Re:My favourite gifts as a child
Dilbert, is that you?
Thanks - that was fun! I never had "the knack" in quite that way though. It took me quite a few years to learn how to put stuff back together after I had taken it apart, and longer still to acquire significant troubleshooting skill. (And I'm still just OK at troubleshooting - I'd rather design and build). But I was always fascinated with electricity. When I was being wheeled through the five-and-dime at the age of 2 or 3, I usually wasn't much interested in the toys. But electrical connectors and adapters, batteries, and the like - they all seemed to be calling my name. I had a 6-quart fruit basket filled electrical bits - plugs, light-bulb 'Y' adapters, cube taps, adapters to turn light sockets into outlets, etc. I played with them A LOT, and I even had a dummy outlet in my playroom. Apparently, even then I had sense enough not to play with live outlets. Not that that stopped me from getting some nice shocks when I was older - I was as immortal and oblivious as any kid most of the time.

Re:Stop randomly searching minorities.
The world is made up of shades of grey.
Cops need to start respecting the people and their rights again. The average person is not a (serious) criminal* so stop treating us as such. Police are supposed to serve the public. Demanding we respect you when you act like thugs is not a good approach.
Some minority communities have enormous problems. Black communities seem to produce way too many criminals and they keep murdering each other. Ignoring these problems is not resolving them.
It's possible we all need to get our shit together.

Reminds me of "magnetic universe" &...
See subject & this link about "Primer Fields" https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Primer+Fields/ & it makes sense as you can SEE his results right there (very, VERY interesting - all this crap about 'dark matter' falls apart as this model functions from our "frame of relativistic reality" down to the subatomic level as well).
* IF this article's right (magnetic fusion sounds much like electro-static fusion imo)? Then, it only makes the link above all the more sound too!
(Suns/Stars then work on this principle basically... & not only that, but Mr. LaPoint in the video is working on a power source that sounds much like this one (magnetic bottles containing a plasma core reaction that shows 'magnetic stress patterns' around it using metal filings in cones that encase the magnetic field & everything in this universe has a magnetic field - again, see what's in that link above, as I don't describe it well...)

P.S.=> I'm no scientist in this area but I know what my eyes have seen in the link above so take a peek & decide for yourselves if they both make sense together as well... apk

Re:So sick of the Fusion Scams
That's no longer the case. Increases in high-temperature high field superconductors have reduced the size necessary dramatically.

The reason why magnetic fusion doesn't work yet is because of the budget needed to build a large enough reactor.
The budget required is reducing with new reactor designs. MIT professor Dennis Whyte recently gave a talk on their plans for building a fusion reactor. See also a couple of other talks on MIT's ARC design and the smaller SPARC design.

Actually, Jerry, based on what O'Keefe's done in the past, including the result of the Planned Parenthood investigations that came out of his lies, there is zero reason to believe anything he produces. That you cite him, so uncritically, is a reason to disbelieve you.

