Ah, but when you agree with the Borg you must not clap as that is 'triggering' The Borg are sensitive to clapping. You must use 'jazz hands':
http://www.breitbart.com/londo...And when a SJW tells you that disagreeing with them is rape, but you are a racist if you oppose traditional Muslim gang rape (Taharrush gamea) of 'infidel' girls, then you must also use jazz hands to show you are one with the SJW Borg Collective:

Re:So...a year with fewer hurricanes = no warming?
You know what, I owe you an unqualified apology. I got pissed off with you and implied that you were a moronic skeptic and that was uncalled for. Since you have decided to be the better man in this discussion, let me see if I can briefly put the facts in front of you.
I come to expect it with GW. Seems people all the way around are sick and tired of this subject. I think I know better, it's really hard to not say anything. Ok, let me continue.
No, the 1930s were not the warmest in the last century and not by a long shot. The information you based your claim on is profoundly flawed as it ignore ocean temperature changes. Given that the ocean covers the overwhelming majority of the earth's surface, I have no idea how any credible researcher could make that horrific a mistake.
Oh yes, the ocean temperatures that we can't quantify like surface temperatures. We simply lack data to be useful in this area. As for the 1930s, admit I'm right. Even Hansen himself admitted he was wrong on that one. If he admits it, you should too. I wasn't at the conference where he did that, however I was at Goddard later that day. They were still talking about it years later. Jim's stuff at Goddard doesn't seem to be online anymore. However I found this without a problem - http://www.breitbart.com/londo... . This should trouble you.
Damn, did you really just do that? Seriously? And you did this after verbally lambasting me for stopping to lump you in with the people who call Al Gore, Algore?
I'm sorry if you felt I was lambasting you. That wasn't the intention. I threw in Algore for a couple of reasons. The funny factor (especially if you hear his name on TV from now on - was it Al Gore or Algore?) and I don't think he deserves respect in this area. He's nothing more than a used car salesman to be honest with you. This stuff is way, way, way above him. If it weren't for his father, he'd be just a newspaper reporter in Tenn. Nobody would know who he is. In fact, he probably wouldn't have even made it out of Vietnam if it weren't for his father.
I found dozens of similar reports, some from universities, others from Youtube and the like. You know what I didn't find, a single credible study that even tried to claim CO2 doesn't trap heat. As far as those in the scientific community are concerned, this isn't even up for debate, no more than the earth being flat or that angry humors cause upset stomachs.
It isn't that we have a lot more to learn, we certainly do. And you are most welcome to be skeptical, but only if you can actually present more than some guy's blog who ended up being shown he was completely inept.
Ok, now I have to do some work in this area. For the first time in years. Great - let's look at the data. Try as I might, I can find the article cited, talked about, I can't find anything about the data itself, how it was collected, method, anything. You know, where's the science? We have just their word for it. Can you find the technical details of it? I'm a big hungry data guy. Feed me. A big clue in the article is they say clouds and water vapor can't be to blame. Really big flag, we CAN show water vapor heats things up. In fact water has almost everything to do with our weather. To dismiss it like they do is very troubling, however that could simply be the reporter. What the reporter writes is often a whole lot different than what really happened, sometimes to the point that you wonder if they were even there at all. I don't seem to see anything after that article came out (except for a few repeats recently that were just about verbatim.. which is suspicious, was it really an advertisement made to look like a science article?) and it's been years. Sounds fishy.

Re:DHS?
Why the hell would DHS being involved? This seems more like an FBI thing. I don't exactly understand how this is a homeland security issue.
Good thing the perp wasn't Muslim. DHS allowed the San Bernadino attack to happen, yet they're all over this. Listen to the interview of Philip Haney (near the bottom of the page in two parts).

Re:There are US DHS at London Gatwick??
US bound airlines submit lists of passengers to US authorities before departure. Anybody the US won't accept is not allowed to board though the strange thing here is that these people had all applied for visas in advance, and had them approved.
It's a wonder any Muslims are turned away at all from travel to the US regardless of whether or not they may have ties to violent groups.
The San Bernadino, CA killers might have been stopped before they killed 14 people but the US government halted the program that was in place to prevent such attacks because of political correctness.

