Here's the important thing: I switch the damn thing off if it bugs me. I'm its master, not the other way around. Anybody who complains that the Blackberry doesn't let them focus has not grasped that concept.
Amen! I'm tired of hearing complaints from people who don't seem to understand that there's an off button.
I also agree that the progressive scan games look a whole lot better. I notice it more on a big TV than on a small TV. Unfortunately my big TV presumes that any progressive signal is in widescreen format so some of my games get stretched. I'm used to it now for Mario games but some racing games look too weird. And I'm playing RE4 in non-progressive mode (however it still looks damn good).
So, my hope for the future is that more games support 16:9 format. I know I'm in the minority but I'm keeping hope alive!:)

In Windows... Edit->Preferences->"Store" tab->"Show iTunes Music Store". So basically the same thing.
I tried using iTunes some time last year and really didn't like it. It was big and bulky and didn't help me tag/manage music. However, now that I've got my music tagged with MusicBrainz I'm loving iTunes. I had to switch my thinking from "playing mp3s" to "playing playlists" though. Smart Playlists are nice.
I feel your pain along with the other users here. And I'm very surprised at the extremely bad support you received.
For what it's worth, the uninstall bug was a known issue. It was fixed in patch 1.0.0.6 (Nov 98). I know this info doesn't bring back your data but hopefully it will help in the future.
The first time Leon swore in RE4 (very early on at that), I actually gasped and thought "Is he allowed to say that?" This game is definitely awesome. I don't see how you can own a Cube and not play/own this game.
If the Revolution will be able to play GBA games (which I have no idea if it will), dropping the D-Pad will be "teh suxx0rsz". I've got a GBA Player for my 'Cube and I'm so glad there's a D-Pad on my Wavebird. Playing GBA games with an analog stick just doesn't feel right.
I was saying the same thing to my friends a few weeks ago. I could buy a $400 iPod mini with 4GB storage. Or I could buy a $200 DVD-mp3 player, a $100 DVD burner (don't have one yet), and a $1 DVD disc and have the same storage. And if I want more storage? BAM! Another dollar.
True, you have to pre-plan your playlists but I'm used to that with my current CD mp3 player.
Do you know if any company is working on this sort of hardware solution?
Here's a speedrun of Contra. 10 minutes, 55 seconds. No cheat code.

Partners in Time is for DS and it's a good game. But I'd still choose Superstar Saga as the better of the two.
I'm guessing the DS is the female.
It's amazing the way you *notice two things*. :)
Ah... good times. :)
One of the effects that got me was the TV appearing to change inputs and then hearing lots of gunfire and screaming.
There's a good list on GameFAQs.
We even got a free NES game on that Animal Crossing memory card. :)
"You know Bagu?"

I'm probably the only one waiting for Donkey Konga 2. But I'm also looking forward to Geist.
Time Splitters: Future Perfect looks cool too but I don't know if you were looking for GCN-exclusive games or not.

Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet

I have a GameCube you insensitive clod!
IAL!
In the meantime you can enjoy Zelda kicking butt in the Smash Bros series of games!
... or Natalie Portman and hot grits. mmm
I'm always amazed how, over time, console developers can make the most of the hardware. Compare Super Mario 1 and Super Mario 3 on NES.

For those interested, the company is MadCatz and the game is MC Groovz danceCraze.
I thought this was smart of MadCatz... there are no dance games for the Cube so they made a game and can now sell their dance pads.
we've got 6 of them now in the Rochester, NY area.
:)
We've got 6 of them across the street.
Seriously though, there are 33 Timmys in my town of Kitchener, ON (~190,000 people).
It's too bad they didn't include Webmessenger. I use it at work and on my BlackBerry. Works like a charm.
