Maybe it'll take time to get used to, but I don't really care for it. Reminds me of Yahoo Groups and the Usenet subjects' font are too big, thus not a lot of subjects displayed on the default view.
He said that by leaving a large gap between him and the car in front of him, he was able to ease jams a bit.
Umm, I don't know if Seattle is different but if I left ~1000 ft. between me and the car in front on the Parkway here in Pgh during rush hour, the people behind me would likely honk their horn and get pissed. Not to mention, a few cars from the other lane would jump in that space, thus negating the effect of the 'experiment.'
How are your communication skills? Writing skills?
The experience you will get is good, but if I'm hiring prospective employees, they better be able to communicate with people and have a basic understanding on how to construct a paragraph.
In order to have a video chat or voice chat with someone on AIM, you direct connect to them, i.e thier IP. That is why you can send any limit text IM when directly connected, but using AIM's servers, you are limited to 1024 characters.
Why are they charging when you aren't using their bandwidth (aside from your buddy list updating and such) to chat via video or voice?
Last night on the Coast to Coast radio program, someone called up and said the whole attrocities in Iraq should be blamed on porn.
The host (Art Bell, to those unfamiliar) just laughed at him.
Reflective road studs are more of a backup guidance system than a sole reliance. If you are driving on a stretch of road on a clear night and are familiar with the road, do you really need to follow the reflectors? But if you do, they are there. Kind of like guardrails; you usually don't need them, but if you do drift off the side of the road, its better to have them then fall thirty feet down a hill, IMO.
That's it, I'm starting a bonfire tonight to burn all my CD's. What's the point of backing anything up if it only lasts five years?
I know my hard drive will never let me down and go 100 years. Oh wait...
I drive a 1994 Accord with around 150K miles on it. I don't remember too much serious fixes aside from new belts and water pump last summer, but it was time for those anyway. Other than that, runs like a champ.
Too bad the engine outlasts the body..
I agree, but some people feel they can get things easier if its personalized and in one place. I never go to My Yahoo page because I get better content at different places then what I can choose to have one web page on Yahoo.
Windows 98 is still supported by Microsoft, but its six years old. Most software that old you probably wouldn't be able to find, let alone get it for dirt cheap. Yet I could walk into Staples or related and find 98SE Upgrade still for $80. How would you choose that over a similar price XP?
I decided to look around at prices for Windows 95 since its no longer supported. One site had it for $40. Unbelieveable. I know the OS is intregal part of a computer system, but sheesh.
Some people are really upset the original versions aren't being released on DVD. I could see their reasoning, especially if they saw the original versions in the theaters. Fans of thingd just don't let the creators work how they want it.
Anyway, I'm psyched for this.
What is the girl's PC specs? I'd try this with my girl, but her PC could probably only handle Doom or Quake. Blah. It's cool though, we talk in person so beat that, Doom!

Not to be anal, but if your PC status that you 'pause' are stored on servers, can they gurantee security?

Did you uninstall 0.8 first before installing 0.9? I did that, and ONLY that and I have TBE, Googlebar, and Copy Image extensions running fine.

I didn't see anything mentioned about whether this flying car takes regular gas or jet fuel.

Almost sounds like an arrested person being buckled up in the cop car for their safety.
I'm on a 10mbit connection, so I'm a dump site. Wow, your internet penis just got bigger.

..its not capitalism there to help fund this.
Someone will end up wanting to regulate it and we'd get fed biased stories. Give me /. anyday!
Take your free food with you on your job at Google's Lunar base, coming in 2007. ;)

I don't think it really affects Firefox too much. They'll be out with Firefox 1.0 probably by summer or near the start of fall, I assume.

The capacity and price will be exactly in my range. Apple, consider me a future customer.
