Hmm, If I remember correctly the Atari 400/800/XL/XE/ST/etc computers sold OK... (And yes, he didn't have much to do with a lot of these, but the company did.)
Since WinXP and OSX do not need drivers for most USB cameras, I was guessing that the parent was asking about similar compatibility. (Access like a USB drive for most cameras...)
Yes more info might have been helpful, but not absolutely needed for a general answer.
Actually, I have no problem with putting a PC in the kids room.
I password protected the startup so they couldn't get past BIOS, put a security screw in the case so they couldn't get the side open, and pull the ethernet cable from the switch as I only get that PC on the web when I download patches and updates.
Reminds me of the one and only Numb3rs episode I ever saw. It involved proving a "Suicide" was actually a murder. Seems there was a Zupruder style "Open Police Microphone" and the math whiz star is able to deduce that there was someone else in the room during the killing.
Funny thing is when we see the guy meticulously laying everything out for the test recording we have a policeman laying on the bed shooting a gun into the ceiling... Funny, but I though the dead person fired a gun into her head.
And they wondered why the acoustic signature was different???
Maybe they could contact Larry Niven and get permission for it to be a Ringworld Game/Movie/Fan Fiction.
They might need to pony up some funds to get rights for a game or movie, but I'm guessing Larry would be pleased with a good fan written story. (Heck, he let Roddenberry use one of his stories for an animated Star Trek episode...)

My thumb drive has the lanyard attached to the drive instead of the cap and I can remove it with the clip that is between the two.
Best of both worlds! (And if the cap comes loose I only lose the cap...)
My daughter paid for a pre-order of Twilight Princess over a year ago (Maybe 1.5 years), and has been not-so-patiently waiting for it to be released. (This was before the delay)
Now she's waiting for whe Wii to be released so she can play the "better" version.
What will the robot say Kevin Bacon tastes like?

Interesting... I and anxious to find out how they plan on hardening the lander to withstand the heat and atmospheric pressure on the surface.
Not impossible, but it'll be a lot to consider.
At least it isn't Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconioses...

Yeah, but what about Antidisestablishmentarianism.

I KNEW I shouldn't have started slam dancing in the server room!
Somehow the title "Lesbian Spank Inferno" comes to mind.
Actually, the term was "situational homosexuality". I guess that means if you can't find what you want you take what you can get.
It would suck (pun intended) but I guess it'd have to do until the 2 women showed up.
Being sold by a guy who used to sell pants, and is "Not a registered user"...
And anyway, the username ends in "1337". What the heck is 1337?
Oh, wait a minute.
Actually, they show up on Ebay fairly often. For that matter there seem to be 9 of them up right now! (And quite a few cartridges as well...)
I used to play on one a lot, and years later I worked for the company that designed the danged thing.

Besides, imaging the AAA cost even WITH the "good" membership.

I let them surf on the "common" computer.

Just because I have a 5.25" 300Mb full height ESDI drive in my garage doesn't mean I want to hook it up to my Gameboy Color.
But on the other hand...

,
Sorry...
I have TWO kids that play Zelda as well as a dog. Am I gonna have to make a "BattleBox" in my living room to keep the spectators safe???

I thought it was funny...
At least I didn't make a Global Warming comment about the Sun Spots.

That way he can learn how to control the spin when Dubbya makes an "Off the Cuff" comment. Randy
That would explain the urban legend about the dog "fetching" the dynamite and hiding under his masters new truck...

I've often wondered why pilots like those mirrored sunglasses so much...
