Actually it has been there since the release of Windows XP. It sucked (Not that the current one is much better), but you had to enable it manually for each connection. It wasn't until SP2 that it was really used, or even noticed for that matter.
It always amazes me how vain many people are and how blind they are to the rest of the world. Also - WTF is this article doing on slashdot??? Slow news day??
As I work in a grocery store, I can assure you that these advertisements won't be more of a bother than the damn Muzak that plays. I hear the same songs 3-4 times a shift 5 days a week. Talk about getting old!
I installed FireFox on my parents computer running Win2K. They complained the other day about not being able to add or remove bookmarks. I looked in the profile and there were tens of thousands of copies of the bookmark file, for some reason. I removed them and all works fine now, but not sure why this would have happened.
Not only would it be great for textbooks, but if they can make it more like a 'pad' from Star Trek, meaning that you can also write and draw on it, I think they could have a really huge thing here. I'm all for things from the Star Trek universe being developed in real life.
He didn't know it? It says that he presented facts that proved it. How could he have said it but not known it?? As for Automatic Updates - they need to be completely automatic. They should run COMPLETELY in the background and update automatically without the user's knowledge. This is the only way to completely and properly secure a vulnerable windows box.
Munich screeners were encoded for region one, which allows them to be played in the US and Canada, rather than region two, which incorporates most of Europe.
The way I read this is that, since the screeners have the the dvd players, and the encryption was correct, but the problem was the region encoding, is this really newsworthy? So they were encoded in the wrong region, big fucking deal. If the DRM actually failed and disallowed the playing of the DVDs completely, that might be worth noting.
For that matter, where do you download the software itself? I can't seem to find a link anywhere on the page. And for that matter, the author says Trillian is included, yet I can't see that listed on the Google Pack site. WTF?
In addition, I also checked the Macquerie Dictionary (highly regarded Australian dictinoary), and the Australian slang dictionary. Both of which yielded no results.
I call hoax. I think it's just a fan slapped on the side of a 360. I doubt there's any more to it than that. No modification or anything. It's complete BullShit!
Hard disks are what I feel is holding back system performance. It's almost always the biggest bottleneck in a system, and has been more or less at a platoe for years, mainly because magnetic media can only do so much in a serial manor.
Have you ever tried using an IDE, such as Eclipse or Visual Studio, on a 15" laptop? I'm doing a lot of programming this semester in school and I do most of it on my laptop. I have a 15.4" widescreen display and wouldn't trade it for a thing. It's the perfect size and not too heavy. Eclipse is able to "spread out" across the widescreen display so I can actually see what I'm programming.
What is the usefullness of this? I don't want to have to get up and walk around everytime I want to use my cell phone or laptop. Do you have to be walking to use the phone or just to authenticate to it?
Oops, yeah, I meant Fujifilm. That's what I get when I try to type with one hand, eat with the other, and watch a tv thats sitting behind me. I guess that's what I get for being in college.
Even in the Star Trek universe they have latinum.

Damn my smart house!

Well, it appeared on April 1st too!

Should give you plenty of time then!

Who knows, but it would be fun to see the mass panic not seen since the terror of Y2K!!

Well, if you put it like that, it makes the scientists feel dumb.
In addition, I also checked the Macquerie Dictionary (highly regarded Australian dictinoary), and the Australian slang dictionary. Both of which yielded no results.

So does a smaller budget mean smaller boobs?
In Soviet Russia, air guitar plays you!
*ducks*
Well, Something has to be the bottleneck. :)
959.77/14 = 68.555 LOC/DAY
68.555/24 = 2.856 LOC/HOUR
2.856/60 = 0.0476 LOC/MINUTE
0.0476/60 =
If my calculations are correct that is. Gee, I guess that's not very fast than is it?
I'll be impressed when they can get up to 1 LOC/SEC.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to notice this as a dupe. Now if I could just find the original post....
