I'd also suspect those who are happy with dialup are more inclined to rent a DVD.

Cringely predictions have always been a take-with-a-grain-of-salt kind of thing.. After these two ridiculous apple predictions today, I wouldn't be surprised if he's getting old, and that his predictions are just getting progressively more insane.;0]

When You Wish Upon a Weinstein didn't even air until a year or so after the show had been cancelled (on Cartoon Network no less) so I doubt that had much to do with it. More like poor ratings due to FOX shifting around the time slot and so on.
IMHO, the new episodes have been pretty damn good, and not "nuetered" at all as far as I can tell.
To test the battery life, I took a trip on the bus to simulate an average commuter's experience. After 25 minutes, the laptop was dead. When the bus made it back to my stop, I discovered my legs had fallen asleep from the weight! I ended up riding the bus all day, unable to leave my seat, and too afraid to move the computer from my lap, knowing I could not give chase to any potential thief until my legs had recovered.
We need a Superman emblem with "OS" on it for stories like this.
Anyways, the ipod is a sucess because of adoption by the mainstream crowd, and they are not concerned about how "open" the device is. Opening your firmware is great, but work on making your next device the ipod killer, and don't expect a community to make it happen for you after the fact.

I got it, mostly because it came with the first SIN game for free. Anyways, I played through the episode in about 5 hours.
As for the game, it felt like a poor-man's half-life 2, and I can't think of anything remarkable about it.
I definitely won't be buying any future episodes.
