Thor SCHMUCK? LMAO, ok... apk
"THOR SCHMUCK"? LMAO my single app (of 40 freeware/sharewares I did years ago, some ending up as commercially sold products or code in them) was lowered to ZERO THREAT LEVELS after I passed all 21 questions for that @ CA no less!
Heck - that SINGLE APP of 40 or so I have written online to date?
It's NOT EVEN SCRIPTABLE FOR ATTACK
Others made one like it too: http://www.start64.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2254:hidden-start-run-apps-in-the-background&catid=70:64bit-process-management&Itemid=136/
That one is scriptable though...
Does CA list it? Oh, wait a second - CA had to SELL OFF THEIR PC TOOLS DIVISION (it sucked is why, lol):
Thor SCHMUCK (degreeless wannabe that he is in the computer sciences) is, afaik, the one that submitted my app to CA as a malware!
(It was not intended by myself for that kind of use, I wrote it in good faith for a forums guy that wanted a way to launch OLD Apache server for Windows like a service, invisibly, & since that's only 1-2 lines of code to do? I did! It's not scriptable for attack though, period (no argc/argv code in it is why)).
CA, now there's a story. Ask Computer Associates about their being caught in a millions of dollars financial/accounting scam, here:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/215116/computer_associates_cofounder_led_22.html/
Real reputable company, eh?
In fact, I passed every single one of the 21 questions for removal of my ware from their site, & all they ended up doing was lowering it down to a "zero threat level"...
APK
P.S.=> I got the LAST LAUGH as usual & won... apk

On THOR SCHMUCK & Computer Associates... apk
"THOR SCHMUCK"? LMAO, he refused to answer my points there when I replied (on PING.EXE, SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY, which violate CA's 21 point test via ping of death or altering HOSTS files, & MORE) on his own website... made him look QUITE poorly, easily. With facts, as is my usual style.

I'm not too concerned about it, because they also do it to others (along with other Antivirus/Antispyware companies, and we all know how "effective" those are, especially lately vs. today's "blended threats").
In fact? I am actually in GOOD COMPANY on that account as others have had it happen to they as well!
Ask Dr. Mark Russinovich of Microsoft or Nir Softer of NIRSOFT if they've ever had their numerous apps libeled along with themselves in the same manner... (answer = they have, so I suppose I am in "good company" here, eh?)
Thor Schrock, lol, another "credible expert" (NOT): That guy doesn't even have a CSC degree or even a single A+ type certification to his name.
All I can say to and about Thor SCHMUCK, is this: GOD BLESS TY TYMKOVICH (LOL, run that by him, it ought to be good for a laugh... the fool got wickedly SUCKERED by him to the tune of $5,500)...

He got caught by his ISP, Shaw in Canada, for email harassing me as well as impersonating me on his website (along with death threats from he & his pal Jay Little which ended up with a detective Felton in B.C. Canada where Reimer lives taking care of the rest for me).
LOL, Reimer's SO UNQUALIIED, he had to try to bring others, much to his own dismay... especially Fat Jay Little!

Plenty was done to Jay Little
CrystalTech removed Jay Little's website for libeling myself and making death threats directed my way.
Jay Little then moved to hosting it himself as he told them he would do in retaliation. Jay Little's just "bent" that I got the best of him in front of MILLIONS of readers @ Windows IT Pro forums on Exchange Servers (he claimed to be "EXPERT" on them, & "yours truly" SCHOOLED him), RamDisks/RamDrives, & Windows NT-based OS' error stopcodes too... then, his website being forcibly removed by CrystalTech.com his hosting provider for libel & death threats he directed my way as well out of his "geek angst" (pretty pitiful). He just did it again elsewhere as CrystalTech.com's staff told me he would out of "effete retaliation", lol... pitiful.

Also, my single app (of 40 freeware/sharewares I did years ago, some ending up as commercially sold products or code in them) was lowered to ZERO THREAT LEVELS after I passed all 21 questions for that @ CA no less!
Heck - that SINGLE APP of 40 or so I have written online to date?

I did! It's not scriptable for attack though, period (no argc/argv code in it is why)).

