my whole apartment complex just got through having verizon fios contracts come and install it, we had to clear out a few feet of closet space and that was it.

my guess is the problem some people might have is someone going into your home, installing something you dont even want. So the operators of the complex dont let the installation happen.

You take care of your character more, until your roomate starts downloading the latest game/movie/tv episode, the power goes out, your internet goes out, your IM client brings you to the desktop, the phone rings so you go and answer it, someone comes to the door and you answer it.

And then die because of it.

So i lost 2 skin cells today, does that mean if i comment on them i think the loss of two skin cells is really important?

And in fact, in this case it was the reporters who probably initiated the conversation. (although it doesnt specifically say who initiated the contact in the article, my guess is the reporters got in contact with microsoft first and not the other way around)

So then its more like "I lost 2 skin cells, YOU asked me about that loss, THEN i talked to you about it."

i agree completely with this article but i have found an acceptable solution.

i do the occasional image editing, but only simple stuff, most of my editing is cropping, or resizing with the occasional cut/paste. For the past 10 years ive used image composer that is on a frontpage 95 cd (it use to be my dads before i confiscated it)

I tried using the gimp, but the 2342324 different options was just way more then i needed, way to confusing and a way to long loading time.

Thats why i not only have a frontpage 95 cd but even have a backup copy in case the original cd ever craps out. (I of course dont use frontpage)

ive been using windows all my life and i am going to try out linux on my spare box, im either going to use ubuntu or kubuntu but im not sure which. I believe the only difference between the two is that one uses KDE and one uses gnome for its GUI.

My question is, which one is better, gnome or kde? Does one "just work" and the other not? Does one of them have more powerful features?

  18. 3 reasons i will block ads on Why Do You Block Ads? · · Score: 0
I dont block most ads but i will block ads and in some cases the whole domain that an ad is coming from based on three reasons.

    1) Its a pop up or a pop under, if its one of these it gets blocked using firefox or for the rare times when im in IE, by IE.

    2) It is an ad that tries to "trick" you. Like ads that try and emulate error messages, depending on if it is trying to make a serious attempt at simulating an error message or not i might block the whole domain.

    3) If its a flash ad that has lots of bling. This can mean a lot of motion and/or sound. I block these for two reasons. Ones that flash a lot are just annoying, and ill usually block the whole domain. And if the ad is flash and has lots of effects it will often times slow the browser down, in this case i just block that specific ad.

But other then that i dont block ads, this lets most ads from legitimate sites display and while i could get faster load times if i just blocked all ads i dont like to block ads unless it impairs me significantly, because after all...