Well of course. he dares to challenge the left wing narrative around here. Of course, I don't agree with everything he says, but with the left, it's all or nothing. Violate one position, and the media burns you alive for it. Like the media, the editors having a left wing slant on the stories they choose to let through the filter.
Bwaaahhaaa. To quote the well-known 'left-wing narrative' media person known as Lindsay Graham: “Donald Trump is a complete idiot.". (here). And “Donald Trump has done the one single thing you cannot do — declare war on Islam itself To all of our Muslim friends throughout the world, like the King of Jordan and the President of Egypt, I am sorry. He does not represent us.” here

I don't blame you. I just googled her and she is pretty terrifying, cold, and heartless.

Re:Just to be clear
I'm going to say it if no one else will. I have very deep distrust to the Ars Technica and especially the journalist Kyle Orland who wrote that article. He's known to be the founder and active member of a secret GameJournosPro mailing list where group of prominent game and tech journalists colluded to shape narrative around games and other stuff, push their political agenda and e.g. also black listed some of the journalists working on the field who didn't do what the members of the email list agreed to.
One of their goal was to create artificial hysteria around certain topics to gain more ad revenue from clicks. This Linux lags behind Windows in gaming performance could be true but at the same time it smells like a click-bait created for the purpose of rising hysteria and harming Valve for the gain of Microsoft and Sony. Considering the fact that Ars has been lately fairly eager to defend Microsoft and Windows 10 this doesn't come off too weird. Furthermore the question "why they choose to use such old hardware when we know that the latest SteamOS stuff is not optimised for that old target?" is a very good one.

Re:What happened to diversity?
Progressives don't really believe in diversity. They say that diversity brings multiple viewpoints, yet increasingly progressives are using force to shut down any viewpoint that they don't like. For example, a program called "Uncomfortable Learning" invited a speaker to lecture, then withdrew the invitation after students said the proposed subject matter was too uncomfortable. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/10/22/suzanne-venker-is-unwelcome-at-williams-college/ Or the college students who got both speakers from a debate banned... one was supposed to argue the liberal viewpoint, the other the conservative viewpoint, and the students didn't want to hear either one. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/10/07/breitbarts-milo-yiannopoulos-banned-from-university-debate-about-censorship/
Progressives will count up how many people have assorted skin colors, and compare to the population and judge whether they are being "diverse" enough. Yet there are very few Republicans or conservatives in any place dominated by progressives, and even fewer who are not in the closet. Nearly half the population is conservative, yet conservative thinking is unrepresented in a modern university.
Next time a university claims to be diverse, ask how many Republican professors they have outside of their Economics program.
P.S. Above post is flagged for US-centrist viewpoint. I denounce myself. But the situation is the same in other countries... just replace $NAME with the appropriate local $NAME, KTHXBAI.

Re:That's strange!
That's strange, the oil fields, which ISIS has illegally sold the oil to Turkey, one of the most important resources of ISIS, still operated during the U.S and NATO bombing, and now stopped by Russian.
That's strange, ISIS never had to cut their beard and masked as women to flee to Arab Saudi, Turkey, until Russian bombs them.
That's strange, when Russian didn't bomb Al-Quaeda/ISIS, the Al-Quaeda claimed Syria will be Russian graveyard.
That's strange, while the West try hard to play down the role of Russia in Syria, the people in the region love Putin.
That's strange, MH17, there is no U.S satellite data, but the 9268 case, they quickly released the data of "heat flash" detected by satellite.
Of course, any conclusions right now could be considered "conspiracy". And I do NOT blame any NATO/U.S for "suspected bombing" of 9268, but I think this the opportunity to press on Putin plan on Syria, may shape public opinion about anti-bombing campaign in Syria among Russian population. -