U.S. Invades (well about 2-3 countries a year but let's do 1 example).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_of_Pigs_InvasionU.S. creates no fly zone, economic sanctions, practices attack maneuvers OVER your contry.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/6030302/iran_fires_antiaircraft_missile_fails.html
Some examples of U.S. terrorist activities - http://www.salon.com/2011/03/11/us_arms_sales/. Rwanda, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq... what a catalog of success. Now in case you missed it there's this large country called the U.S. they have military bases in 100+ countries most of which have actively campaigned to get the U.S. OUT.
Also, in case YOU missed it. There is this same large country called the U.S.. They view the world as their military theatre... pieces of their imperialist empire. They have the CIA good for poisonings.... supporting drug cartels and rebels inyyour country, and which is also useful against reporters. You didn't bother to read anything you linked to did you ?
But lets sort out your farrago of misinformation.
The U.S. invades 2-3 countries/year since the bay of pigs ? well lets call that 2.5 countries/year * 60 years = 150 countries since 1960. Seeing as the U.S. recognizes 195 I am sure we will get the last 45 done in good speed.
"The U.S. creates no fly zones over your country". You are upset about the U.S. trying to depose Saddam Hussein ? BTW your link was about Iran which doesn't have a U.S. enforced no fly zone.
U.S. terrorism, you link to an article authorizing private arms sales to sovereign governments. I don't know what your point is maybe you feel the guy who mined the lead to make the bullet is a terrorist as well ?
Now when you say countries have active campaigned to get U.S. bases out just what constitutes the country ? Because whenever the U.S. even thinks about closing a base the areas around it have their town fathers turn white at the thought of their local economies going in the crapper. If you would like examples look at Clark Air Base and Subik Bay in the Philipines.

Also, in case YOU missed it. There is this same large country called the U.S.. They view the world as their military theatre... pieces of their imperialist empire. They have the CIA good for poisonings.... supporting drug cartels and rebels in your country, and which is also useful against reporters. -
You ask for proofs, but you never provide them
When YOU are asked to show works that have done well in the eyes of others professionally as I have been able to supply easily (and only a FRACTION of what I actually could)... you're all talk, b.s., & I have to say lies at this point on that note.
NOW - since you asked for proofs of myself and my words? I don't RUN AND LIE as you do... lol!
Facts that Jeremy Reimer of Arstechnica impersonated me, libeled myself, was off topic & trolling the ENTIRE TIME @ Windows IT Pro forums and got himself caught impersonating not only myself, but also a Mr. Martin Meszaros too, then lastly being SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES on Exchange Server being unstalled by memory optimization programs with backing proof from MS documentations, are below
I only state facts, and I posted links to that before on this site, but here you are again:
As to Thor Schmuck and CA? WELL, your sources are CRMINAL and disreputable:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/215116/computer_associates_cofounder_led_22.html
Additionally?
Thor Schmuck's FAR from a "security researcher" - he doesn't even HAVE A CSC degree, for Pete's sake, or security certifications etc./et al!
APK
P.S.=> Your foundations are CRUMBLING FAST, built on houses of sand, in your attempts to discredit myself - where you have shown us all that you MERELY TALK A "BIG GAME" but when YOU ARE ASKED FOR PROOFS? YOU HAVE ZERO, lol...
So, show us proof of your having done wares for others professionally, won't you? You can't and you KNOW it. Without said proofs as I can produce, you are full of it... period.
You also avoid the fact that Linux has shown itself numerous times to be shit for security, and RECENTLY too!

Kernel.org, it's OWN SOURCECODE REPOSITORY, lol, very bad, being breached
Linux.com also
Mysql.com also
4 CA's for SSL security (very bad also)
Android Linux "fine security track record" (lol, not)
---
All/each of the above are all recently and widely known + documented by reputable sources worldwide...
Lastly, you certainly cannot show you've done more that others noted as good in written publications of respected note as I have, respected trade shows for commercial software code as I have, OR even in shareware/freeware as I have around the computer sciences... all while you were STILL IN DIAPERS I strongly wager up to the present day!)...
BOTTOM-LINE THOUGH, since you 'demand proofs'/links etc.:
Yes - you TALK A "BIG GAME" but when YOU ARE ASKED FOR PROOFS, especially of noted accomplishments that did well in the eyes of others in computing in publications, commercial ware code you have done, tech trade show placements/showings, books, magazines, newspapers, etc. as I have done more times than you ever will? YOU HAVE ZERO, just a lot of "talk" - you're a WINDBAG blowhard and pitiful, lol... apkb

Barely on topic, but:
Anybody heard people say "old-timer's disease" instead of "Alzheimer's disease"?
Iâ(TM)ve always thought that "old-timerâ(TM)s disease" was a clever if tastelesspun on "Alzheimerâ(TM)s Disease"; but many people have assured me that thisis a common and quite unintentional error.

