a communist"
Unfortunately this is a byproduct of the Internet and a borderless world it created.
Is it painful in the meantime? Yes, I was laid off before, it sucks. But I found work again and started over - you can too.
Can it be stopped? Yes, but not through government regulation, protectionism or trade barriers - these will fail, just like internet censorship and halting file sharing.
Yes, unfortunately America can not stop the balancing of wealth around the globe. The US better do something quick, or soon people in 3rd world countries will be eating 2 meals a day and have shelter and clothes.
Remind me why outsourcing is bad? Global employment looks pretty good to me. Give the job to who can do it the best, at the lowest cost. Even if this means a few less Americans can afford their Lexus payments.
I believe World War III will be triggered by fuqing patents.
If I recall correctly, WWI and WWII were both caused by patents. Sorry, theres prior art to your statement.
HOWEVER, just throw "online" in there. WWIII will be triggered by ONLINE patents --- new idea!

Don't jump to conclusions just yet
Damnit, you tell me now, after I already bought the mat...
you would have to signup for this free stuff...it is actually quite simple to make wireless internet account based, with download limits, etc. my school already does this...we use our normal network passwords and have the same bandwidth limits as if we were physically connected to the network
My biggest suggestion is do lots of practice problems. Especially for any math.
sounds simple, works well
First day, buy a case of beer and leave your door open with music on.

I met 23 people in less than an hour
I would add to your list...
8. Hit the gym.

I dont know why we have to wait for someone useful to post a torrent, like a movie is not going to destroy a poor server's bandwidth.