Re:Hacking review !== Election results review
Really? Trump was claiming election rigging for months, and Bernie's failure proved it in the Dem nomination race, because of Clinton's "super delegates". Clinton and her sock puppets in the media and entertainment were so sure that she would win they denied any meaningful rigging existed. Hillary said that refusing to accept the election results was "horrifying", and "un-democratic and un-American". Refusing to accepts the results now is not those things, especially since she only collected 232 electoral college votes? She'd need to steal 68 votes from Trump to reverse the election, an impossibility.
It was only AFTER they lost that they started making claims about hacking and the ridiculous claim of Russian interference, and about "fake news sites". Before he won they were laughing at him and mocking him:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...The Democrats revealed a 2005 audio tape about Trump and pussy grabbing. Here is a 2006 audio of Hillary proposing election rigging:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
And this is to say nothing of her claims to have landed in Bosnia "under fire", or that the Benghazi debacle was caused by a YouTube video, that she was related to Sir Edmond Hillary ... the absurd lies go on and on. http://nypost.com/2015/11/28/h... and that doesn't cover the lies she told this year!
The fake news sites are the ones that repeated Hillary's lies without bothering to verify her statements before publishing them.Jill Stein, candidate that drew less than 1% of the popular vote, has no standing to demand a recount in any state.
Then she raises $6M to fight the results? According to Hillary she's horrifying, un-democratic and un-American for refusing to accept the results of the election. Clinton won Nevada by less than 27K votes, Colorado by less than 75K votes, Minnesota, by less than 44K votes and in New Hampshire Hillary Clinton won by less than 3,000 votes. If she is interested in merely "verifying" the results why doesn't she want a recount in those states as well? The facts are that Clinton would need 68 electoral votes to switch the results of election night. That big a shift has never happened and would never happen, not even this time. The Left's real purpose is to either corrupt the Electoral College with intimidation and death threats, or throw the election into the House by making it impossible for the Electoral College to function on December 19th, and you know it.. They still wouldn't win because the House is now controlled by the Republicans, but then the "Progressives" will claim that Trump stole the election and create chaos in the country, even worse than their Media Matters puppets have orchestrated with the SJWs and BLM since the election.

What I have against "BLM"... apk
See subject: Is that Soros funds them (& backed Hillary Clinton along w/ Wahhabi violent muslims in Saudi Arabia) + the FORD foundation (not even Ford Motor anymore) - the man who has stated he wants the USA broken, led his own Jew faithed folks into captivity & stealing from them, & think he is a God (literally, & a God/Christ complex is 1 of the 1st signs of a psychotic break) - he has NO QUALMS about doing what he does, saying "if I don't someone else will" & is completely amoral (morals are for men, NOT gods - right George? Above ALL else, a God NEEDS compassion (quoting Capt. Kirk to Lt. Gary Mitchell on that one from the StarTrek TOS 'pilot' episode "Where no man has gone before")).
Also, IF "black lives matter" then WHY the hell do they shoot one another in droves over drug related gang warfare dollars? Answer me that...
* Their bullshit's TOO EASY to shoot to pieces & see thru (their fav. color HAS to be 'transparent').
Are there great black folks? Absolutely!

The ONLY ones that are doing this are welfare leaches (whom I pay for in taxes) & those paid by soros.

P.S.=> It pisses me off, & does GOOD HARD WORKING BLACK FOLKS who are good USA citizenry working w/in the system doing well (they get more breaks than a white male does for jobs for Pete's sake & the bogus welfare drug dealing ones say they are 'downtrodden'? Vote Fraud it Vote Fraud. It is either "mythical" or it is real. There is plenty of hypocrisy by both (R) and (D) here. Its just that the Hypocrsy of the (D) is really clear this time. You're just pissed that they were caught.
What you just posted was a video of various people reloading laser jet printers with paper, randomizing the ballots before counting, and standing and talking to eachother. If you would just closely watch the video and research just a teeny tiny bit you would figure out that no fraud occurred, at least in that specific video.

Re:Managing Expectations
This was during the time that Google Earth was New! Exciting! AJAX?! For a prototype, we lifted *the customer's own marketing map graphic* and overlaid a colored disk at each location representing current status.
Two side effects of the prototype demo: first, the sheer wonderment of "how did you get that?! Is it a satellite?! IS IT GOOGLE EARTH?!" Second: "How does it know the status?" "Holy crap! Maple Ave node IS RED ZOMG CALL SOMEONE WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!"
The best part: explaining it was (1) a simple
.jpg we lifted directly from their marketing swag, and (2) it was just a prototype and didn't mean anything *did not do a damned thing*. They still believed we had satellites monitoring the systems (why satellites? How would satellites know the status?)This desperately needs to be called the Zoolander Effect.

