This has got to be part of that "Future Shock" phenomena that Alvin Toffler wrote about in 1970.
We are the proverbial monkeys with a machine gun.

It still amazes me to see the vast proliferation of totally idiotic behavior by my fellow man.
Including the tendency to believe what one wants to believe.
I blame nearly all of it on Corporations and our puppet government.

Think about it. The media, TV shows, commercials (one of the worst!), and a lack of government help in the area of REAL education for the governed people allow for easy repression of the masses via catering to (our) easily manipulated wants.

I am willing to bet everything I have on the fact that a better educated public, as well as enforced truth in media, would go farther to helping us all, including the end our shooter crisis, than anything.
For example, making guns harder to get might help 1 symptom, yet will not end all shootings. Fixing those demented minds is a more practical solution.
We need to treat the societal diseases, not the symptoms. Guns would not be such a tough problem if we ALL knew better the truth and actually regulated the culprits of damage (e.g.corporate control, religious extremism, mind numbing TV (especially commercials), etc...).

  5. What is Bernie Sander's take on this?

  6. WAY too many bullshit incidents happen.
We need a far better way of vetting those officials we allow to hold enforcement offices.

Police need to understand that they are here to SERVE THE PEOPLE, not serve their need to feel superior!

Tell me, how in the world a stolen iPhone would warrant such extreme measures?!
Everyone from the warrant-issuing judge to the hand-job cops needs to be fired, labeled, and sued for this one!

Most folks are happy with the "blue pill"! (Cowards!)

  19. Perhaps I fail to understand the workings and purpose of this Blue Alert thing.

Police already have a thankless job. It is hard enough for them w/o the general public (potentially) rushing to (and interfering with) a scene.
I already get a notice in the local papers when a cop is injured or killed.
I cannot imagine how alerting me real time would actually change that.
Perhaps we are now all to rush to a scene and start video recording on our smart phone?!
Every instance where I have been near the presence of a crime, I was told to move on and don't interfere.

There are absolutely no redeeming qualities with him; in his professionalism and job tasks, nor his personality.
He has got to go. He is totally unqualified for any leadership roll at all.
Any person serving in a public office MUST absolutely take the constituent opinion as a heavily weighted driver for what to do.
