A huge market of people who don't own a PC or Mac, but own an Xbox? That don't own a gaming PC... maybe. That don't own any PC at all? I doubt such a market even exists.

Think computer illiterate children (or even adults). Not everyone is computer savvy, and not all that aren't want to be. Some people just want things to work. This would be a great route for microsoft to take......but they aren't known for making things that 'just work' always.

Seeing as how a lot of vendor computers (what consumers AND businesses have, ie: dell's) come with 60 or 80 GB HD's (or at least the ones sold in the last 2 years have most likely, I know thats what my dell machine at work has, and EVERY other one of my co-workers), so you are looking at giving up nearly 12GB of your 60/80GB drive just for the OS??

That doesn't sound practical to me. For a home user it might be ok b/c they can easily slap another HD in, but for office use? And what about laptops? Let's not enough go there, b/c some of the laptops sold recently DO HAVE 40GB hard drives (not a lot, but probably a fair amount, and yes its the buyers fault for buying one with that small a drive, but regardless, its still are LARGE install).

in life is to create a tech product and make a web article about it to get it posted on slashdot so you guys will all promptly tear it to shreds with your reviews!

Not that I don't agree, but stuff like this shows us what retarded marketing is used, and you ask yourself "why do they use it?" Because that is what sells products, stupid gimmicks to stupid buyers.

I personally have an mx700 with matching keyboard, I've had it for over a year and a half now, and love it. They are both wireless, response time is great, mouse has the charging station, still on original batteries, and the keyboard uses a pair of AA's like once every 9++ months (I've changed them twice I think). The mouse, even after long hours of abuse playing all kinds of games and doing everything else I do is still just as responsive and the batteries still have a great life due to the fact the charger only charges it when necessary.

As for Razer, I have never owned one of their mice b/c they have always seemed like one of those companies that try to capitalize on the stupidity of consumers. Kind of like telling me there is a difference between the can of soup with a pretty label and the can that has a white label that says "chicken noodle".
