Actually, I have no problem with putting a PC in the kids room.

I password protected the startup so they couldn't get past BIOS, put a security screw in the case so they couldn't get the side open, and pull the ethernet cable from the switch as I only get that PC on the web when I download patches and updates.

I let them surf on the "common" computer.

Reminds me of the one and only Numb3rs episode I ever saw. It involved proving a "Suicide" was actually a murder. Seems there was a Zupruder style "Open Police Microphone" and the math whiz star is able to deduce that there was someone else in the room during the killing.

Funny thing is when we see the guy meticulously laying everything out for the test recording we have a policeman laying on the bed shooting a gun into the ceiling... Funny, but I though the dead person fired a gun into her head.

Maybe they could contact Larry Niven and get permission for it to be a Ringworld Game/Movie/Fan Fiction.

They might need to pony up some funds to get rights for a game or movie, but I'm guessing Larry would be pleased with a good fan written story. (Heck, he let Roddenberry use one of his stories for an animated Star Trek episode...)
