"An often overlooked feature the Lisa system used is document-centric[citation needed] computing instead of application-centric computing. On a Macintosh, Windows, or Linux system, a user typically seeks a program. In the Lisa system, users use stationery to begin using an application. Apple attempted to implement this approach on the Mac platform later with OpenDoc, but it did not catch on. Microsoft also later implemented stationery in a limited fashion via the Windows Start menu for Microsoft Office. Document-centric computing is more intuitive for new users because it is task-based[citation needed]. The user needs to knows which task he or she needs to perform, not which program is used to accomplish that task."
Because when we save an infant or an elderly person from the flu they don't wait for the next flu to come around. They either grow up and get a better immune system or they eventually die of something else.
We don't have a backlog of pensioners and infants who didn't die of the flu before just waiting until the flu comes round again so they can die of it, They don't pile up like dry old logs and brush.
Another benefit of rock climbing is there's a challenge in that you always have harder climbs to try and it's not the same every week, It's more like a game or puzzle when you have to work out how to do the harder routes. So it doesn't seem like exercise.:)

Yes but the only one I'm interested in is sex, and it's hard to find a free server, all the others are pay as you play and they might install mal-ware. Then, even the free servers might suddenly demand some commitment or have hidden costs, When you consider that, Spore phoning home doesn't seem so bad.
While I may not agree with software patents I can't agree with your argument, it seems analogous to "If you can't patent chemical elements then why should you be able to patent devices, as they are nothing more then chemical elements."
one could argue that the loonier offspring of the "idle" artistocracy and their highly entertained (but not so very challeneged, physically, etc) kids were the precursor to what we're seeing now
Or it could be the 500 Years of selective inbreeding of the idle aristocracy that made them loony and frail, not the fact they were entertained as kids.;)

Well, when the president does it that means that it is not illegal.
Yeah? Well I use the Republican email retention algorithm for my records, so errm, sorry about that.

As A MINI cooper owner, I can in fact confirm that your hypothesis is correct, at least in my case.
They only get a 5 turn entrenchment bonus, Still better soften them up with the ICBM first.

Not sure about the athiests, never met one, but us atheists can agree about a lot in the bible. Except the supernatural stuff.
The 'pranks' you are talking about have nothing to do with what is described in the article.
Oh sorry, this is Slashdot never mind.
Is the above post V1agra spam? I dunno. It sure looks like it.

Why did you want 14.95 in change? Surely 21.06 would have been better?
That way Amazon can charge what they want, and it will be so much more than MSRP that free shipping will be no problem. :)
Other than "won't have: an optical drive" will make the dvd watching difficult, I agree. :)