Re:Stand up a bit
And when you take a phone call, stand up. Studies have shown that sitting down increases your chance of a heart attack independent of other factors. That means if you exercise but sit down a lot, you're 54% more likely to have a heart attack than someone who exercises and doesn't sit down a lot.
Stand up, frequently. Take a walk to the printer. Take a walk to get a cup of water/tea/coffee twice an hour. I use a headset and almost always stand when I'm on the phone.

Re:"Look and feel" bullshit
I've posted this before, but what the hell. Everyone with common sense can see Samsung was imitating the iPhone was recent releases. It was so blatant that reviewers couldn't fail to mention it. It doesn't matter where you fall on the issue, who you think should win or if there should even be a lawsuit at all, that much should be clear.

Funding Cut
The funding for this and the rail gun was recently cut by the Senate Armed Services committe.

Hopefully this sees the light of day... some day... but I don't think it'll be under the current project. Too bad too. The FEL and rail gun are probably the coolest weapons projects out there.

Re:What goes around...
I'm so tired of that argument, when the first thing reviews mention, often in the friggin title, is how much these phone like an iPhone then it goes somewhat beyond "well they're both phones." Case in point :

Re:coke or pepsi
No only if you purposefully make them look so much alike that it can potentially confuse the consumer. Like when you make a nearly identical handset and change the icons to very closely resemble the iPhone ones. Now personally I don't think this should be against the law, but the first time I saw a commercial for one of these phones I do remember thinking to myself they were shameless iPhone rip offs. I'm not the only one either :

Re:Let's ban school sports then
Don't know why I'm bothering to reply to an AC, but anyways...
If you do not want to participate in sports, that is your choice. However, the same cannot be said about a student who does not want to be exposed to cell phone and wi-fi radiation and that is the problem.
Same thing can be said about students who don't want to be exposed to sunlight, because it is known* to cause cancer. Shall we cover all approaches to schools with light-proof tunnels? Black out shades on all windows and busses? But wait, what about the studies that 'prove' fluorescent lights can cause cancer too?
Sure, sunlight is a basic necessity for growing minds, but more and more in this day and age, so is wireless communication and access to computer resources. Sure it can detract from the learning experience by distracting the student from their studies, just as all that nice warm sunlight on the ball field used to provide similar distractions. Sure, information and communication for schools could be effected by landlines instead, with the corresponding severe restrictions on both number of users and physical location for access. Not to mention the cost and environmental impact of mining, laying and maintaining that much more copper and plastic...
IMHO, the societal impact of allowing our learning generation ready access to current news and events as well as increasingly efficient forms for the more traditional sources of knowledge (searchable textbooks and encyclopedias, for example) is net positive, as long as we include some education regarding how to critically assess the information being presented to them. Just as we (hopefully) teach our kids not to believe everything they're told, we should be teaching them that not everything written or presented on the intertubes is true, and most especially how to think for themselves.
* 'known' as in 'well, some guys did a half-assed study and noted that if they exposed lab animals to a metric-crapload of demon X, it caused hazard Y to develop, and conclude (with a straight face no less) that therefore any amount of demon X must cause hazard Y!'
Don't get me wrong I enjoy the freedom of cell phones and wireless Internet but not at the cost of someone else's freedom to not participate. Why can't we come up with some solutions such as local wi-fi hot-spots that are insulated against radiation emissions (maybe like a smoking room) and probably many other ideas that we as a society could come up with if we made a decision to do so.
If the student (or more correctly, the overprotective and misinformed parent) is that concerned, perhaps there can be special faraday-protected classrooms set up to accommodate them. These classrooms could be rigged to be sunlight and fluorescent light proof as well, leaving them completely safe and utterly in the dark.

