Honestly, I think if more people voted for the candidate that actually represented what what they believed instead of saying "well, it's better than the other guy" we would be in a lot better shape today.

Maybe if we actually knew what the candidates believed. What about people who voted for Obama because of DADT or closing Guantanimo?

I think it's more like all unemployed programmers become assholes, no matter how trivial their "expertise". Case in point: most of the developers and community of WoWAce, a set of libraries for World of Warcraft mod development. Any question or suggestion made on their wiki is immediately met with responses from "the experts" telling you why you don't need what you think you do, and why you're an idiot for wanting such. I'm quite positive many development-related forums exist solely for the purpose of torturing "newbs".

Personally, I'd say the only legitimate "Nintendo is for kids" argument would be concerning the online play, where your identity is hidden to the extent that you aren't even allowed to exchange text messages with randomly assigned opponents. Great for kids, of course, but for the older crowd, a system like that tends to get a bit tedious.heh, i doubt that "feature" is for the kids but rather for the parents buying into the swell of "everyone on the internet is a child molestor" mindset perpetuated by the news media. nintendo is likely just covering their own ass.

Uh yeah, that's why they put the "need" and "greed" buttons into the game. At 60 it's not difficult to find out what you want before going into an instance. PUGs are slow enough without having to wait for everyone to pass, and then after finding out no one needs it, having to wait for everyone to /roll. If you want to "discuss" then make it ML.