Re:Same applies to so-called "climate science"
The following from James Delingpole yesterday says it far better than I ever could: http://www.breitbart.com/big-g...
The gist seems to be that he read about an omission in climate models, claims it's grounds to question the evidence for climate change, and takes umbrage that others disagree. In particular, he quotes:
The atmospheric chemists from France and Germany, however, could now show that isoprene could also be formed without biological sources in surface film of the oceans by sunlight and so explain the large discrepancy between field measurements and models. The new identified photochemical reaction is therefore important to improve the climate models.
From this he concludes:
The computer models on which anthropogenic global warming theory are based are inadequate to the task because they fail to take into account all the real-world data.
Earlier in the article he stated:
You don't need to be a climate scientist to understand this stuff. Or even a scientist.
I don't find the article convincing, because I think you do need an understanding of a model to determine how much of an impact a discrepancy in particular data will be likely to have on the model's reliability.
In some particular model, some data may be critical, and other data less so, and it may be possible to approximate some data without a large effect on the outcome. To take an extreme example, astronomical models often approximate stars and planets as point masses, thereby approximating all of us out of existence. This is clearly a gross approximation for many purposes, but often not so much of an issue for astronomy.
I know something about astronomical models, at least with regards to Newtonian physics, and am fairly comfortable making the above claim. I don't know much about climate models, and don't claim to know the significance of the discrepancy. There's nothing in the article, however, to convince me that the author knows any more about this than I do.
-
Same applies to so-called "climate science"
The following from James Delingpole yesterday says it far better than I ever could: http://www.breitbart.com/big-g...
Some choice quotes:
"You don’t need to be a climate scientist to understand this stuff. Or even a scientist. But it has long suited the alarmist camp to pretend otherwise because it would like us all to believe that “climate change” is a mystery which only the elect can understand. That is, they wish to confer on climate scientists the status priests used to have before the invention of the printing press and the translation of the Bible into the vernacular"
"The thing is that thing that I mentioned at the beginning: the guys providing the science for the alarmist agenda are often really quite low-grade."
"The computer models on which anthropogenic global warming theory are based are inadequate to the task because they fail to take into account all the real-world data. And it’s not me saying this stuff: this is a viewpoint coming directly from the alarmist camp."
"But basically, they haven’t a ****ing clue. They can’t do logic; they can’t read or understand the most rudimentary argument; they refuse to accept the truth of their own findings. They’re a bunch of second-raters who yet have the gall to invite us to believe that on their say-so should depend the future of climate science, global environmental policy and, by extension, the world’s economy."

Re:Government contracts
What do we gain by completely open borders? Should we allow anyone with a criminal background to come into the US? Personally, I think we should go back to the model of allowing massive legal immigration of the best and brightest.
Too many illegal immigrants take jobs for below-legal wages, fail to obey other laws (illegal immigrants are 10 times more likely to commit a crime as compared to legal immigrants), and tend to depress wages - especially painful for those on the lower end of the economic scale.
If illegal immigration is such a wonderful thing, can you share a country that has totally open borders and welcomes all, with not immigration check or control?

Yes. She is *literally* lying now, like she *literally* *lied* all those other times. This is the official response from law enforcement
A police report or investigation as to Brianna Wu has not been filed or referred to this office. That is the normal method to report a crime, cause an investigation or seek a prosecution. Brianna Wu has had no contact with anyone in this office or the cyber stalking unit of the city prosecutors office. Brianna Wu has not provided any evidence to this office, including any tapes of phone calls allegedly received.
... from the same link
...Wu claims the latest anonymous phone call also came from from #GamerGate, but the voice recording she uploaded contains no mention of the gamers’ movement. Archived threads from the 8ch.net discussion forum reveal that Wu’s phone number had in fact been targeted by
/baphomet/, a community that is explicitly hostile to #GamerGate. As well as revealing the personal information of high-profile supporters of #GamerGate, baphomet posters have also been known known to pose as ‘members’ of the movement in order to discredit it. In further evidence that the latest ‘threat’ is an online hoax in the vein of Jace Connors, the recording also makes reference to “you laugh you lose threads” being “f**king retarded”, a reference to a popular in-joke on the anonymous imageboards frequented by web pranksters.... and yet, it seems the only credible danger was *to* GG *from* anti-GG
...So far, the only threat deemed “credible” by the authorities has been an anonymous bomb threat made against a gathering of #GamerGate supporters in Washington D.C. earlier this month.
Be plain. Vague insinuations are a scoundrel's game.
Plainly? The only credible aggression is from the ideological crusade side. Hell, even on

Not that I find the threats credible, but that's *your* side that needs to learn how to communicate like adults. Maybe you should deal with the aggression coming from your ideological partners before asking the rest of the world to do so first. -