Re:The full range of corporate, I mean, US interes
Small note of interest - China approached the US a few months ago and asked permission to translate the Guidelines for Smart Grid Security into Chinese (which was granted). If you haven't looked at it before, at least look at the introduction - it's pretty comprehensive, and comes from the NIST Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP), which is a partnership between NIST, academia, and private and public companies (yes, Google too).

Taking him prinsoner would have complicated matters even more. Bringing him to US soil would have required absurd level of security. The 9/11 acts might be very hard to prove to bin laden. Sending him to a court would have given his political views a public view.
Since bush painted him public enemy nr 1. any American has no other option than to go after him. Not doing so would make you a communist^h^h^h^h^h terrorist cuddler. Stricly speaking this was not dedendable on international law. The US sees this different as a "war" on terrorism, that would place it on war rights, where it might be defendable.
Beside that don't forget the Guantanamo Bay is also only legal shaky ground, a lot more people are kept there, potentionally innocent. And the normal legal system might not pass as fair, with justice department making all kind of deals with criminals, and 90% of cases never to to court anyway.

Re:meet the new boss
The Supreme Court has long held (since the 1800s) that searches at international borders don't require a warrant.
In addition, the courts have repeated ruled that national security warrantless wiretaps are legal, such as this recent ruling:
Intelligence Court Releases Ruling in Favor of Warrantless Wiretapping
The judges ...concluded that the government's protections and restrictions included in the 2007 procedures were appropriate. "Our decision recognizes that where the government has instituted several layers of serviceable safeguards to protect individuals against unwarranted harms and to minimize incidental intrusions, its efforts to protect national security should not be frustrated by the courts," Selya wrote in the 29-page opinion. He added that requiring a warrant in such cases would probably "hinder the government's ability to collect time-sensitive information and, thus, would impede the vital national security interests that are at stake."
And here are just a few recent examples of why they might need to do so:

Well, that's maybe where we differ. I think we need to be adults and think of everybody, especially if Al Qaeda is successful in getting nuclear weapons, which they already have permission to use.
But, if it will make you more comfortable, for the moment lets forget about the children, and see where we stand. We can recap, and maybe you could point out what is actually wrong instead of in essence saying "I don't like it".
I pointed out that the courts have ruled against your assertion that the government's national security wiretapping is illegal, and a human rights violation: Intelligence Court Releases Ruling in Favor of Warrantless Wiretapping
Even the page you linked to noted the EFF defeat on the legal question:

This points to a genuine, current, dangerous threat of people being killed by militant Muslim extremists. I assume you don't debate that they are genuine.

All the actions of our government over the last few years are those of a governement afraid it's own people will rise against it, not one worried about our safety from terrorists, should be clear to almost anyone by now.
No, it's terrorists - that's pretty clear given the limited actions they've taken domestically along with the fact that we continue to change our government with elections, have a free press, free speech, 2nd Amendment rights, are free to work and travel largely as we please (even if there is the nuisance of security checks prior to flights). I'd love to see your version of how this somehow isn't the case.
To the extent they've stopped even a single credible terrorist plot (I haven't noticed they have prevented a single one) all they've managed is to deny me some good clean fun on moving target practice -- it's a total lose-lose.

If you bother to read bin Laden's 'letter to America', you will see that in order for him to call off his minions, Americans will have to convert to his flavor of Islam, give up the constitution, implement Sharia law (which will mean cutting off hands of thieves, stoning adulterers, no more alcohol (prohibition again), drugs, porn, executing homosexuals, etc., etc., etc.), and many other odious demands.
Ultimately this is about various factions of Islam trying to extend their power by force. It won't go away soon. I suggest you get used to it.
By the way - the Muslim Brotherhood is not helping.

