Damn, did someone screw up your coffee order this morning? Been suffering from caffeine withdrawl for a while and just needed to clear your chest? Or could it be that Daddy didn't get you the Lego set you wanted as a child and now any reference to Lego causes you to go bi-polar. In any case, go see a doctor and get some medication for that!
IT is already Unionized - at McMaster University

Should IT Unionize?
·
· Score: 1
The entire IT department and IT workers were thrown into a 'catch-all' union with secretarys, admin workers, campus security, parking attendant workers and anyone else (other than management) that wasn't already in one of the local trade unions.
You can just imagine how well that has worked for IT staff.
No more getting payed based on performance or annual reviews. While that might be a good thing, union mentality has set in. Why should I bust my ass if I'm not going to be compensated for it?
And of course, salary is no longer negotiable, it's all set on a pay grade and most IT workers are red-circled because they make so much more than the top level of the grade they are in.
It's been a complete joke. Almost as big a joke as the union of choice for McMaster staff was the Canadian Auto Workers. It won't be long until McMaster moves south of the border like all other CAW union shops.
They put thoughts of illegal and immoral activity into our heads! The ultimate next level is to take what you do in games and apply them in real life.
Due to video games I often go for a drive and enjoy sideswiping cars and driving into them head on. Last week I attempted a banana kick while recently playing soccer with my friends.
Get real... Enough already.
Who the hell is going to buy a Blu-ray player as an accessory that costs, or likely would cost, more than the fully loaded 360? As of Mar 24 2008 an XBox 360 Elite is $449 at Future Shop. The cheapest Blu-ray player they have is $499. Anyone who really must have a Blu-ray unit will by a standalone player, not an Xbox accessory.
But first I should also have the anti-virus software ready to sell to all infected Apple PC customers. Isn't this how Windows PC antivirus companies started?
Damn, then they're still way overpriced in Canada. Maybe Toyota hasn't dropped their prices yet over here but then why would they if they're as popular as you say they are?
2) Priuses aren't largely driven by "the affluent". They're mostly a middle class car. And they've been a stunning success; Toyota has said not to expect any more increases in sales next year because they can't produce them any faster [autobloggreen.com]. Starting at $30,000 that would be mostly upper-middle class. BMW 3-series starts at just over $30,000.
(prices taken from toyota.ca and bmw.ca)
Nope, had to look up what WoW actually was. Mind you, most I know are in their early 30s. But then they still have all the gaming consoles that are out there.
Because gaming on a PC is passe. I don't know anyone who plays games on a PC anymore. Gamers either have an XBOX, Wii, Playstation or, in some cases, all of the above. In my case I have been, and am, happy with my Atari 2600.
I thought it had something to do with Ubuntu supporting that Lego Brainstorm stuff. Or is that product not even around anymore? Still, turned what could've been an interesting article to the crapper - that and the site already being unavailable.
continues to argue that Blu-Ray is the superior technology whether it's true or not. Then decide to hold off until the next new popular video medium arrives.
This isn't a case of economic espionage in the theft of company trade secrets. It appears more like he is the foudner of the Open Source movement. He was ahead of his time!
Our organization has an appliance by Packeteer which does traffic shaping and manages bandwidth to ensure that a group of 'clients' do not clog our internet access for everyone else. Isn't this basically what Comcast is doing? I don't use them but I'd be pretty pissed if the college students that live in my area brought my internet access to a crawl due to all their P2P activities. I'd want some bandwidth for my P2P activities too!
AFAIK code is copyrighted at the act of creation, and simply by making it available Damn, I've used copyrighted code in almost every programming lanugage I've learned. Who ever first created "HELLO WORLD!" must be quite wealthy!
Who in their right mind would want to make their PC more like a Mac? Where is PC Fanboy and when is he going to release an article on how to make a Mac more like a PC? Seriously man, unless I'm a graphic designer or video editor why would I want a Mac? And even that's becoming a stretch these days with most mainstream video/graphic editing software now available for the PC (ie Windows).

Google's coming to get ya!

Nothing wrong with that except that it's a bit too large. How am I going to fit it in my garage when it's finally available for the masses?

This title is misleading. Spam is actually 70 years old, going on 71; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(food)

I think it's about time I put to use what I've learned over at http://vx.netlux.org/lib/vxx03.html

No wonder I couldn't find any info on it. That's my second mindfart today. Sorry, I meant brainfart.

Though I doubt he'd be willing to sell his weather control device to China.
The adult video industry has it's say.

I want to be one of those 38% of downloaders that get paid for downloading the Radiohead album. Actually might make it worth downloading!
It is receiving oral sex while relaxing and listening to the radio.
Hammer Time! http://youtube.com/watch?v=b9nptjUs9FM
What would I do? Easy, I'd pack up and move to Canada or Europe!