And right now I'd like to point out that Randi Lee Harper is speaking at OSCON this weekend.
TL;DR: A large and prominent tech conference (3.5K attendees) run by O'Reilly Media and sponsored by major tech companies is presenting Randi as an "anti-harassment" activist. When evidence of her track record of abuse and harassment was brought to the attention of the conference organizers last month, they publicly dismissed those contacting them about her as "trolls".
WHY THIS MATTERS: This is by far the biggest venue Randi has ever appeared in and the deception that she and the conference organizers are engaged in is shameful. If enough of us post evidence of who Randi really is to the #OSCON tag, there's a very good chance that future conference organizers (and their sponsors) will think twice before embarrassing themselves by giving Randi a platform.
DETAILS:
Although #OSCON was notified of Randi's antics when news of her speaking engagement became public last month, they chose to ignore the evidence, instead of taking seriously their obligation to their attendee's well-being. That or Dice decided to pull a Reddit and just hide them so they didn't appear "unfriendly to women in industry".
Adding insult to injury, a statement by @joshsimmons dismissed those who had raised concerns as "trolls":
http://www.oscon.com/open-sour...
They followed this statement up with a fawning "interview" in their online magazine in which they didn't ask Randi a single question about her atrocious behavior:

The conference starts today (Wednesday) and runs until Friday. Detailed information including the list of sponsors, can be found at http://www.oscon.com./
Details about Randi's talk can be found here: http://www.oscon.com/open-sour....
Here are some links to some resources about Randi's misbehavior, such as Milo's just concluded series of articles, Ralph's followup, and Stephanie Greene's series from a few months ago. Please post links to other resources, such as blogs, articles, images, etc., which you think are worth posting to the #OSCON hashtag, in the comments.

Re:Well, that's a wrap folks
Yeah, that's the bit that says "So, I can’t talk specifically about all of our funding."
Then there is also "A family relative offered us the chance to live in Frank’s grandmother’s house for free if we renovated it.", which translates to "We mooched off of relatives and they let us stay at the inlaw house if we agreed to clean it."
Seriously, everybody should read this and check all of the linked content too. These are moments when Wu exposes herself as a perpetual victim who needs constant funding, not to put toward a game, but to fight her internet trolls.
I have spoken about Wu and her views with both my girlfriend and my sister and they say Wu doesn't have a place to speak about women's rights. Being a trans-woman, especially being a recent convert at that, does not entitle Wu to speak for women. They also agree with my assessment that Wu is just playing a victim for attention and money.
Wu is a scammer.

Re:Too many white and Asian males
Maybe we could convince some of the to identify as black females. Really the only problem is which box is checked on a questionnaire somewhere.

Re:He has a talent for understatement
I have every reason to believe that Romney would have gathered the same group of advisers around him that had encouraged W to go too far and pushed their propagandizing of the Red states to new heights in hopes of dragging a few trillion more dollars out of the American public while turning the odometer over from IRAQ to IRAN, as a popular poster in US military sites so proudly proclaimed
He actually did this. Basically his foreign policy during his campaign was PNAC alumni and FPI members. It wasn't any kind of mistake or coincidence that he titled his foreign policy page "New American Century". This wasn't a dog-whistle. It was a shout with a bullhorn.
Marco Rubio has taken the same slogan. It's not a coincidence either.

Notice that this isn't MSNBC pointing this out.
What Breitbart doesn't do is fully explain what it means and who it is. They certainly do link to Sourcewatch, but people hardly click through.
American Enterprise Institute -> PNAC ->FPI
They're not going away and their modus is to find a stooge to manipulate. And they've found at least one.
BTW, I just discovered the Library of Congress has archived the PNAC site.
It's never going away or going to be scrubbed. How cool is that?

Re:You have got to be kidding me
Really? Cause it sure shows up easily on a 29" monitor. And of course you can't forget the other stuff either. I'm sure someone will go hurdurdur breitbart because they have an ideological bias.

Re:Transgender voice?
Here's her anti-transgender voice:
I don’t like the term transgender. It means nothing specific. If you are a transsexual like me, good lords. Run, don’t walk to therapy. Make your peace with it. Live your life.
and
Although I have no doubt that many get strength from them, I personally do not believe in going to support groups with transsexuals and transvestites. Before transition I found private therapy sufficient. After transition my attitude is the following – ‘Either you are a woman, or you are not. Why would you hang out with a bunch of transsexuals if you are a woman?’