Re:Add Bill Maher to your list
"On the other hand, not eating your veggies just affects your own health."
Well, are you saying being vegetable deficient (or eating too much sugar and refined starch etc.) does not put everyone else's health at risk as well, by the same argument you use for promoting vaccination, if such an eating style compromises someone's immune system?
Example:
http://www.google.com/search?q=immune+system+vegetables
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/587037/best_fruits_and_vegetables_to_help.html
"Regularly eating fresh fruits and vegetables is the natural way to boost your immune system."I'm not saying whether that applies to you. That is just a general fact about health. And even the most casual glance at US Americans shows almost all are vegetable deficient.
I personally am not angry with you whatever you eat or why; you just sounded angry about the vaccination issue. I'm just asking you, if that anger exists and is justified, is it legitimate to consider such anger applicable for other contexts?
It's OK to be angry, even healthy; it's what we do with the anger that matters.
http://pbskids.org/rogers/songLyricsWhatDoYouDo.htmlShould I get angry when I see someone drive up to a fast food restaurant?
It would seem to me that if a person is not eating well, and then that person's immune system can't fight off infection well because that person is vegetable deficient by a lifestyle choice or unwillingness to break out of a "pleasure trap", then that person is creating a health hazard for other people?
Of course, not many people know about pleasure traps or how to break out of them, so the issue of willfullness is questionable, and in this society, the whole society essentially makes it hard to eat well:

You can probably take it as a rule of thumb from now on that if people don't think you're weird, you're living badly."With that said, I can see your point about the issue of what public figures say as opposed to what private individuals do, which is indeed a very good point I can agree with.

Re:I need choice...
Too small indeed; I agree with you completely. Small cars are more dangerous. They found this out during studies of the effects of the CAFE standards:
More shockingly, increased CAFÉ standards also increase fatalities in automobile accidents. This is because automobile companies meet the new fuel standards by building smaller cars and trucks built of lighter but more fragile material, which protects motorists less during automobile accidents. Source
People can find more sources for that information if they want. There's a ton of them.
Additionally, light cars might be fine for those who putz around warm weather climates, but I live up in the snow belt of America. The high winds can blow lighter cars all over the place, including right off the road. I have to drop sand bags in my car during the winter months because my 2005 Focus, a 4-door car, is too light for safe driving in certain conditions.
And, I do not believe that the government should be handing out subsidies. Let a private investor carry that cost. Why should the nation pay for someone who can afford a $30,000 car in the first place? If a company wants to take a large loan to subsidize the cost of the first batches of vehicles, that's fine. That's their business. There's a good chance that it will work, because otherwise someone wouldn't have put up the money.
Make an electric car that I can afford and suits my needs and I will buy one. Right now they're just not viable. One million of them in the next few years? Yeah right. They can't even sell 500 units of the Leaf and Volt COMBINED in one month:
It’s official, there are now mass-produced all-electric vehicles on the streets of America thanks to Nissan North America. Yesterday, automakers posted their final December 2010 sales figures and for the first time, the Nissan Leaf appeared on this list. During the month, the company sold 19 Nissan Leaf models to customers in select cities including Olivier Chalouhi. Chalouhi, who lives in Redwood City, California, was the first Nissan Leaf owner in the United States.
The other much-anticipated vehicle release of late 2010, the Chevy Volt, fared better in sales than the Nissan Leaf despite its higher price tag. During December 2010, Chevy sold 326 Volt models. Determining the owner of the first Chevy Volt is a bit more difficult than figuring out who owned the first Nissan Leaf. Source
Why aren't people interested in the Leaf?
Maybe it has to do with the 100-mile range (and that's with a new battery). Maybe it's the 16-18 hours needed to fully recharge time at home, with the $2,000+ charging station that you need to buy in addition to the car. Oh, but the commercial charging stations are faster, don't worry. They only take 30 minutes. Want to turn on the heater because it's cold outside? I hope you don't have to go far, because the heater is electric too.
That doesn't sound like a car I want.
I'm not trying to poo-poo the concept of the electric vehicle. I think they are definitely the future of the car once we have the proper technology. The technology simply isn't here yet, and the government trying to force it down everyone's throats isn't going to help. Maybe in ten years. Maybe in twenty. But not now.
Side rant: It is unsurprising, but still disgusting, that politicians go on and on about how the upper class doesn't "pay their fair share" and how the poor are exploited and blah blah blah, and then they want to subsidize people to buy expensive cars...
...Cars that only wealthy people can afford in the first place. -

http://www.debunkingskeptics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1442Professor Michael Prescott found that James Randi’s million dollar challenge is very much an illusion that have fooled people for decades:

