I'm not sure about plans for mass genocide to solve environmental issues, but here's a story about a couple that murdered their children and then committed suicide themselves to help solve global warming.

First, to your points: while perhaps 20 years ago your "97%" number may have been convincing, I no longer accept that a) really any source is objective (there is no news media that doesn't seem to have a bias one way or another) and even accepting that 97% as accurate, b) scientists are human too, subject to peer pressure, and are just as subject to herd-mentality as anyone else.

Second, no debate at all on the production of CO2, obviously.

Third, agreed on the premise of GHG as incontestable. However, I would raise a caveat that CO2 is the key bogeyman; let's be clear that water vapor is staggeringly overwhelming in its influence in the system.

Fourth, violent and extreme weather patterns: not sure that's a convincing line of argument as we're getting into weather not climate, but in terms of hurricanes (for example) the recent few seasons have been amazingly QUIET.

My debate about GW is mnay-fold, some may seem superficial to you but these go into my overall impression:
1) I utterly don't care about the last 10, 20 or even 50 years. That's not climate, and no worthwhile conclusions can be drawn from that period. A 5- or 10- or even 50-year trend can be the result of any number of short-term system inputs to the point that it's indistinguishable from static.
2) My initial exposure to the issue was An Inconvenient Truth, which was so riddled with gross errors of fact, convenient misstatements, begged questions, and histrionic narcissism that I admit my first impression was, and continues to be, negative.
3) "global warming" has now been replaced by "global climate change"...a telling 'adjustment' of language that smacks of retconning.
4) most importantly, look in the paleoclimate data.http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/datalist.html as well as the charted aggregate values on wiki,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:All_palaeotemps.png (which I wish wasn't log-scaled'd in the x-axis, as I think it would show the results more naturally, as the current format overemphasizes the significance of recent values). Yes, temps are climbing. But why is today's rise somehow different intrinsically than that 5000 years ago? 7500? 100ky? Several times historically temps peaked VERY quickly, too. I find it unlikely that a circumstance that has repeated itself many times historically is THIS TIME due to humans. I just don't believe it. For that matter, the bulk of earth's history has been SIGNIFICANTLY warmer than now. If we're arguing what is "normal", the current cooling period might simply be over.
5) I'm not sure it's worth dissecting all the FUD that's been tossed around about climate change, but here's a few: Corals dying? Really? How does that reconcile with the fact that it's been both MUCH warmer and MUCH more CO2 historically, and they are one of the oldest lifeforms on earth. Sea level rising? Personally, I don't care - no human city was sited based on survivability over long timespans. All human contructs have an ultimate survivability of 0% once you extend the time frame out far enough. To suggest that humans in the prehistoric area plopped down settlements that were particularly convenient and thus grow the largest are somehow sacrosanct from wind, weather, and any number of other natural processes is basically absurd.
6) finally, regarding the basic credibility of the AGW prop

I don't care if someone has my name, picture, iris scan, birth mark, and sperm sample. If I decide one day to kill a bunch of bankers, ID'ing me won't bring those parasites back from the dead.

This is where Precrime comes into play. A foregone conclusion that police officers will arrest people in the future for crimes they were going to commit if not stopped by the law, and the justice system will be altered so people who were going to commit a crime can be treated as convicted of the crime.

If you will commit a crime it has already been anticipated in the manner of time and date, you get picked up by authorities before you even knew you were going to commit a crime. The Iris scanners could even help with this, as long as the authorities have a way of knowing the last place you were scanned, they should in theory have a way of automatically knowing where to send a detachment of troops to arrest you to prevent the crime from being attempted, they just need to ensure access to the database (thanks to the Patriot Act, that should be no problem).

Law enforcement agencies in Washington D.C. have begun to use technology that they say can predict when crimes will be committed and who will commit them, before they actually happen.

... forms of pre-crime technology in use or under development include surveillance cameras that can predict when a crime is about to occur and alert police, and even neurological brain scanners that can read people’s intentions before they act, thus detecting whether or not a person has “hostile intent”.

The British government has previously debated introducing pre-crime laws in the name of fighting terrorism. The idea was that suspects would be put on trial using MI5 or MI6 intelligence of an expected terror attack. This would be enough to convict if found to be true “on the balance of probabilities”, rather than “beyond reasonable doubt”.

The government even has plans to collect lifelong records on all residents starting at the age of five, in order to screen for those who might be more likely to commit crimes in the future. Google and In-Q-Tel have recently injected a sum of up to $10 million each into a company called Recorded Future, which uses analytics to scour Twitter accounts, blogs and websites for all sorts of information, which is used to “assemble actual real-time dossiers on people.”

The company describes its analytics as “the ultimate tool for open-source intelligence” and says it can also “predict the future”.

Getting stuff cheaper works great in the office with the spreadsheet tallying up the beans. Well, here is one I could remember off the top of my head, even though I'm not the GP...Al Gore will become a carbon billionaire if he gets carbon credits (which frankly is the stupidest idea since catholic indulgences) passed. Sadly for all those "libertarian Yay!" types, this is what happens when you completely deregulate a market that has such a high barrier to entry. Last I heard nearly all TV/Radio/Print outlets were owned by..what? Seven major multinationals now? The odds of getting heard by the masses if your message isn't approved of by at least one of those multinationals is now pretty much zip.

And of course if you piss those multinationals off expect to have every talking head on the airwaves next week talking about what a crazy nutjob you are, and sadly most of the population will believe what they are told. Such is the incredible power of the MSM. Putting an issue on the ballot won't do jack shit if nobody ever gets to hear about it, which if you try to do anything that cuts off the money printing machine that is copyrights you can bet you last soon to be worthless dollar nobody will hear anything even remotely positive about your ballot. It will be a "job costing income robbing artist screwing socialist plot!" or something similar.

Because the self appointed "leaders of the movement" are hypocritical bastards? Take Al Gore, Mr "Inconvenient Truth" himself. His fat ass goes puttering around on his own personal LEAR JET blowing through carbon like David Crosby blows through coke, then he has the 50 pound brass plated balls to say he is "carbon neutral" because he pays his OWN COMPANY for "carbon credits" which of course he makes massive profits off of. With leaders like that, who needs enemies? Their own hypocrisy is so thick it would choke a Lama!

Now it would be different if the green movement told Al Gore, who BTW if he gets carbon credits passed will become a carbon billionaire overnight (talk about a conflict of interest!) and instead replaced him with someone like Ed Begley,Jr who actually walks the walk and aren't jumping on the green movement just to line their pockets with other people's money.

If there is one thing folks hate, it is a hypocrite and a scammer, and right now Al Gore and the other greenies come off about as trustworthy as used car salesmen. Sure there are plenty of those on the other side trying to make all man made impact on the earth look like bullshit, but do you really need to make it easier for them by having clowns like Al Gore, whose pushing for a market that will be ripe for abuse and fraud, just makes the whole environmental movement look like another scam?
