Unfortunately I don't see #2 as ever happening. When you purchase a game at a store you have a physical media that can be transferred, often at a lower resell price because it is used. but when you buy online, there's no point in buying something "used". What I would think would be a better idea would be simply to make the online purchase of the game about $10 to $20 bucks cheaper simply because there is no physical media and no means to resell.

Another look at the meaning is clearly only stating the obvious: Just as every life has a beginning it also too must have an end. It does not say that everyone must perish in a cruel, agonizing, bloody death. Even the bible has some pretty dark lines surpassing this one.

  9. Yet more labels to give something... on 'Systems-As-Art' In Games · · Score: 2, Interesting

meaning or definition, or the lack thereof. Art is as much in the eye and sometimes ear of the beholder much as paintings, music, and movies. I myself cant stand art where they paint the obvious or paint splotches of nothing that look like a 5 year old created it, but hey thats just me. I cant stand music where the same drawn out chord is played over and over and over again ad nauseaum because the artist is talentless hack, but hey thats just me.

Ok so maybe its not just me but the point is art has no definition so can't we all just cut the crap and talk instead about the fact that some art is widely acknowledged because it can truly be enjoyable, or because people think they are truly enjoying it.

I agree with the parent, the fact you got some interview means people are paying attention to what is on your resume and willing to spend the time seeing if you are more than your resume. Perhaps there's something about the interview itself you can work on. There's plenty of articles out there about how to be good on an interview, its mostly just normal public speaking tips though: good eye contact, clear voice, ability to answer the questions with a decent answer even when you have to admit you don't know the answer, and so on.

That may have less to do with the commercial and more to do with how people use luxury cars to define themselves, show off, or simply because they want a really nice car with good engineering. Sometimes commercials don't have to be direct, or even meaningful to everyone, because only a few need to pick up on it to socially pass it off to others.

as for me I'm just going to skip the commercials anyway, because they're always going to be rather one-sided and I'd rather do my homework to make sure I get what I want, not what the commercial says I want.

Its not that linux isn't ready (though admittedly the only one I'd stand behind with confidence is Ubuntu as I've been using it 100% at work and 50% at home for the last 2 years), its that people don't like change, especially when the amount of positive change doesn't seem to be as beneficial compared to the initial challenges associated with learning something new and lack of technical knowhow to deal with when something doesn't work as expected. Just as Apple Macs can't simply push everyone to switching over in quickly enough, linux has the same issue only less funding to convince people using commercials in attempt to assure them they get the same but better.