These are not my claims, and there are many many more, however hard to find now. Some is to be found in articles, some in books. I'll let the reader make the good judgement wether this is true or false, I don't have the time or interest to investigate it in detail for you.
You missed my point entirely though. Since everything "supernatural" can be explained away with magic tricks or similar mundane tricks, then it is impossible to prove that you just did something "supernatural". If you read more about James Randi, you'll see his argumentation is dismissive of diversity of people, intolerant and arrogant. So the "Challenge" then quickly turns into a fight for survival, and often end up in the courts. Not very nice.
Yeah, you moron, because that's what he's testing.
Wow, where did that come from?
If he let people win by 'statistics', he'd have a constant stream of people claiming they could predict a coin toss 75% of the time....and eventually one of them would happen to do that. Because that's how statistics work.
But how can you ever dismiss statistics? It is crucial to make discoveries and validate them in any field. Nothing is ever as black and white as some people want the world to be..
This has been discussed to death in other forums. If a basketball player misses the hoop 1 in 100 shots, is she no longer a basketball player? This is the way statistics is being misused to dismiss any results in the JRF chalenge. In the

Re:Why is this an issue?
It sounds like your doctor was a great doctor. I don't knock that. It also sounds like market forces are askew if your doctor was cheaper than your Mother's. You should give out your doctor's name here so other people can go to him, and he could charge more.
As for your contention that the AMA is a certifying agency that ensures doctors are qualified, I could point out numerous counter examples, where the AMA has hurt patients. We all want the best qualified doctors. However, I would rather have an excess of slightly less qualified doctors that could be seen in under 10 minutes, vs. a few ultra qualified doctors, who need an appointment 2 months in advance and just may flat out refuse to see me if I do not have the right condition/ amount of money.
Casebook example of too few doctors killing someone
Here the women died because she could not be seen in a timely manner.
I also think there should be some standards. However there is something seriously wrong with those standards if have interns working 80 hours a week, and doctors operating on the wrong side of the body because they are so overworked.
A simple example from my medical history. I received a tick bit in Mass. Not wanting to risk a case of Lyme disease, I went to the emergency room after gnawing the tick that tried to eat me. I already knew I needed a dose of doxyclyclene. I told the front desk secretary this. The hospital would not just give me a prescription for doxy. I could not just go to the pharmacy because in the USA this is illegal without a prescription. Apparently there are a lot of doxycyclene heads that are shooting up doxycyclene all the time, so the state has to regulate this drug. Instead I had to wait 2 hours for a doctor to see me, and administer the Doxy. I do not have insurance, so I was concerned over the cost. The attendants could not tell me what the cost would be. Apparently they need a team of highly paid economics majors to calculate the price of treatment. When I expressed my concerns the attendant said not to worry because, if I could not foot the bill, the state would, as that health care was mandatory in this state. It ended up costing the state over $250.
Everything that is wrong with this could have been fixed if market forces had been involved. First off. I could have just gone to the pharmacy, and picked up my own drug. Secondly It would not have taken so long to see the physician. Thirdly costs would be less.
Lastly the hospital would have actually cared about what things cost. -
Does it hurt, being as wrong as you are?

But perhaps the best explanation, and the most damning to your case, can be found here:

I'll reprint the relevant bit here, because it is such an absolute and direct refutation of your silly, uninformed opinions.
According to 12 CFR 359.1 [Title 12 -- Banks and Banking; Chapter III -- Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; Subchapter B -- Regulations and Statements of General Policy; Part 359 -- Golden Parachute and Indemnification Payments], golden parachute payment means “any payment (or any agreement to make any payment) in the nature of compensation by any insured depository institution or an affiliated depository institution holding company for the benefit of any current or former IAP pursuant to an obligation of such institution or holding company that:
(i) Is contingent on, or by its terms is payable on or after, the termination of such party's primary employment or affiliation with the institution or holding company; and
(ii) Is received on or after, or is made in contemplation of, any of the following events:
(A) The insolvency (or similar event) of the insured depository institution which is making the payment or bankruptcy or insolvency (or similar event) of the depository institution holding company which is making the payment; or
WOW! So, "Golden Parachutes" are actually (among other things) meant to protect executives in the case of bankruptcy.
I just have to ask, why do you bother? I mean, every. single. time. you try to argue with me, you lose. Doesn't it get tiring?
