Even the IRS has been known to setup payment plans for people who dont pay all of their taxes. Its pathetic that the recording industry has basically suggested to someone to give up one of the most important opportunities of their life in order to pay them.
Spore is a good example of a game where players from other worlds would come into your game. The way the game works is it downloads 'creatures' that other players have created on their machine, and populates your galaxy with them. From there, the computer controls them.
I mean, if you're regularly raiding those instances you probably don't have a job anyway.
Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I know plenty of hardcore players who can clear BWL, MC, and are currently working on AQ. All of them have full time jobs. Its a false assumption to think that if you can put time into the game, you dont have a full time job.
When I got my programming job, I remained firm the entire interview. By firm, I mean I gave direct answers. Sounded confident (HA! FOOLED THEM!), but there were no 'uhhhh. ummmm. well.... err...'s at all. When it came to it, he asked how much I want and I stated my figure with confidence. When I was hired, I actually got more than I asked for.
Also, if you dont want to give out your current salary (which you shouldnt), you could always state "I would like give you that information upon negotiating my salary". Or something to that effect.
Not to sound trollish, but we can already download many applications, music in mp3 format and movies/shows ALL LEGALLY. Wouldnt it be assumed that major applications and games would follow the same concept? Companies spend a large percentage on packaging and shipping alone. A large amount of money could be saved this way.
Because no one really cared TOO much about what they said until the hot coffee mod slipped through the cracks. But this is what angers me. Hot Coffee had nothing to do with the ESRB. It was code that was hidden from the game. How was the ESRB supposed to rate the game down because of that? What groups like the National Institute for Media and the Family and Mrs. Clinton doesnt understand is that in order to find hidden content such as that, its not as simple as "put in the up up down down left right left right code" to unlock it. This feature was exploited by people who literally hacked the game to find it. Yes, Ill agree it should not have been there in the first place, but it is not the ESRB's fault it was hidden and they didnt find it. The ESRB plays the game and rates it on its content as well as how the game is described to them by the developer. They are not responsible hack every single game that comes across their table to find all hidden feature buried within the games source code.
For today only the Carnival of Gamers appears on your front lawn

My friend was one of the people who was cut. He was given a nice severance package. He gets paid like normal until April. When April hits, he gets 1 months pay and gets to cash his vacation hours in. Also during the time between now and April, he still gets more vacation time.
However, they said he would have to come back the next day to get his stuff from his cube. He wasnt allowed to get it that day. Also, the second he was let go, all his access to the building was removed. I suppose that is just a precaution if the employee goes nuts though.:P
If McDonald's is advertising said coffee for sale, wherein you "drive through" and they hand you a cup of coffee while you are seated in the driver's seat, shouldn't they at least share in the responsibility?
Yeah. And instead of just putting the shooter in jail for using a gun to kill someone, lets put the person who sold that guy the gun in jail too.
the xbox was announced, designed, conceived, played, outdated, and spawned a child know as the xbox 360 (also annouced, designed, conceived and played) all before this game was completed.

The medical industry has not been about 'saving lives' since penicillin was created. While Im sure people who get into the industry are there for saving lives, but the people calling the shots are more concerned with money. Its hard to imagine how far we could go if everyone had the same data.
if they are refering to an actual 'geek', then no, it will never be/should never be considered 'chic'. any TV show that is made to make 'geeks' look 'chic' is not going to be very realistic and more than likely hated amongst both geeks and people who know nothing about computers. things like this remind me of that movie swordfish where him 'hacking' consisted of lots of little cubes linking together instead of the linux prompt. just because someone has an 'ipod', or pocketPC doesnt make them a geek. spending hours figuring out how to get linux running on anything from an ipod to your xbox to your toaster is a little bit more realistic of being a 'geek'.
with mac being the hit fashion of the industry, they wont make it free just because its not necessary for them to make it free. simple as that. people will use it anyways to show off their hip and trendy.mac address.
If it were Google Calendar and not Google Calendar Beta.

You are making this comment under the assuption that someone is actually WORKING on the game.

if they will notice that despite all these piracy busts they do, their profits still remain the same.

For giving me good reason never to want to get into the life threatening sport of kite flying.
Web 4.0 will kick his Web 3.0's ass. He needs to get with the times.
while there was always a quiet search engine war, ever since google blew up, search engines appear to be the new hotness/dotcom bubble.
