Would you prefer non-root users to be able to overwrite your browser binaries? I've not used firefox on linux, so I'll assume the situation could prehaps be more highlighted to the user, but it's hardly a bug.
Someone better tell my little brother then...we're in England and he got Animal Crossing for Christmas...and it's most definitely PAL. He's been Tom Nook's slave for weeks. Evil, evil game.:)
The url "about:plugins" will list all the current plugin details, and uninstalling them is usually a case of just removing the DLLs from the firefox/plugins folder, YMMV.
D'oh. My apoligies...just noticed the argument to main. In that case you are indeed limited to the capibilities of a single processing unit. I would have to say though, thats the worse case scenario, and the same problem can be said of even efficient algorithms, (eg. binary trees which are not rebalanced frequently, etc.)
...once you can assume that any function is able to be concurrently executed all you have to solve is the communication between processors/storage. The latency of current networking technologies makes this unpractical for general tasks, but this is less of a problem with a low-latency internal bus.
Time to drag those Haskell textbooks out of the closet and dust them off.;)
Indeed. I was quite fortunate actually, I got my copy of PSO and BBA off of eBay for £11.50 and £30 respectively.
Did some playing around with the existing tools, but not looked at actually coding anything yet. I'm tempted by the action replay + SD card route though purely for the fact the software would be able to boot quicker....(though still not automomously as the disc lid needs still to be triggered IIRC).
The SD adaptor is a piece of piss to manufacture, really (though I haven't got around to buying a nice PIPO SD connector yet to mount in an old memory card:) No ICs needed, its just a direct connection of the mem card's connector traces to the SD connector's.
Delta-t will forever make me smile thanks to the dimwit whose code I saw with a comment along the lines of:// Delta t? I don't know what this is #define delta_t 1
Luckily I wasn't working in THAT group...hehehe.

The use of the phrse "political implications" made somethign occur to me...something like this has some subtle potential to persuede people unsure of the correct terms somewhere else, almost as if someone was physically nudging them away from the newstand's copy of "TinHat Weekly" whilst they were browsing the shelves.
Think about it, as the user starts typing this service could feasibly suggest only searches that have a certian point of view as the first few results, which is more than enough to cloud the issue for a casual user.
Still, same could be said for the bias present in all information sources really, but still an interesting thought.

Indeed. Seems "falun gong" is in the results. Wonder how that'll pan out.
Personally, I think the removal of words like "sex" and "porn" are more down to keeping the list short. There no way it could disply every possible word given 2 letters....though given they're pretty much given as the most common searches it seems likely theres a touch of meddling in the distribution of the displayed results.
So, in this copyright-less world of yours, where exactly would the means to enforce the dissemination of any changes you make to source code come from? No copyright means no right to restrict copies. Microsoft could take Linux, add a damn good Win32 layer and release a binary disribution as "Windows Server X".
The only hope that Sony has right now of quick entry and dominance is for Nintendo to put out another N64 into the handheld market. I don't think that's going to happen this generation.
When you think about it, that tatements kinda funny given the DS's close proximity to the N64 as well as all the N64 ports.
Just buy your own domain. I pay ~£3 a year for my domain name which has free web forwarding, full dns managment, and most importantly, email forwarding.
Thats interesting...I have a scarily good long term memory (I'm talking entire conversations from years ago, huge amounts of facts as well as pointless trivia, etc.), but I can't for the life of me do anything that involves moving my limbs too independantly, (i.e. even to begin to play instruments like guitars and drums). Maybe I just have slightly better connection between my hemispheres which increases memory ability at a detriment to motor skills.
Then again, there's a fairly good chance everything is coincidence. Still though, an interesting thing to muse over.

I would imagine he was referring to the fact that looking up/down is somewhat ungainly on a console. With a mouse, its a flick of the wrist to look up and start shooting, and tiny adjustments to keep pointing at a target whilst you strafe. With WASD setups you have a number of left hand options free to jump, switch weapons etc.
On a joypad...usually the movement and look controls are somewhat muddled with dual sticks (if availible), and thus one thumb is moving you, one is rotating you, and then you're restricted to any trigger buttons availible for things like jumping, shooting, and weapon switching, etc.
I'm surprised it's taken this many comments to mention agent smith.:) Maybe the games will be concluded by a badly choreographed CG fight in the rain between a tree stump and one of these `agents'....all done in the best possible taste of course.
As far as I know, the ring-a-rosies rhyme comes from the black death in the middle ages, quite a bit earlier than the cold war you seem to connect it with.
Surely what they're saying is true for all handhelds though? Besides, when time is as valuble as it will be in 15 minute increments, loading times are going to need to be tweaked an awful lot.
You could always just reference to the specific revision uri. That should retrieve the exact information you used yourself.
Problem solved. :)

Then the program can be solved at compile time and all it spits out is a constant value :)
Program in a language that is referentially transparent.

For great justice?

Bah, you beat me to it. It's a great story....well worth the read. ...just need Sun to sort out those dimensional conduits now... ;)
Because penguins are only in the antartic, so you'd probably starve before you caught one in the artic :)

Good old Will Wright. I like his style.
