Jack Thompson takes on the world, and loses!
Gees, first Jack Thompson takes on Penny Arcade, and loses.
Then he takes on VG Cats, and loses.
He also took on a news reporting website, and lost (I forgot the name).
If history is any indicator on how successful he's going to be with this "lawsuit" (and I'll beleive it when I see it, this guy is a known liar after all) as he was with Penny Arcade.
He should just do what Anne Rice does, and beat people who say bad stuff about him to a pulp both online and offline. I'd also like to go on record as saying that if Anne Rice ever comes to Australia, I love her Jesus book. However if she doesn't ever come here, I wouldn't use it to wipe my ass. -

The snakes have found a way to keep the rats in a coral, or so they think.
Oh dear god, now they've got scuba diving rats?! F**king Snakes! -

Re:$20mil for a GAME?
If you're an established company, and you don't pay a premium for voice talent, you should be able to make a top-notch game of any type for less than $20 mil. $20 million is a *lot* of money.
Maybe they needed new hats. -
Indie content is coming too
Gabe's newspost at Penny-Arcade.com on Monday announced that they will have content available on Day One also. PA fan or not, it's a decent indicator of the sort of access Microsoft is giving those with the desire to put up their designs and whatnot for sale in the Xbox 360 Marketplace.
That said, PA is the only example I've heard of, so maybe they're just good at stroking a cock or two. There is lots of them hens and roosters at Microsoft I hear. -

Only thing is, most of the Mac users I know are more like, named Raven, or something, ya know? and are just so totally the "elitist asshole."

Re:Meh... / Xbox 360 launch
I posted on Penny-Arcade forums. Basically the conversation talked about how it's a good idea to wait for a game you want to play before you buy a system. With each new system, you see less difference in games than the last system, and the original launch titles are must buys because there isn't a whole lot of options in games. I think Nintendo 8 bit was the biggest step forward in gaming, and will remain so for quite sometime. These new systems don't impress me though because there isn't a game out that I want. Sure I am waiting for next gen online competitive games personally, but universally many people are agreeing to wait for good games before deciding which console to buy.

Right, except that the majority of the industry is interested in implementing these features, so those engineers with experience in the technology will be in demand.

Penny Arcade on printing out the internet:
Gabe: You need to get some more print cartridges.
Tycho: What is all this shit?
G: The web.
T: Which Web?
G: The Internet Web.
T: The whole thing?
G: No, I'm at about B. You just ran out of ink. Look, we just went through this! -

Re:memories
As a side note, anyone know anything about get well gamers? They seem to be asking for non-monitary donations, but as I recall, last year Gabe said they weren't allowed to give already used stuff (I could be wrong on this).
Childs Play does not accept used games but Get-well-gamers.org does. They even accept broken games which they repair or scavenge for parts. -

Re:US, UK, Canada
I don't necessarily think you're wrong, but I do think your comment is misplaced, with regard to childsplay.
This was a spur of the moment thing they started before Christmas a few years ago. I remember reading the newspost - they were pissed that gamers were always shown as a bunch of demented teenagers running around with trench coats and black-tape pentagrams on their social studies book covers. They wanted to show these condescending media pricks what the gaming demographic actually is like.
And then they made $110,000 in, what, 2 months? Just for donations for the Seattle Children's Hospital (I'm not sure if that's the name, but it's the children's hospital in the seattle area, I believe). Games - not just video games, but board games and coloring books and crayons and whatever-it-is that kids play with. The response was staggering.
It was after this year that the letters started rolling in. Parents of children in these children's hospitals. Now-grown-up children who visited these hospitals. I highly, highly recommend you read the letters yourself. If you're not choked up at the end of it, then I posit the notion that you're a cylon. Or a heartless monkey. Your call.
Letters concerning childsplay
My favorite. -

Re:Got some bad news for you Mr. Dell...
Self expression? People have been selling modified/original case designs for PCs for a long time now, in many shapes, colours and designs. Apple doesn't express MY personal expression at all. In fact, they don't have a clue what MY personal expression is in the first place. If you buy in to this whole "Apple lets me express myself through it's hardware design" thing, you've been caught by Apple's marketing BS.
In fact, all their "self expression" says to me, is "Buy our products, because we're trendy. You're not cool like us unless you're going along like sheep with our trend.". And then, this always appears to come to mind right after.

I was looking for this post on Penny Arcade about people saying "M$" are idiots, but I only found the opposite.
Google caters to people's greed and ignorance (and the extreme type of such stemming from being "cool" - what's usually only gotten by the government or the news). -

Re:Why Xen and not vservers?
Aside from your post indeed being interesting and informative (It would be even moreso with more information related to exactly what's going on), I can't believe you'd choose a sig like your own. Do you have some sort of vendetta? Are you Fred Phelps or just have a sick obsession with what other people do in their private lives? Sheesh.
The Penny Arcade formula always proves true.

Alternatively, they could just win "Most Evil." -
