Oh, come on. There have got to be a ton of other people that want their CS:S fix without having to keep around a Windows box. And don't start with that Cedega crap. I want it a real Linux installer.
Yech, sorry to hear about that man. I wasn't exposed to that particular crap of a film till I was about 14-15. Didn't really have any effect on me other than making wish I hadn't wasted 3$ on that turd of a film, but I was like twice your kids age. I really don't believe that is appropriate for a child of that age. Good luck with your situation dude.
While they are both fun pieces of hardware in their own respect. I just have a thing for Nintendo and the fact that they still make games that are just fun. This is the same reason I prefer to have a Gamecube over other consoles and will probably buy a Revolution. I just like fun games.
Lately, I've been a huge fan of what they are doing at Jive Software. I forcefully tasked myself with replacing our lackluster Jabberd2 server with something better and found this to be a much better solution. Their product does wonderfully with LDAP authentication and their IM client is simple to install/use. Of course, the server side portion is open source. It's a wonderful free solution that works with many different clients like GAIM, PSI, Trillion, and probably alot more.
Bellsouth is just awful. I moved from one location to another and put in a change of address. They moved my service but sent my bill to the old address. I don't know why, but for some reason, I thought that when I told them I was moving that they would be smart enough to send the bill to the address that they were providing the service to. I finally got around to putting in a forward at the post office for something else I needed. Then I got the two months late bill with a bunch of extra charges. Of course, I called and said that I was ready to pay my bill off and drop my service. So they send me a 100$ check to keep me from dropping. A couple of weeks later, my service stops working. I call and complain figuring they probably shut off the service even though I paid the bill off and everything. They tell me everything is fine in the system and try to send a truck out to my house. I pretty much cancelled right then. I switched to cable and have been doing fine since. I do have my qualms with Comcast, but they are a hell of a lot better than my other option for highspeed internet.
Oddly enough, anymore I prefer mplayer under Linux to WMP on Windows. It's finally getting easier to get all the codecs for that application than it is for WMP.

Dude, you don't have to tell me. I wasn't bashing it, just saying that it will probably happen. The only console I own is a Gamecube. I play FPS games, of course I don't use a console.:P
And now for the slew of, "WTF? Who pays that much for a video card!" "If game developers knew what they were doing, we could all play Half Life 2 on my Geforce 2." "This is why consoles are cheaper/more appealing."
Soooooo, does this mean that all universities and such are going to be hiring in the systems admin field? Cause, I'm always on the lookout for a better job.:)
DAIKATANA!!! Oh, imagine the nightmare of having that attached to your resume on your way to your next job, being that a flop that big probably cost your current one.
Well, after seeing half my department let go from their fulltime jobs they had been with for several years with no notice at all, I don't really see any difference anymore. I'm actually very much considering moving to contract work after I get my RHCE and maybe a NetApp certification or two.
I think downloading music has severly increased my music purchases. Of course, it may show up as a decrease on major label purchases since I no longer am held to radio, television, or magazines for my source of finding new music. The real threat to major labels is that people can produce and sell albums without their help or promoting anymore.
At the same time, there is a great background story involving Spiderman and the alien costume before Venom was conceived. I just think that the Sandman could be an entire movie and the alien costume could be an entire series of movies on its own. Although, I'm sure there will never be a secret wars movie.
I for one don't really care if AMD is the fastest or not. They have always had better pricing value for good performance. And since Intel likes to things like this. I don't think I will be supporting them with my money. Also, learn the freaking difference between lose and loose.
Actually, I save quite a bit on the gas bill in the winter due to that fact. I have a three bedroom one story house that I live alone in, and I spend the majority of the time in the smallest room in the house which is the computer room. I run two desktops, a laptop, a router and a modem in that room. I generally keep the vent closed off to that room in the winter and the heat set about 5-10 degrees lower than most people. I have covers on the bed at night to bundle up in. So my gas bill generally comes up quite a bit cheaper than other people in my area.
Maybe it's a regular old NIC, but part of the driver just shuts down all your P2P apps and torrents.

Bleh, that's nothing. The worst part is the negligence of the use of commas. Maybe I just didn't know that Toronto had video game police.

They should have a +1 sad mod for stuff like this.

MySQL is what everybody should be moving to anyways. We only have DB2 on a server because somebody else's crappy product only works with it.

Heh, it would be better if it was 360 times the loss.

Why not Venom and Carnage? At least they kinda go together.
Swinging your dick around costs money? Is that from fines when doing it in public?
Torrent anybody?
Or worse yet... imagine that you couldn't forget the horrible visage that is tubgirl.
Mmm, maybe you could get Space Quest running on it and replace your aging Tandy?