Re:Hillary Lost Because of Her
Hillary lost because of real news about how she was a terrible candidate, not because of fake news or hate speech or the Russians or any other conspiracy theory.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...Here is my guess why she lost. People are actually fairly short-sighted. They vote for their own interests and ignore things that don't really matter to them. Trump lied about everything, but some of those lies appealed. Seriously, his lies often contradicted himself. Drain the swap. Seriously? Have you checked the swamp lately? I'm fairly sure fukushima is healthier. Return all the manufacturing jobs? Nope. Sure many may come back, but they are going to be done by robots. Cut taxes, yes he will probably do that, which will make the deficit even worse. Last time it happened they blamed the democrat that came after. Convenient aint it? Sure he saved what 2/3'rds of the carrier jobs, but he did it with a bribe. Bribing companies to not leave is not a strategy. That will not end well.
Destroy the EPA and regulations? Yea, he is going to do that. Hope you don't have grandchildren. Sure some probably need to go, but hiring deniers, is not the solution. Hell he was even trying to collect the names of everyone who helped obama develop climate policy, presumably for an enemies list.
Attempt to bully his way against, well everyone. Yea, he is doing that. I don't think this will work for long. Too many people are willing to tell him f u, right now and to hell with the consequences. I'm of course posting as an AC, so perhaps I'm not there yet. I'm assuming that within two years he will lost the respect from most people, and most governments, effectively weakening us for decades. Of course obama did a little of that when he threatened to act and didn't. Then again trump just might start to grind our military into the dust to address all real and imagined slights. We went from no drama obama, to all drama trump. He literally told us he would keep us in suspense as to whether he would accept the results of the election and has work to shutdown what would be harmless recounts.
Were the russians behind trump? Directly probably not, but he did have people communicating with wikileaks, and russia was hacking everyone to keep them topped off. They did everything they directly could. Were russian's enough to help trump win? Yes, they easily were. He didn't win by that much. In fact he lost by what close to 3 million votes.
Were non partisan greedy arses behind part of it? You bet. Apparently fake news makes money. They didn't care about the election. They just wanted paid for clicks and it worked really well. They probably did at least as much as Russia. Unfortunately I don't really see our electorate improving enough to wise up to these things.
Did comey basically gift wrap the white house for him? He did all he could. Comey easily pushed the election in Trump's favour.
Will a lot of people lose health insurance and die meaningless and sometimes lingering painful deaths once the protections of obamacare are gone? You bet. What you think elections didn't have consequences? Best case is they keep the popular bits and get rid of the unpopular bits, such as the mandate. Guess what that will do. Rates will explode then they will blame the democrats.
Will Trump change the court so much that women are forced to go to back alley abortions and such? Simon says yes, it is likely. He can certainly appoint enough judges in 4 years to flip it. He also said the women must be punished. What you don't believe him? It is possible he is lying. I'm pretty sure he supports cancelling the birth control provisions of Obamacare, which will just increase the number of children born to women not ready to raise them, and be an additional drain on societies resources.
Will Trump destroy our reputation for generations to come? Sure. He is basically saying fu to everyone but A

Re:Flappy birds clone
It's nothing like flappy bird.
The game is OBVIOUSLY a modded version of the New Super Mario Bros engine, used in NSMB, NSMB Wii, NSMB 2, and NSMB U. Anyone with passing knowledge of the industry can see it at a glance. The wall jump, air spin, coins, enemies, level designs and assets are all direct ports from NSMB.
The new additions seen so far are: Hopping over enemies, climbing up on ledges, the arrow blocks, and I think the arrow springs. And of course the constant running left or right. It's a clever concept for a mobile title I suppose, and at least it can be said that Nintendo will at least show kids on mobile what an actual games looks like.
But please. Just because your experience of video game over the last 5 years has been a parade of anemic titles that wouldn't have made it on Newgrounds 15 years ago, don't assume that a game that has green pipes and goes right is a clone of flappy bird.
Jesus. Have any of you even played a real video game?
