The only problem is I have seen these people "Analyize" what it cost to make something and be so far off that a margin of error is the size of a small country.

The 360 costs microsoft something like $800 to make, according to one analysist, another says it's only $600, one says the HDD model costs them $300 while the $300 model costs $200.

PS3 samething, it started off it only costs Sony $600 to make the system, then it jumped to $1000 to make it. No reason was given for the sudden jump in price either.
,br> haven't heard much about the Wii in terms of how much it costs nintendo to make one, but I am sure given the right analyst they could come up with $50 all the way up to $500 to make a Wii.

Suddenly 4 PC's have become 10,024 PC's filled with pirated material and your "organization" looks good in front of people who throw more money at you and your numbers look nice and big.

It trickles along untill the media needs a story cause it's a slow news day, they find it and blow it out of perportion, suddenly you have 50 other people showing up claiming they got hurt by your computer (even though they never owned one or they own a different company's but hey, that's technicalitys), you get a big class action lawsuit against you now. Suddenly those little settlements become one big settlement for everyone who has your computer.

Then you have to get someone to do the corral the negative PR that is happening against your company, so you only had 10 reported cases of a machine blowing up, one just wanted to know why it wasn't thought of somewheres before hitting retail and 59 (not doing actual numbers because it would be in the thousands, cause where there is money to be made by doing nothing, people will show up and want a peice of that pie) others want money from your company and you are now out of a job.

Sure this is just one computer but now the questions will slowly start happening,

First step: Deny Deny Deny, Your company did nothing wrong.
Second Step: Claim it was the users fault, They weren't using the proper power supply/battery for the notebook, it's not the companies fault.
Third Step: Claim it's a small problem, Your company is presented with proof it was their fault it happened so now it's time to claim that it's a small isolated problem and out of the millions you have sold worldwide there is only the one.
Fourth step: People see the chance to make money, Now you have people coming out claiming it happened to them and naturally they have no proof cause they got rid of the notebook since it "Blew up and no longer worked!" and then a lawyer sees a chance to make a name for him/herself and make some nice change from it. Time to issue a recall on all of them regardless.

Atleast that's how it works in the USA, not sure if other people are quick to think "10 problems around the world = EVERYTHING done by this company is flawed so I should get paid for not even being a part of it!".

I don't have an HDTV (I'd like to get once but it just isn't happening right now) so neither HD-DVD or Blu-Ray really intrest me cause I will get the same picture as my dvd's right now, big woop there.

I have two DVD players right now that can play DVD, AVI (DivX & Xvid), pictures and MP3's. I don't see it listed for either player that it can play these formats.

also the reason they cost a grand each is because they play in 1080p mode and upconvert to 1080p (why you would want to see a 720p video upconverted to 1080 I dunno but it can), HD-DVD players don't do that yet (atleast not the $500 models they go to 1080i).

That's the thing I look for when buying a player though is how many formats it can play. If it's a recordable kind I make sure it supports both + & - formats so I don't have to go to a store and try to remember which ones my drive can take, I look for whatever is on sale (since you can usually get 100 discs for the price of 50 at staples every other week). It's nice to know that when I have a home theater system I can use one player to do all the work, I can pop in an MP3 CD and it will play, pop in stuff I have downloaded and it will play, pop in a DVD and it will play, all without having to hook up another player.

I got episode 1 and enjoyed it till the ending, it left me wanting more but as time has gone on I have started caring less and less. I'll end up getting EP2 when it's released as I will ep3 but I Might just wait till all 3 episodes are out before I do.

I knew Episodic content was a bad idea from the moment they announced it. They charge way to much for such a short game, they wait far to long to come out with new episodes (when is the next of 10 SiN episodes supposed to come out?) and charge the same ammount for each episode which is rediculas.

It would work if they completed the game all the way through, charged $5 per episode (can start with $10 or $20 depending on length for the first episode since it hold the core of everything) and released them each week like real episodes then it would work better. cause then in the end the game becomes $50 which everyone is used to (360 versions are $60 since that is what they are used to).
,br> but if it's going to take 3 years for 3 episodes to come out then it's not going to work well (and I feel sorry for the ones who are into SiN, cause they will be waiting 10 years for closer on it).
